"House" Is in the House!

The fantastically talented Hugh Laurie paid a house call to Ellen, and they played an exciting game of American slang versus English slang -- and the game was bloody brilliant!

I am also glad to have seen Hugh Laurie on the show. House is my favorite show and I even watch the DVD's of past years that I had missed. I think he does such a great job with an American accent it's amazing,but I absolutely love his British accent.I wish they had shown his son in the audience, hope he looks like his dad.I usually fast forward on a lot of stars ,but I watched all of his interview. Thanks Ellen I was hoping someone would have him on and you did...

I'VE WATCHED EVERY "HOUSE" EPISODE..IT'S SO AMAZING HOW HE ACTS SO WELL WITH THAT "LIMP" AND HOW HE MASTERS ENGLISH, THEN YOU SEE HIM ON ANOTHER SHOW WALKING STRAIGHT AND WITH A BRITISH ACCENT..IT AMAZES ME EVERY TIME..

Never heard of those American slangs.

Chin Wag is what my mom would say whenever she goes on the phone. She was having a chin wag with her friends.

Ditto Katharine up there, and please post the rest of his interview. Wowza, got all the Brit slang but none of the American ones. Loved the game, and yes do invite him back more often.

Hugh is hilarious! Please post the rest of his interview! I only realized he was on while flipping channels, so I only saw the slang bit. Thanks for having him on though, it was great!

I LOVE HUGH LAUIRE!!!!! and now I'm OBSESSED with [H]OUSEmd it's the best show ever and hugh is the best actor ever! he's funny and taltented and just the gratest man on the palnet! I'm sooooo glad 2 of my favorite shows have kinda come together....house and ellen!

Hugh Laurie always make such a great guest on the show...If only he could be on every week! I'm American & I didn't get one of the American street slang phrases correct...but I knew all of the British slang phrases...I may actually need a slang dictionary to understand my own people, someday!
