Hi Ellen how are you,
First of all I love you so much your so funny, and sorry for the past months I was so busy picking up my son from school and his cousin that I had to miss your show. Now they are out of school so I have time to watch you.Well the reason Im writing to you is for the car you ar giving away.I think you should choose me .Reason being I drive a 1986 toyota corolla "that I hope dosent brake down on the road".WIch is in really bad condition. Its makes a really loud noise when i drive over 40 mph, so I cant listen to the radio on the freway,It has no AC so the only thing I can doo is roll the windows down,And in the summer it get really hot out so I worry about over heating in my car. Oh yeah usualy after every drive it somokes up,and it lets out a really bad smell. I have two kids A four year old and one year old, I think having my car brake down on the middle of the road, or it catching on fire with them and I in the car, would be realy dangerous. Also I use it to give people rides.Neither my mom or mother in law drive. So usualy Im whom they rely on for it. Sometimes we want to go out with the whole family, and we have to take two cars. Or simple things like going to cosco become hard becuse not much stuff fit in my car.And gas is so expensive I dont like using my car unless I have too. so I tend not to go out with friends to avoid using my car because of gas prises. I think I would be a great candidate for this ...Thank you.

Good point Anon. People should be responsible enough to stop popping out the babies like it's the 1800's, especially if they can't afford them.

Anon,

That was not very nice. We were raised in a large hard working family. We had two families merged together and an adopted brother. My parents never asked for a thing, but I hope my Mom wins the car!

We adore you Ellen!
It's nice that you're giving away a car to some lucky person, but it seems like several people who posted on this site need a reliable form of birth control more than a new car!

Dearest Ellen:

I just filled out the nomination for my mother. I broke the rules...more than 50 words. I will be overseas when you give this car away but I want you to know how much this would mean to my family. She tapes your show for me and my company and I will have alot of catching up when I get home. She Tivo's for the little kids at home. Mom's great and so giving of herself, she's my hero. I love your show and can't wait to see what you do when I get back.

Hello Ellen.
It would be GREAT to hear less, "I want to get a hybrid", and more "I love you, honey." :) I don't think I could take it anymore and I really wish he'd go get a hybrid already, but like many other men, he's a talker and not a doer. That's my man!!! Thanks for listening. LOL Jacinda

Hi Ellen:

I would really love to have the Yukon Hybrid. I don't have a sad story to tell you. My husband and I have 2 kids and full time jobs and take our kids everywhere they need to go for the extra curricular activities. So of course a Yukon would be great. Forget the fact that the dog could fit too and their friends. My husband and I both work full time so that we can afford to give our children a good education when they are older. We are not extravagant people but use our money wisely. What would a new Yukon mean to us? One less payment a month on a vehicle but one additional payment per month on their education fund! Besides when my husband ends up in the dog house he could actually use the Yukon.

Sure would like a hybrid. Both my husband and I are retired. Need to spend less on gas.

Hello Ellen,

I am 21yrs old, mother of three and I have had my ups and downs. I have been doing really bad for the past year but have decided the only way to pick myself up is to go back to school. When I do go back in August I will be traveling to school, daycare, and work five days a week. Driving a Hybird will not only save money but be a fortunate blessing closer to my future.

God Bless,
Erica

Hi Ellen,

My mom Karen Johnston doesn't have a job right now and has to drive me my sister and my step brother to school every morning and my step dad has to take the other car to work every morning, and just our luck one of our cars just ran out of registration. So if we could get the yukon hybrid we would not only be doing the environment good but ourselves.
Sincerely,
Sophia Sioris

Ellen, I'm 49 yrs old and approaching that 1/2 century mark. I don't feel like an almost 50 yr old. I'm told all too often that I should act more my age. Well, I like me and don't want to be an old fogey at this point in my life. Besides my 11 yr old keeps me young. So, I don't need it, but would love to have it as a sign of "growing up" just a little anyway.

Ellen,
You do not know how much I enjoy watching your show everyday. It brings so much sunshine to my day.
I really need a car to get to the doctor or grocery shop. I live on diasbility and cannot afford to buy a car. I am so tired of depending on my neighbors or family to take me places I have to go. A car would be such a blessing to me.
Thank you for listening to my comments and keep up the good work on your show.
I love you Ellen and may God Bless and Keep You.
Love Ya,
Lois McCaulley

2 weeks ago Monday, an Elk ran in front of my Truck. The Elk and my Truck sadly didn't make it. I borrowed a Van to get my stuff out of my Truck that was at the Insurance tow yard. While I was getting my things, someone hit the Van that I had borrowed and left. The passenger side door of the Van now doen't open.
On the up side, my dogs and I made it just fine and compaired to the last few years of rotten luck, I guess this is nothing.
To add to the string of bad luck, I got questions #4 and #8 wrong by rushing and not making sure my answers were in the right circles.....Guess I blew this one but wanted to say, GOOD LUCK ALL, keep safe and recheck your answers BEFORE you hit submit!!

I'm entering for my son who is 22 years old. His birthday is May 8th 1985. ( He was due on Mother's day back then but I missd it by 4 days). He's a private in the Army National Guard. He got out of basic training last fall. He bought a nice used car for 8500.00 with his bonus money, and has been working to save money and get a place of his own. He recently had a car accident and totaled his vehicle last month. The insurance company only gave him 2800.00 for a car that he only had owned for 6 months. unfortunatley he was speeding when he totaled the car, so he had to spend time in jail for what they called "driving to endanger" even though he was the only person in the car. He also had a hughe fine to pay which took virtually all of his money, so now he has no vehicle. He needs a fresh start so that he can make his monthly trips to his National Guard unit base which is a 90 minute drive from our home. Bad luck has consumed him, and this would be a blessing. We love your show, and never miss you. You are programmed to be taped every day. We watch you faithfully and think that you are a blessing to so many people. Someone is sure to receive a piece of your heart with your gift. Thanks so much for all you do Ellen
