On Thursday, Ellen talked to Patrick Dempsey about how he’s always People Magazine’s 2nd sexiest man alive. Ellen promised Patrick that she was going to start a national movement to get Patrick into the #1 spot.

Patrick Dempsey just seems to get hotter and hotter as years go by... and it doesn't hurt that he genuinely seems like a really great and nice guy... I think he deserves the #1 spot at least once.
Lots of men seem to get better and better looking with age... Keifer, Keanu, John Cusack... so not fair!!! (But I don't mind the eye candy!)

Dear Ellen,
First I have to reply that your show is one of my favorite things to record each day monday through friday! I love how you are very independent, humorous, and intellidant. Now I usually agree with almost all of your episodes, but Ellen.....I have to DISAGREE with you stating Patrick Dempsey is absolutely the 'sexiest man alive'!!! In my opinion....I DON'T THINK SO!!!....but
I have to admit that there are a few actors that kind of 'stand-out' with their appearance!!! The top 3 for me are -Mike Tomlin (Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach), -Johnny Depp ('Pirates of the Carribean' actor), and -David Beckham (Soccer Player in England).
Any ways, I'm gonna leave right now, but I'm very sure I will be sending you another message in the near future!!

Yes, Yes, Yes Patrick should be voted the sexist man. As already stated by many ladies he has all the qualities, he is totally in love with his wife (sigh), she is great to share him with us, he enjoys family life, has a great smile and a wonderful laugh, let us not forget his sparkling blue eyes.
How many time can we vote and should we not be bombarding People with our votes?????

No Question.....Patrick is Mr. Yummy! (apologies to his wife, although she'd probably agree). Don't know why he hasn't been #1. You can still make it up to us People Magazine '08! Just look at those eyes, abs, hair, body..........(fainted).

And, 2nd, NO PUN intended, Patrick Dempsey should DEFINITELY be selected as People's Sexiest Man of the Year!!!! He is the TOTAL PACKAGE. That he is extremely handsome, goes without saying. But,he has ALL the other qualities that we women want in our men...a gentle demeanor, a respect for women,
a passion for life, sincerity, decency, commitment to giving back to humanity. He doesn't have to win this title from a magazine; for, in MY eyes, he has ALWAYS been #1.
I voted for him here on your site today. Thank you for doing this. Is there something else I should be doing to make sure my voice is heard?? Just tell me and I'll do it. I'm already spreading the word to friends and family to come here and vote.

he's cute for a guy. :) all men should aspire to have such ... well... bond is hot too!!!... Ashton, Justin Timberlake,... and of course Brad Pitt... and John Travolta, and Tom Cruise, and Tom Sellec(sp?). I like blue and eyes and black hair/dark hair on guys.. to me.. that's a good looking guy.. now some of these may not have blue eyes.. but they azude this sexiness aura about them.. presence. I wouldn't go for them.. but I do admire beauty in all things!
I do agree that it is time for 1st place this year for Patrick! I'm sure his wife doesn't need a trophy or world acknowledgement of this apparent truth but it would definately feel good and its time!

I've always thought Patrick was cute, even in his earlier films. His "cute" just rolled into extremely handsome. Lots of men seem to be blessed that way!!
I was watching an old Adam West episode of Batman, from the sixties. The episode with the Troubadour (Van Willians?).
Anyway, a young Phylis Diller had a cameo in it, in a hallway as a cleaning woman.
When she turned around, I could have sworn it was Ellen. Separated at birth? The resemblance was incredible.
I know Phylis has had mucho surgery since then, but if that was her real appearance...
