BEING ATTRACTIVE IS MUCH MORE THAN HOW YOU LOOK, IT'S IN A TOUCH, A GLANCE, A GIGGLE AND A KINDNESS UNEXPECTED. THAT'S WHY MATT FELL IN LOVE WITH SHAYNE AND I CERTAINLY HOPE THAT IT WILL BE A LONG LASTING LOVE THAT THEY FEEL TOWARDS EACH OTHER.
I truly admire Matt for following his heart. An ideal women for most men is 5"7 and 110 pounds. Matt didn't need a model to feel turned on or a perfect Vogue-magazine body to feel the animal attraction that is important in a relationship. Matt chose Shayne because she made him laugh all the time. When Shayne is old and gray with wrinkles and all...he'll still find her her attractive and alluring (as long as she stays away from plastic surgery like her mother). He couldn't care less what her hair color is, Good Lord, her height doesn't even bother him. These two are the most humble and down to earth people we'll ever see on tv (aside from Ellen!).
Shayne's own sense of style is timeless, very feminine and she always looks put together--high fashion or not.
I have to comment on how she was dressed when she met Matt's family, very conservative and showed a lot of respect for the ocassion, even showed thoughtfulness by bringing a bottle of wine. I don't know how they all managed to keep a straight face after Matt broke the chair he just sat on when they were getting ready to eat, his brother said "And he calls me the fat one," referring to Matt. That was a great clip. I was surprised that Shayne and Matt weren't rolling around on the floor laughing, everyone was cracking up, too bad they didn't show Shayne's face, I'm sure she was laughing as hard as Matt who seems to make a whistle sound when he laughs.
Chelsea's comments did nothing to detract Shayne's attractiveness. Matt did a wonderful job defending his woman--if you don't call that true love--then I don't know what else you'd call it. They are the perfect match. I really hope they get married and live a happy life with lots of fun, lots of affection and lots of love (Matt's words!). I loved watching their love story and what a magical ending, looked like Matt's heart skipped a beat when he saw Shayne as she paused with Chris for a few seconds. I love watching the proposal over and over again. Best of Luck to them!

I recorded the season finale to the Bachelor. I worked all week and have not even watched it yet!! Needless to say, I have been avoiding tv and the internet to try and not have the results spoiled until I got the chance to watch the show. I was doing fine (although dying to watch it) until Wednesday. I was running out of the house to make an appointment around 3:30 and I turned the tv on for my dog (as I always do to keep him company while I'm gone) and what do I see when the tv turns on...... Ellen saying "please welcome the Bachelor and his fiance Shayne'!!! You ruined it for me! UGH! Anyway, I was mad, but got over it. Then that night I went to watch your show and for some reason it didn't record! Not only did you ruin it for me, but I didn't even get to see the interview!! PLEASE put the interview on your website or send it to me on DVD so I can at least see it! Just like you Ellen, I knew from the very beginning that he would pick Shayne. I would love to see that interview! Thanks Ellen and congratulations on your engagement!!!

Thank you Ellen! I too was waiting for Matt and Shayne to be on your show. I wish you had more time to chat with them but it's better than nothing! Matt is correct, if you follow your heart, you can never go wrong.
As for Chelsea, don't care if she's a waitress, actress, sales rep, doctor, lawyer..whatever. She made a mistake by just wearing jeans and a cheap top and tank top when she went to London to meet the rest of the family, everyone in the family was a little bit more dressed up except for her even if it was a lunch get together, although Matt wore jeans (can't remember if he did), he still had a nice dress shirt on. I mean, she didn't need to wear a gown, or even a dress or skirt, a pair of slacks and a nicer shirt would have been a better choice, it sometimes shows respect especially if you are trying make a good impression and you only have one chance. She even looked bloated when she was talking to Matt's mother in the kitchen wearing that God awful top and tank top underneath. On the other hand, Shayne showed respect by looking more presentable because his family was dressed up esp. his mother, and not only that...SHE WAS THOUGHTFUL enough to bring a bottle of wine! Really showed her true colors--doesn't take a degree or any kind of education to show a little bit of respect and thoughtfulness. I don't wonder why Matt's parents liked her better. Ellen, their them song should be "TRUE COLORS" from Cyndi Lauper! Congrats to Matt and Shayne. I wish them happiness always and forever. Thank you Ellen..you were right all along, those two were meant to be together.
