Halo for Some Burly Angels

On Monday, Ellen welcomed several members of Long Island’s “Rescue Ink.” These scary-looking angels spend all their free time rescuing animals in trouble and helping animal lovers in need. To help out, Ellen gave them $10,000 in Halo products and another $5,000 for additional rescue equipment. To find out more about Rescue Ink, or to donate to their cause, go to http://www.rescueink.org.

Thanks Ellen for having Rescue Ink on your show. I would love to work with an organization that rescues abused or neglected animals. What a wonderful way to fullfill your purpose in life. I know it would be hard work, long hours, and horrible situations to experience. Not only doing what you love but making a contribution to animal welfare and the evolution of the animal kingdom. The world would be a better place if each human being recognized the gift of each animal's life. Seeing and hearing people like Rescie Ink on your show gives me hope of fullfilling my dream too.

I met Rescue Ink on myspace and they added me to their friends list. I admire these men beyond belief for all the hard and generous work they do to save our beloved animals. Im so dissappointed I could'nt see the show. I dont get local channels on my satellite and wonder do you have a tape for sale???? Keep bringing them on Ellen, they work wonders and are awesome, kind hearted men. Thank you for your generous donation to help them out, as an animal lover I appreiciate it very much

These men are amazing they are truly needed.Everyday we hear about the abuse of animals . It would be great to start chapters in each county of every state in this country ! I believe people would step up. I know I would . Animal lover ,and I have some tattoos! Thank you Ellen for bringing this organization to light. Speaking of light you are mine. I love starting my day off watching your show . You really brighten so many peoples lives
Thank you
With love ,and respect

Indigo the cat,Sabre Dancer the dog ,and Patrick the horse

These guys are great. Definitely have them back. Anyway they can franchise (for lack of a better word) and create similar rescue groups around the country?

I have been so excited since finding out about Rescue Ink several months ago - they are the new face of animal advocacy and a positive force for animals. Many organizations do a lot of talking and very little helping - NOT Rescue Ink!! I am hoping to contact them and ask them to come to help in a local fundraising event for a no-kill shelter where I live. Those who abuse animals had better wake up to the real world, cuz Rescue Ink is the new reality for animal welfare!!!

These guys rock! Thanks to the Ellen show for having on such an incredibly inspirational group to get their message and info out and into the mainstream. I live in NYC and never heard of them until I saw them on your show. Needless to say, all the birthday gifts that go to my friends... are now going as donations to Rescue Ink. I'm psyched to know there's an intimidating group of guys to get out there and kick some can for animals.

I was so moved and inspired by these guys with RescueInk, and their obvious passion for their work that I keep saying over and over in my head: "If I were a man, built like a rock crusher with tattoos I know EXACTLY what to do, I'd do what these guys do!!"
But I'm not so am just blessing them onward and for their cause.
My son loves to watch Animal Cops on cable, but he doesn't relate to the officers as role models, these guys he could relate to, they are so real.
Somedays I think not abusing our fellow partners on this planet, human or animal, is just common sense and pray everyone gets zapped with some, now I can pray that ResueInk does some zapping of their own :-)

I wish every state had a group like this. They are some of the most amazing guys.

Love Love Love these guys!! Ellen great job on finding them! I had never heard of them until today, and now they are my fav!! they are my friends on myspace, and i am keeping my eyes open for any harmed animals. I rescued my chihuaha from its bad owners when he was only 5 months. He is living in my lap of luxury and he owns me!

Give them more publicity!! People need to know about these guys! Love them, and love you Ellen!

Huge thanks to Ellen for bringing "Rescue Ink" to the show. There are lots of kind hearted people who are trying their best to help animals in need that are homeless because of the volume of unwanted animals born each day. It simply has to be impressed on the world that spaying and neutering your pets is the answer to this horrible problem! Thanks to Ellen and Rescue Ink, people are aware of the problems and hopefully this may become a feature on the Ellen Show!

I have a dog that was a rescue dog. The woman that had these dogs lived in Worth, IL and had over 140 pedigree small dogs in a home that only housed the dogs in bird cages on top of each other. Some of them didn't even know how to walk on cement or grass. The only way the neighbors knew that there were dogs in there was the air conditioning went out and the smell was horrible. The outcry for these dogs were overwelming and I was lucky to get a 2yr old bichon and she is my best friend. Any person that abuses an animal should be put in a cage and throw the keys away. Dogs and cats only want to be our friends and are more reliable than some friends.
Thanks you "Rescue Ink" for being abused dogs guardian angels.

Looks like I'm the only male to respond to this so far. I love animals ( I have 3 dogs, one is a rescue). These guys are doing one heck of a job and should be commended for their actions. Ellen is doing a great job spreading the word about spay and neutering. God bless all animal lovers. We need more of these people

These guys are amazing! I love animals and I am also an activist:) any animal abuse is disgusting. Maybe you should touch base on factory farms. Theres a lot to be said about that.

I have to say thank you, and keep up the GREAT work!!!! Animal abuse is a big issue in this country and other countries. I have recently viewed an article on an artist who took a stray dog off the streets and tethered it to a wall till death. No one who saw the "art" bothered to give the animal water or food, so the end result was the animal died . To top it all off, the "artist" wrote the title on the wall with dog food. Inhumane doesnt even come close to describing the action of this man.

THANK YOU AGAIN, Keep fighting!!

ellen you just restored my faith..these guys are amazing..thank you

When You Love someone set it free!" Animals of the Wild"

Thank you so much for what you do. Y'all are the sweetest and most caring people.

With the world the way it is today, you don't see a lot of caring acts anymore. I watching Ellen and started to cry when y'all came on the show.

Y'all ROCK!!!!!

uncle...UNCLE!!!!!!!! LOL

That is sooo COOL!!! I like the guys all ready and I havn't even heard the story!!!! I can't wait to hear.

You love animals... that's enough for me!!!!

SPCA cops would probably like you 'cause you'd scare people when you came to rescue an abused animal. maybe that's what u do I don't know??? I'll find out soon when you air on Ellen!!!!

When I get a dog... I'm gonna feed it Halo for sure!!!... looks good and healthy! Why wouldn't we want our animals to feel good and have lots of energy and good health! :)

i love what you guys are doing please please keep up the great work.wish i could help.

I fully support what these gentlemen are doing. In my own home town a lady stole 64,000 from the humane society, and we almost lost these amimals. I can't even watch Animal Cops, I cry at the site of a animal in pain. You go guys.
