My daughters and I did this and loved it! Does it only work if you do the 2nd card from the left or can it be any card that is first chosen? Also at the end you got rid of 6 cards, does it always have to be that many? Just curious to all the numbers so my children can show it to friends and famiy and feel really cool!

what the feburary? lol, i loved this card trick! im sorry to say i dont watch your show as often as i could. but i always do when my mom watches you! :D anyway, i still havent figured out you trick, but i loved it! my brother and i have been doing to everyone whose home right now. :)

Ellen,
This trick was great and my son loves magic tricks and was trying to figure out why it did not work for him any time he tried it. Well Ellen, he figured it out. He is left handed and therefore spreads with his right hand. So it is backwards and will probably not work for any lefthander unless they spread the cards with their left hand.
We still love you and watch your show everyday.

Ellen! WOW THAT WAS A SUPER TRICK.. AND IT WORKED, UNTIL I TRIED IT ON MY SON AND HIS FRIEND...TEENAGERS..SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL..OF COURSE THEY MESSED IT UP..I HAVE YOUR SHOW TAPED, (dvr)EVERYDAY, AND THEY STILL MESSED IT UP.

What a great card trick...I'll never remember it to show anyone else, but it worked for me! I watched the Oscars (fell asleep around 10 but taped it)...you were much better and worth staying up for...Jon Stewart just didn't cut it..the show wasn't that great either...My sister told me that a friend of theirs was up for an Oscar for costume design for Across the Universe...well, usually one of the best supporting oscars is first...but this time it was costume design...sadly, her friend didn't win so it probably was a really long night for him. Love your show. Watch it every day. You touch my heart with your caring and giving... it's no wonder people love being around you. You truly are a national treasure!

the trick was great.thanks for giving the step by step instuctions.i just hope i can remember it when i need it. like a joke, i get to the end and i'll make a fool of myself I CAN'T GET THE PUNCH LINE RIGHT. anyway there is no greater gift that could be better than you ELLEN.you make me smile ,laugh and i can't wait to see your next show !!! you are truly a treaure, thanks.

ellen, congrats on raising the i mil for your chairity..u r just awesome and i love u because u just don't quit girl! the magic trick was cool and i use to dabble in the small stuff and it was fun...the girls on the road trip i love them and thank u for making my day "everyday".

Great Trick....those things always amaze me. I miss about half hour every day because I have to pick up my husband, but try to get back before the show gets over. Sorry, I know.

Ellen that was a great trick. I can't wait to show it to my husband he's the big card tricker in the family. On our 1st date he was so stuck on himself that he was such a great card tirckster. He started his trick, I caught him red handed, "what's that card in your hand", I asked him. He couldn't believe I nabbed his trick.. Thanks again...... Rita born in the Bronx
