Keeping Up with Ellen's Friends

Ellen's favorite guests are so busy living their fascinating and remarkable lives, they don't have time to stop by the show to catch us up on what they're doing now. This page will be dedicated to letting you know what these amazing people have been up to!

In October of last year, Ellen interviewed the amazing director of the Ballou High School Marching Band, Darrell Watson. Thanks to Darrell's inspiration, students of this inner city school in Southeast Washington, DC have been given opportunities they might otherwise not have received. It's a rare story of triumph over adversity.

So many exciting things have happened for the Ballou Marching Band since they were last on our show. We wanted to take a moment to catch you up on all of their amazing adventures! Click here to find out!

Hi Ellen, I am so glad you decided to go vegan! I have been waiting for you to do it because you always talk about being an animal lover.I have been a vegetarian for almost 9 years and went vegan 2 years ago. It is definitely the most important way to change the world and change your life! Please be as vocal as possible about this issue because it is so ignored and you have the power to reach a lot of people who adore you. Please contact me if you ever want me to come on the show and talk about veganism, especially since I have a small fledgling group at my college and we could really use some help reaching people. I have a lot of experience with this lifesyle and have lived this way most of my life. I can help you with any questions you may have or challenges you may be facing and I know that together we can make a difference!

YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION AND I WOULD LOVE YOUR INPUT FOR MY SENIOR PROJECT!

Ellen,
On Tuesday's show, Sept. 16th you wore (briefly)a pair of good looking glasses. What brand are they? I am sure they won't look as good on me as they did on you, but I loved them.
You know I just have to say that I respect your postion on the presidential race and appreciate the comments and support for change in our leadership. You have a great show, I look forward to watching you daily and I realize that your show is entertainment not a political platform for social issues. I just find myself not wanting to laugh these days but SCREAM!!! I have never been so scared in all of my life.
So through humor, or sales of your T-shirt, Thank you for speaking for me and all other Americans and people in the world whose lives are so impacted by our leaders. Since my screams are lost to the wind off my back porch.
