We Are Experiencing Technical Difficulties...

Occasionally, something on our show goes slightly wrong. Usually, we edit it out and you at home never know it happened. But sometimes it's kind of funny and we think you might want to see it. Watch what happens when Drew Carey's mic falls off during his interview.

Okay, I think about writing here every day, but then say to myself; "what can you say that hasn't been said before, and probably better?" Then I answer, "nothing." Then people start to look at me funny. But today I decided I wanted to say something. Ellen, I absolutely love your show. I tape it every day;fortunately the one channel I get carries your show at 10am. I am usually at work, so, VCR do your job. Yes, I am living in the stone age, I have dial-up internet, one channel on my TV, and a VCR. I got my digital converter box last week and hooked it up. Unfortunately, I can't record your show so I disconnected it. I do not have any idea what I am going to do next February when the analog signal ceases to exist, but in the meantime I will continue to enjoy your show every day. Well, maybe not every day but every show. Love you, Ellen; more than I could possible put into words. And I do hope peace and joy are always upon you.

Ellen, I've been reading some of the postings you get and I know there's no way you could sit and read them all. But I hope you read mine. I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005. I went through all the heart breaking decisions of what to do, (take the treatment, not take the treatment) because I had already been through seeing my sister go through it with the treatment, it was aweful. Then my mom got it the year before I did and decided not to take the treatment. So I knew how each one could effect you. I took care of both of them till they died. I decided to take the treatment because I had a dream. My mom came to me and put her hand on my chest and said "your going to die for a little while but then you'll be ok". It was one of the most peaceful experiences I've ever had. So I took the treatments. No easy task at all. I had 6 months of chemo and 4 months of radiation. I wasn't sure I made the right choice it made me so sick. All I could do is lay in bed. My only light during the day was your show. You made me feel like it was gone for that 1 hour a day. I laughed and cried and just forgot about me. I don't think you really have the total understanding of what you do for people. If I hadn't had you each day I'm not sure how I would have made it through the day. There's not enough words to explain what you did for me. Until you have to go through it your self you really don't know how it feels and there isn't no way to explain it. My husband keeps saying if I wasn't on the pain meds I woudn't have made it, but I think it was you that got me through the day. I can't say that enough. There's more to it than just going and letting them put this poison in you, there's getting blood transfusions, loosing your hair, and just feeling like crap every single day. There were so many days I wish I could have won 1 of your gifts on your show, but I couldn't even go register. So if you have any left laying around I'd be glad to take anything you have extra. We don't even have a car to get me to my Dr. for tests. We have to just ask around to borrow someones. These last 3 years has been hell on all of us. My family trying to make me feel better. Which is really hard to do. I try so hard to keep a good outlook and not get down, but sometimes it gets really hard. Well, I guess I've taken up enough of your time..I sure would like to hear from you sometime. That would be like whipped topping on cherry pie for me. But I know your busy so I won't hold it against you if you can't get back to me. I'm just glad your there every day at 10am for me to close out the rest of the world. Thank you so much for being who you are and caring for the world the way you do.

Ellen
By far the best entertainment I've had since I was a child. Every show is a joy. Keep them comming. THANKS

Hey Ellen,i just wanted to say i love all your shows. You are the best of craic and keep me laughing every day as i do my treadmill, almost dangerously so as a lot of time i laugh so much i almost fall off.Not to worry though its worth it.Keep up the good work.

Ellen, your show today touched me. Kelsey, is I think her name, and she had a wish to meet you. Not only did you make that wish come true, but let her into your heart and expressed affection and love to her. Then you took her wish further.
May I just tell you that these genuine gifts of the heart touch my heart and bring happiness and joy into my life.
I have a brother who was in a car accident 30 years ago that left him as a full-care spastic quad. He has short-term memory loss, and no ability to take care of himself. Yet, he has given me the opportunity to grow and learn and love more than I ever would have had he not been through this experience. Because of him I have more tenderness. When I saw you today give to Kelsey, I thought of him and the joy he has given to me. So thanks for opening my heart today and bringing joy into the world. My God bless you and watch over you for your kindnesses.

Drew was talking about the author/speaker WAYNE DYER. He's been on Ellen's show. I think the book he listened to in the car was "There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem."

. . . saw only a bit of the show today . . but caught Drew talking about his depression as a teen. He spoke 'my words' as he talked about getting pushed in the halls. He talked briefly about a book, I would really like to know the title and author of this book, if at all possible. thanx

I am merely one of the millions who love Ellen and wish I could see her show every day, but without TiVo, sometimes I miss her since I am paying bills before they cut me off and the office closes, etc.
I loved it when we used to have the East Coast Networks and you woke me up dancing every morning at 7am! Now its on NBC at 4pm...But I love you so, El!
