I DID !! I Did.. get a cookin Miss Ellen!!!.. UMmmm Mrs Ellen!!!.. doesn't sound right when you say Mrs.. not as catchy funny.. but it will have to work!!...

Dear Mrs Ellen Degeneres!!! (nice ring to it!)

I cooked up a real cool yummy dish this past weekend. It was cut up beef for stir fry. I added one red and one green pepper and a bundle of that green leafy onion thing.. its green stalk with a little white onion bulb on the end comes in a bundle of like 6 stalks.. real tasty and not too oniony.. for me.. maybe for you since you don't like onions. So I mixed that and added 3 shakes of McCormick beef seasoning a 2 second poor of Pepsi!!!... carmalized the .. cleaned off the brown off the pan from cooking the beef.. covered it.. then decided to add a dash of freshly ground pepper and a dash of salt.. not too much! and I covered it again.. then thought.. What else??? So I chopped 3 little garlic things from a clove of garlic.. what is that.. almost a quarter of a clove! LOL Stirred that in.. then I thought... a can of drained and rinsed black beans.!!! WOW!!! I ate the whole thing in 3 sittings in one day!!! It was soooo good!!! On my second serving I thought.. what would be even colorful.. would be if I added a can of drained and rinsed corn!!

No rice.. just the stir.. or is it just the fry!

Its good... you must try.. but without the onions maybe you can substitute water chestnuts instead or raisins!!!

p.s... seriously not a cook

I just cook to survive!!!
Rock On!

Hi Ellen,

This is the first time I have written to any shows and probably the last,[unless it is to you ]

I had my Grandkids last weekend and they asked me if I ever watch your show, they are 12 and 9 years old. I was amazed that they were interested and they watch you every day after school. I, of course praised them for you winning over cartoon's.

Other than to say I love your show and I never miss it I would like the recipes of the Scotto Family that was reran on Thursday March 6th. The one with the Ravioli etc.
Thank you for making my day I do nothing I don't have to until after your show.
Keep it up.
Happy belated Birthday and you look much younger than 50. I am 65 and look back at 50 lovingly even though I don't remember that far back.

Thanks. Nancy

Hey Ellen!

I've written a few times..."biggest Canadian fan" hands down. I was searching for the Scotto's recipes, along with everyone else it looks like but hey, found it easily under 'Show's Info' duh.....Anyways! I came across a viewer's letter. The name is 'M' wow, pretty ballsy putting your whole name down! Apparently the name is Mary, her letter written January 30 at 7:42 am. This letter got me so fired up I couldn't hold back.....

My concerns, Mary, are:

1. You have nothing but time on your hands.

2. The Hawaiian chair was strictly for our enjoyment and mocking how ridiculous it is....it has NOTHING TO DO WITH A PERSON WITH PARKINSON'S!! Are you for real!!?? DO YOU THINK FOR A MINUTE ELLEN WOULD EVER EVER EVER HAVE BAD INTENTIONS, WOULD MOCK PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES????

3. The Walker? Ya, that was ever so clear how her intention was to make fun of anyone who needs a walker.......!!!!!!! I would bet that viewers with walkers were laughing right along with everyone else!

Maybe when Ellen takes a break from raising money for the families in New Orleans who have lost their homes, or showing her support and dedication to the welfare of all animals, sharing tears with her guests when they emotionally strike a cord, give away free cars and anything else to people in need....I'm sure after she gets a minute she will write ya a letter!!
I had the fortune of sitting in her studio audience back in November, the strikers were just outside the studio chanting how Ellen was no friend of theirs...can you imagine the emotional war she was having? During breaks she looked exhausted and sad but would still smile and wave at audience members, SHE HAS A HEART OF GOLD, MAKES EVERY EFFORT TO LET A FLY OUT OF HER HOME INSTEAD OF SWATTING IT!

Look Ms. Negative, look at the positive part of life, Ellen Degeneres has made it her mission in life to be positive and put smiles on faces....she has and she is amazing.

Oh ya, did I mention that I have MS? A disability I'm sure you've heard of. I self-administer a daily injection, I eat smart and exercise as regular as can be....I LOVE life and have no room for people like you.

Now with all that vented, and a strong exhalation, along with Gladys, I too love Jesus, and now need to pour myself a drink.

Much love for Ellen,
#1 Canadian fan,
Laurel Peterson

Yeh, finally I found the receipe for basil mozerella grilled cheese sandwich. So whoever is interested in that receipe, here's -----

Mozzarella in Carrozza
Complete Recipes Listing

Makes 4 sandwiches

Ingredients:
8 slices crusty Italian bread, cut thick
1 1/2 pounds fresh mozzarella
1 cup chopped fresh basil leaves for the sandwiches
1 cup all purpose flour
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups whole milk
3 cups seasoned dried bread crumbs (store bought)
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Procedure:
1. Take a slice of bread and layer on it a slice of mozzarella, basil, and salt and pepper to taste. Top with another slice of bread and press together firmly to make a sandwich. Repeat with the rest of the bread and ingredients to make four sandwiches, and set aside.

2. Place the flour in a shallow bowl. In a second shallow bowl, combine the eggs and milk with salt and pepper to taste. In a third shallow bowl, blend the bread crumbs with salt and pepper to taste. Dip the sandwich first in the flour, then in the egg-milk mixture, and then in the bread crumbs.

3. In a 10-inch sauté pan, heat olive oil until medium hot. Place carrozza carefully in hot oil and turn with tongs, brown evenly all the way around on all sides. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Note:
It's important that the oil is not smoking. If the oil is too hot, carrozza and breadcrumbs will burn on the outside before mozzarella has a chance to melt between layers.

You rock! I love watching your show everyday when I get home from school. You are such an expiration to me. I love the way you dance at the beginning of
your show. My parents are doing foster care and one year we had a two day old baby that came into our house. We were fortunate this time 'cause we got to keep him for two years. One day while we were watching your show, it was time for you to dance, and the kid that was with us was dancing along with you. Also once while he was dancing to your song he must have known the words 'cause he was singing and dancing. Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to Ellen, Happy birthday to you. I wish a very happy and joyful 50th birthday. Can you please give me a recipe without alcohol that my parents would let me make. bye, love you.
