Still Married

Well, it’s been five days… and things are not going well. She squeezes the toothpaste from the top, she hogs all the covers… and someone’s been leaving the seat up. I should’ve thought this through.

There are some pluses though -- I don’t look so silly riding my tandem bike, and I can finally use those two-for-one coupons at Hometown Buffet. I also like answering the phone, “DeGeneres-de Rossi residence. To whom may I direct your call?” I’m very formal on the phone.

I’ve got to run now… I’m gonna sneak into the freezer and steal a bite of the top of the wedding cake… don’t tell Portia.

I just wanted to thank you for being who you are. Being an openly gay male growing up in today's society. I jsut wanted to thank you for being a insperation to be and my partner Xander. Dear Ellen,

I really like your show. I try to watch your show from the internet because here in Bangkok, Thailand, they don't have it on UBC cable yet. They only have Oprah and I'm so bored with it. Your shows are hilarious and you're very natural.Sometime when I couldn't sleep, I would surf on the net and couldn't stop laughing at around 3am. My partner would complain a lot.

I also love your soulmate, Portia. She's so glamorous and attractive. However, can I give her an honest and constructive comment? I think she'll be perfect if she could improve on her interview skills. You know I think she puts up a wall because she can be easily nervous or too self conscious.

I mean at first Princess Diana also struggled with this and later she excelled after she hired a professional speech trainer.

I'm writing from India. I get to see your show everyday but not the current ones. Portia, you look absolutely amazing. If you are ever back on the market,look me up! -sorry ellen, just because you are married does not mean Portia is dead, and wow...i mean...seriously...Portia I would love to take you sailing with me to the Greek Isles, horseback riding through Mongolia and hiking to the top of the Great Pyramid. Congrats and Sincere Wishes to Ellen and Porchia!
There have been so many years in the past that this kind of celebration would stay in the "closet". I am so happy that those days seem to finally (and with so much emotional pain endured) without a doubt behind us. This marriage is now accepted and celebrated..even in limited States, but will spread... give it time...

Ellen and Portia
As I sit here and read the comments left by your many fans I can't help but tear up. Because you are such genuine people many of us feel a connection to you...we think back to the day that we said "I do" and relive the feelings that make you want to burst with happiness. I am a nurse and work in an area where I deal with the elderly. Every day I encounter couples that have been together for decades. They have come to a point in life where the commitment they made so long ago is at its most important, and so strong, it renews my faith in mankind. When two human beings want to commit to one another no one should prevent that, and I pray that soon every human will be as blessed and you and your new wife.

We've been together nearly 3 years. We are in love & enjoy each other & become more so with each passing day. We're getting married too.
