Ellen dear,I am a four time grandmother from India,(yes!the country of 500 million!Wow!)but I really love you for the wonderful person you are.I watch your show every day in India,and when I visit my son, who lives in Buffalo,N.Y.It is the best hour on TV,and I stop everything to watch,and to listen, to all the wonderful things you do, to spread happiness,wherever you can.In today's selfish,cruel world,it is very important to be kind,respectful,and considerate,and the world can learn that from you.My one year old grandson is your ardent fan,and sits up to watch as soon as you come on.He points to the TV and says,"ell,ell!"I am thrilled to hear about your wedding and am sending loads of love as a pre-wedding gift, from a loving fan.Keep going,and keep giving us more.We are always eagerly waiting to see you.Love.

A Big Alleleuhia To Ellen & Portia!!!!

It seems like yesterday that you took a huge step in your career, and announced that you were gay.

I remember lots of ladies @ the workplace feeling bad for you, but as time went on things changed.

Thank you so very much for waking up some folks and their misconception's of gay life.

For all of us who know this as a fact, and not a choice!

It's who we are, and there is no use being judgemental about it... after all your not the creator, and don't profess to know what that is like,or try to speak the workds, just be human and kind to everyone, as you were meant to be.

Congrats again to both of you!

Your most certainly an inspiration to all.

Hi Ellen, You know it is hard for many people to accept someone who is gay and want to get married. I was one of those people. But now I see that you are a sincere person and it shows on your face that Portia is so much part of your life. If she is your soul mate, your hearts beat as one and the love of your life. Then, may your marriage keep you both in true happiness. May you have bread, for as to never go hungry, wine, to always be in good health and salt, as to always have a little seasoning in both your lives. God Bless you both.

Congradulations on your Wedding plans! I'm so happy for you and portia. I have several gay friends that have been together for years and One couple that because of dumb laws, made it hard for them to marry. The one died this past year and I believe that he was entitled to all the respect and privilages that other couples have. Love is so hard to find in this world. I'm so glad that you have found the right person for you to spend your life with and have the right to have your relationship respected in the eyes of the laws. It is true that the world needs to change! People need to look at themselves and stop judging others.Again Congradulations!and Best Wishes for you two. a Fan

I have to say I do'nt watch the show everyday and have'nt watched in a long time,but happened to catch it the day you announced your getting married. I could see how much you were holding back those happy tears {and so was'nt I}
Then when the camera switched to Portia and she had such a big smile it just made me feel warm cuz you could see the absolute love in both your eyes{mine were tearing to much to see anything else}.LOL
I'm sure that was a happy and emontional moment for you both. Also i was wondering does your future wife visit your show everyday?

Congrats to you ... and congrats to me. After almost 36 years together, he proposed yesterday...why? Because he COULD! What a feeling! I never thought it would make me feel so different.

So I'm wondering what's the chance of organizing a wedding for a whole bunch of couples and then a celebration dinner at someplace special? I've seen big ceremonies for immigration and stuff..I want to shout it out and tell the world.

Our best to you and Portia, we know exactly how both of you feel.

I'm happy to see you and Portia being afforded the respect and privileges that I, as a Canadian, have enjoyed for a number of years.

My spouse Robert and I have been together for 21 years and were married last August 3rd. (I joked I'd marry him if we didn't have to start counting with "1" again!)
