Today in Ellen History

On this day in 1965, in spite of tripping on her jump rope, Ellen continues to jump rope and play hopscotch on her front steps.

On this day in 1972, after whacking her thumb in shop class, Ellen continues to finish making her bird house.

On this day in 2007, despite severely injuring her back, Ellen continues to host the show from a hospital bed!

Ellen, my boys (who are in 7th & 8th grade) and I love watching your show together. We love your silly antics and funny blindfold games!

You are really an inspiration to many people.
I am a 42 yr old grandma who raises my 3 yr
old grandson. We watch your show most mornings
and we both enjoy dancing along with you.
You put a smile on my face every show I watch.

Hi Ellen, I remember the show when you hurt your back. I was recovering from back surgery. This was when I got hooked on your show. I felt your pain. I am back to work but leave early to watch every chance I get and check your website everyday. Love Ya Ellen and really really want to meet you!

Hi Ellen,
My name is Rina I "LOVE" your show. I watch your show on my days off (Mon&Tues.), and on the computer when I get home from work usually after 6 p.m. I find myself crying when you show up with your gold digger machine to unsuspecting viewers or that car you gave a women in Las Vegas, NV the other day. You have the biggest heart!! I make it a point not to leave my home for any reason when your show is on. If i happen to be out i have an anxiety attack if i'm 1 minute late to catch your jokes or you DANCE !!!

Just to let you know that I love watching your show. Now I've gotten my husband hooked as well. He used to tell me to turn that s*** off and get a life but now he is just laughing along with me at all of the fun and nice things that you do for people. Keep on keeping on!

Love your show. I started watching it in late 2006 when my sister told me she watched your show and how funny it was. As soon as I got tivo I started recording it every day. Everyone in my house loves watching. I also love watching celebrity apprentice and I think you should go on that show. I think you would do great. Keep up the good work and we will keep watching.

Being an animal lover myself, its great to see the enthusiasm you have and involvement with differnt charities. You are the most amazing person. I seriously get jelouse of everyone who gets the chance to meet you in person and pray that one day ill get lucky enough to be able to dance it up with you instead of by myslef in my livingroom. I cant even pick one episode that is the best cause they all are. I hope to be able to watch you for years to come. Stay the person you are and dont ever change. Well, i'm only 14 and i think you have made me rofl (roll on floor laughing ~ rah-full) more then anything else on this great planet.

I was wondering if you could just plain tell me how to spell what i would call "reesa". The person you said you were when you lied to those poor women and put cheese on their face. kaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, that made me lmbo (laugh my butt off).

so yeah , hope you like.. make a video , or write on this wall so i can learn how to spell "reesa" for my essay.
