Ellen and Portia, congrats. How fantastic. My partner and I were happy that Washington State allowed us to register as partners, but I think it is great that California has finally, again, led the rest into recognizing same sex marriage. Just hope soon more states follow.
We too hope to move to California someday soon, and when we do, we too will join the ranks of the married. So sad that to this day, people such as LR think our love is a "sin", that we "choose" our lifestyle. Sad, so sad people can't see we are all the same, we were just made who we are and that you love Portia and I love my partner no less or differently than same anyone else. Enjoy your day and say a little prayer that we all can some day love one another the same and not be sperated in to "groups" straight, bi, gay, transgendered. Dumb labels.

I didn't watch you today, because Oprah had on her favorite summer things show, so I watched her instead.
I do watch you all the time though, and you seem so happy, so even if I don't condone what you and Portia have done, you do have a very happy show, and when people are depressed, they should watch your show.
I appreciate the way you don't flaunt it about you being a homosexual (unlike Rosie), and that is one of the reasons I watch you. But the other reason is LETS DANCE AND CACACA.
Wish you and Portia much happiness and say hi to your mom for me. I love her.

LR have you ever been told that you cannot marry, carry insurance, mother the children, make major medical decisions for the one you love? I find it personally insulting that in a free country I cannot marry my partner of 4 plus years.

I dont know if I REALLY belive that a marriage should only be between a woman and a man. I think it sometimes, but, then other times I think: Why shouldnt gay people get married?? Then they could be as misrable as the rest of us married people!!

you know i am a christian too but before you so called christians want to start talking about what the Bible says the Bible also says that we should not judge, so their for your little comments need to be kept to yourself. There is only one judge and that is the Man above let Him do His job we should have no say in what somebody wants to do in their personal life because if truth be told their are somethings that we do in our everyday lives that the Bible says we are not supposed to do and the Bible clearly states that sin is sin no sin is bigger than the other it is all the same. I feel sorry for people that think like "LR". I'm not gay and I don't care who is. It doesn't define a person’s character.
God loves all, God doesn't judge as long as you treat yourself and others with respect. You should be able to love and marry whoever you want; as long as it isn't Oscar the Grouch because that would be really weird.

This is a year of great change for this country. I am so grateful to be experiencing this historic time of legalized gay marriage and diversity in our government. It's way overdue.
