I like Simon for his honesty. Some of his comments though should be concrete so the contestant will know exactly how they can improve. I like Paula -- she is the encourager in the group. I do not like Randy -- he sometimes strikes me as being racist, yup, R-A-C-I-S-T.

I have always wanted to visit California but never have been motivated enough to actually go; If you were to pick me then I would Have to go!!! ha,Ha. If you were to pick me, I would bring my Mom. She is always there for me and has helped me out tremendously in the past few years (first I got married, and then 9 months later, I had a baby, we got right to business) This would be the ultimate "Thank You" for her. I tried like Heck to get tickets to the show you had taped in Chicago but was unsuccessful. Any chance you will be coming back? Hope to see you in a few months!!!

yes, simon's comment can sometimes be hurtful and cruel but maybe he just wants to tell the contestant that he should improve more and give his/her all on her singing. contestants should give more effort in what they're doing and just because they get some good points from judges,they'd think they're already ok.
but when simon apologized to david cook, that was really amazing! and he also gives some good comments too.

Simon may seem to come off harsh and critical, but if a singer really wants to make it in the professional world, they should listen to his opinions. He has been in the business a long time and knows true talent. People groan at his negative feedback, but I don't hear much about the positive feedback he awards to the truely gifted.

As a writer, I listen closely to critiques of my work from fellow writers and editors. In the learning curve, I value their opinions. One day I will be a published author because of my willingness to listen to their advise. I would not appreciate their critiques to be sugar coated.

Singers should appreciate the fact that Simon is willing to be honest with them. With his advise, they could learn and grow as a musician.

If u said " That depends on my mood" on what u say to those contestants than u have mood swings, 'cause sometimes youre mean, and other times youre cruel.

I think simon is hurtful, but i also get tired of Paula saying someones performance is good, and its not. So, i guess its 50/50 with me he can be mean, but hes brutally funny
