Answer: Janet Jackson.

Janet Damita Jo Jackson was born May 16, 1966 in Gary, Indiana.

With her 1986 song "When I Think of You," Janet and her brother, Michael, became the first siblings in the rock era to have #1 songs as soloists.

Janet’s nickname, "Dunk," was coined to describe her sturdy body, which her brother Michael claimed resembled a donkey.

Janet’s 5 back-to-back #1 studio albums are "Control,” "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation," "Janet," "The Velvet Rope" and "All for You." Together they sold more than 60 million copies worldwide.

I just want to know why you hateing on Canadians??? My sister and I love your show and watch it everyday, it plays at the noon hour and she's unemployed and I'm on mat leave, so we don't miss it..anyways we tried to play your 12 days of giveaways and we can't because Canadaians aren't eligable!!! hi I am writing again I know I told u about my breast cancer but there is also things I wish I can write that is not posted there are things i would like to say that would be sad for my famly to hear but like to give it off my cheast one thing is real sad and its been a hard road to deal with and I know I need to get help coping with it. not saying my famliy reads the poast on here but they could thanks . so if i can get some eamil back whare i can write would be great.

OMG!!! Janet Jackson, I LOVE HER!!!! Their is Janet, then you ELLEN :). But I have been to only 1 of her concerts and would do ANYTHING to go to another one. Just name it and I will do it, anything to get my hands on some tickets for me and my daughters. Your show is the BOMB!!! Love it and try to watch it everyday, but you know I got to do that thing they call, WORK!!!. So I get the highligts on the internet. You are AWESOME!!

I'm a huge fan. I think you are so funny, silly funny, which I really like. By the way, I love your dance because you not only look so free and comfortable but also you are having so much fun with you audience.

Listen Ellen, over the years, so many guests have appeared on your show both celebrity and just ordinary people which is alway fun. Have you ever thought of having George Lucas on your show. I don't think he has ever appeared on your show. It would be fantastic to invite him, don't you think? He is extremely intelligent, interesting and looks like a fun person to meet. I am a huge fan of George Lucas.
If you manage to have him come on your show, I would like you to reserve me a ticket, no RSVP required.

Ellen...I know you hear this all the time.. but your show is the highlight of my day..life is too short not to DANCE... I have been a Janet fans since her first album (now I am showing my age..LOL).. I would love to win tickets to her show so can't wait to find out how...UNLESS you have some connections and can hook me up..LOL.
On another note.. I am also a HUGE Rick Springfield fan..have you considered inviting him on your show?? He is such a great entertainer and like you.. he involves his audience and adores his fans. Just a thought...

Hey Ellen How are you²²² Love your show. My 13 year old daughter love you and your show so much.She love to dance, but her favorite thing to do is writting; she write songs mostly, however she is writting a movie right now.Her dream is to see her work on TV. Ellen she write so much it scares me; she`s a 13 year old trap in a 43 year old body.she even have people in mind to sing her song,movie director she would love to work with.

Hey Ellen...

You and Janet Jackson have been my top two people ever! I have written letters to ask to be your apprentice, Ellen, and have learned dances of Janet Jackson to audition with to be one of her dancers; which is an all time aspiration of mine. I heard on your show today that I could enter to win Tickets... I was wandering how that would be possible. I am feeling so blessed to have this opportunity to post my thoughts! I can't say thank you enough, and to say that I love you and Janet would be an understatement. I respect and admire your perseverance. And when the world beats me down, I automatically pop in Doesn't really matter or Come on Get up(among others) and dance until my heart is content. Hi Ellen,

I have loved you from the first time I saw you on TV. You have helped and inspired so many people. I am proud of you and your growth.

This is actually the first time I have ever written to a TV show about anything. What inspired me was seeing Janet Jackson and finding out she has a new tour and that you are giving away tickets. Please let me know how to do so. I will do almost anything for the tickets.

I grew up listening to all the Jacksons and wished all my life for a chance to meet them. Michael and Janet have been my idols since very small. It's sad what the press and greedy people have done to Michael but my heart and support is always with him and his family.

Anyway, I can write a book here but I won't. Thank you for any help you can provide.
