It was a magical day that we shared with just a few friends and family. We wanted to make sure no paparazzi got into the wedding... I had to check everywhere!

Congratulations, Ellen and Portia! I'm so happy this day has come for you and others...I was just watching a rerun with Hilary Clinton where you ask her about her stand on gay marriage...I think the U.S. has evolved to the point that most people can accept it. I think a lot has to do with YOU and how you handle sharing your views on being gay with the public. I am a heterosexual female, Republican, and recovering Catholic, but I recently attended a marriage between two women and felt totally comfortable with it! Ten years ago I might not have been so comfortable. But their joy was the same as any other couple's, and watching them say their vows was really special.
And to steal a comment from the Best Man, "It's about time you made an honest woman out of Portia!"

Congratulations Ellen, I watch your show all the time and I love when you do your dance. Maybe one day I will be able to visit your show in New York. I think you are hilarious and you keep me laughing all the time, again congratulations to you and Portia, may you have a long life with each other.

Your photos in People magazine were breathtaking. I especially love the one where you are embracing in the tent. Your love for one another just jumps off the pages. Good luck to you both! (I hope to see your show in person next year. You're on my vision board!!

Congrate Ellen on your marriage; wishing you both all the joy and happeniss you both deserved. I have always been a fan of yours but never watch your show because of work but in the past four months I've lost a brother which I Love with all my heart and still missing him and at the age of 54 I also was laid off on my job within days before his death. I was so scared about what my future was looking like that I got depress; but I started watching your show and I just want to say THANK YOU Ellen for the laughter and joy you bring to your show that radiant threw the screen; you had made my difficultly and hard days liveable. you made me laugh, cry and motivated to stop feeling sorry for myself but to start living again and that I have done. So now I Tivo your show everyday and is very excited about the new season. Keep doing what you are doing Ellen because your friends and fans really FEEL THE TRUE LOVE threw the screen.

You and Portia...wow, what an amazing day for both of you! My piece of wedding advice I always give is "Don't ever forget why you fell in love." Now that you are married, you or Portia will start throwing the dirty laundry on the floor, leaving snack wrappers around, it's okay...Welcome To The Married Club! Anywho, Many thanks Ellen, for giving me that hour each day to do nothing but laugh and smile...and forget about all the bull-own-ee (not only is that hooked on phonics but I betcha thought I was gonna say something else, huh?).. your show is my one guilt-free, totally entitled to indulgence, its my treat to myself..you know how some women go to the day spa to relax and reboot? not me...nope! Instead I turn the phone off, shut the door and close the blinds, sit back and turn on the tube...Everyone knows "Hell hath no fury like Melissa interupted during the Ellen show!!!"
hmmmm...I just thought of something....if I could only bank that money (per day) that a spa actually costs since I watch you instead...dang woman... I could be in Hawaii sitting on my ocean front hotel room balcony sipping umbrella drinks out of a coconut shell WHILE watching your show....Geesh.....thanks alot, Ellen...
