Hello Ellen! I would love to win a trip to Hawaii....who wouldn't! The reason I would love to win this trip is because I love to take my family on trips to see the world, experience culture, and learn to appreciate all that we are given. Usually our family tries to find "cheap" trips. We love to go camping in the Adirondacks (in tents). Once, we went to Florida and were fortunate enough to get to go snorkeling above the coral reef in Biscayne Bay (Miami).

Currently my husband and I have a 2 1/2 year old boy (oliver) and I am expecting in May.

I heard that Hawaii is a magical place. Please consider giving my family the oppoertunity to see this gem on our planet!
Thanks!
Carolyn
Lockport, NY

Good morning Ellen,
I was told that you are giving away a trip to Hawaii to a deserving person with a good story to tell. I don't know how good this story is, but it is true. I don't feel that I derserve this trip anymore than anyone else, but I sure would like to have it. My whole life has been one thing after another, but still I know there are people more worse off than me. I will begin a few yrs back, ( I am 55 now) I was married at the age of 17, by the time I was 22 we had 4 children. Three boys and finally a beautiful little girl named Jennifer. She died when she was 23 months old, but it was the most wonderful 23 months that a mother could have. She died in a house fire, and we lost her and everything. next, my husband and I moved to Florida, where he died at the age of 39. I was a widow at the age of 35 with my three sons to finish raising. I moved back to Ohio to finish raising our children so we could be close to family. I rented a home, and then my parents starting getting ill and asked me if I would come and live with them as to help take care of them. I did. My father had part of his leg amputated, and he was 80, with alot of pride, could not live with the amputation so he took a 38 and with 1 bullet he was dead. My mother and him had been married for 62 1/2 yrs. My mother started going down hill after that. Even though I had 2 sisters and 2 brothers, I was alone in taking care of my parents. I was at the hospital day and night with them both through their surgeries and illness's. I had a wonderful boss who would let me make them a priority when needed. I also have a son and his wife who helped me so much. After dad died, and my kids were older and married, I decided to move back to Florida and take my mother with me of course for a fresh start and to try and keep my mothers mind off of the sorrow that we had had in Ohio. Well all my children, their wives and grandchildren decided to move with us. This was good, as I had my sons, daughter-inlaws and my grandchildren with me. My middle son and his wife were still a real blessing to me. I could work and they worked different schedule so we would always have someone at home with mom. No nursing home for her. She was my best friend. After we moved to Fl., my older brother was diagnosed with cancer. Mom and I went to Ohio to see him in the hospital and do what we could. He died in Jan. Feb., Mom had a stroke and was hospitalized. I stayed at the hospital day and night as she asked me not to leave her, and in all honestly, I could not bring myself to leave her. Even though I was there, she left me. She died in early March. I was never so lonely in my life. It seemed as though everything I had loved in my lifetime had died and left. I did not date anyone for 14 1/2 yrs. since my husband had died, and was afraid to get close to anyone or let my feelings show as they would surely leave too. And then one day, I realized that I was alone and did not want to be. I have my 3 sons, but I always taught them to make their wives and children #1. I was not about to change that now. I prayed, and I said Lord, I have given all my life to people, and I am not a greedy person, but I am asking that now, that it be my time. No more sorrow, no more pain, and send me a man that will love my socks off. Send me a man that I can lean on, and love and take care of. ( I love to baby my husband) God answered my prayer, and sent me the most wonderful man alive. I think he threw him down to me straight from heaven. Joe is his name, and we were married 6 months later, as we felt as though we had known each other all of our lives from the moment we first met. We have been married for 6 yrs. We paid for our own wedding and reception, and requested that no one bring gifts, just share the day with us and help us celebrate. Joe and I bought a house, and we started renovating it, and then a hurricane came through and tore the roof off and of course the water damage was horrindous.
So we started all over again and repaired and replaced, tore up, tore out, and everynight we were so tired and our backs, hands, feet, brain hurt. Joe and I finally completed the renovation again. At the time Joe and I worked at the same place, and after all this was complete, we lost our jobs. Joe found a job in approx. 2 weeks. It took alot longer for me to find a job, and we got behind on our house payments. We tried everyway to work with the bank, but they would not. Our home was forclosed on. The bank rep came to the house and was so impressed with the house that we had not tore it up with knowing that we were being forclosed on, that they asked us if we wanted to rent it. This was an answer to our prayers Ellen. We had done so much to this house twice. We could not have tore it up. This was our home, Joes and mine. I am happier now than I have ever been in my entire life, but we really need a break. We can't afford a real vaction, so this would be wonderful. We never had a honeymoon, but the honeymoon goes on daily. You know Ellen, now that I have written this, my life hasn't been that bad, there are alot of people worse off, some don't have a home rented or not. Some people never have someone to love them like I do. Heck, some don't know where their next meal is coming from. Maybe I just needed to get this off my chest. God has always blessed me, and you know what? he still is.

Best regards,
Jan Perozzi & Joe

Ellen, I have tried for years to reach you , hopefully you get this. Im from New Orleans and met you yrs ago at a show at Frankie Brents in metairie with Shirley Hemphil. I was also a die-hard "Cold" fan and went to every performance i could , with ticket stubs from one or two I saved and salvaged amoung the mess of Katrina, where i lost everything like thousands of others. It would be wonderful to get an email from you or possibly win something. ( if that something were tickets to the show, i have a place to stay in W holly). Hi Ellen,I keep entering your give aways on line with no sucess of winning my sig. other told me yesterday to get on here and write you a sob story and see if that would work which I chose not to do all I have to say is I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A NEW T.V. the one in my bedroom snaps, crackles and pops when I turn it on and Im sure is a potenial fire hazard so I try not to fall asleep with it on but on occasion the sleepies take over and before I know it its morning. Unemployment rules our world right at the moment because of the weather so buying one is not in our future.I hope this doesnt sound to much like a sob story.I just love to lay in bed and watch t.v. thankyou very much

Hi Ellen,
From Snowy, Ohio!
I really enjoyed your show today...The Biggest
Loser winner, last season was an inspiration for me.
She hit home concerning indulgence...Except, my
indulgence is due to pain that I can not get rid
of, due to a work related accident, 13 years ago.
17 surgeries, and it's just no better...
The gentleman that married you and Portia, offered
some great insight concerning life, living and being happy. And Randy Jackson looks terrific and
elegant as ever...Concerning Simon, let's face it,
Simon is Simon and he will never change...A sheltered, lady would be his best mate. He could
teach her his way of life and she'd be happy with
him, because he would shower her with luxury...
and hopefully, the love she deserves...As far as you giving gift out are wonderful...I haven't won
anything since a bingo game in 1992...And I had to split the kitty with someone..Bless you for all the fine shows you have. Bless your family...
Your critters...(Baby E says Woof to your furry little fellow) Take care, your weight loss works for you...Sincerely, Donna

I know you hear it over and over again, but your show gives me such joy--it makes my day when most things can go wrong or will go wrong. Your sense of refreshing comedy makes anyone I've ever talked to and that watches your show laugh out loud and laugh even when life throws you a curve ball. You really crack me up--your humor is so real and I'm so glad that you moved your time, this way I can watch you everyday. Thanks for the giveaways, never have tried to win but would like to try. I went on your site but I'm a little confused as how to post my information as it's from your 12 days of giving from last month. Would like to try winning the flat screen TV if possible. Could use some assistance on how to do it.

LOVED THE MONOLOGUE.. THE CHRISTMAS REGIFTING.YES IT RECYCYLING , GO GREEN UGLY SWEATER. MUSIC, DANCING GET A SMILE ON THE FACES, MINE INCLUDED.

Hi Ellen
Happy New Year to you.
I am a teacher and today I
went to get a pedicure. Usually they have your show on tv but because the kids are out of school for Christmas break they had on Sponge Bob. So after having only foot done and seeing they were not going to put your show on I came home. I can only watch your show when I have days off which is very sad since your show is the best part of vacations. Anyway loved your show today. Those kids were cute. Did the little girl ever get her cake cut? I am off to the pedicure salon to get my other foot done. I hate when I miss your show.
Thanks for keeping us entertained
Donna
