I am so sad to see Jason go, but I think that he was ready. He just didn't seem that into it the last couple of weeks. I think he is a wonderful talent and seems like such a spiritual person. I think he will have a long career ahead of him! I can't wait for him to come out with a CD!

I love Jason's music. He moves me like no other artist in a very long time. I can't wait for his first CD. p.S. I AM NOT A TEENYBOPPER. I AM 50 YEARS OLD. I DO NOT LOVE HIM FOR HIS LOOKS. I LOVE HIM FOR HIS MUSIC.

I loved what Jason to the show! I have to say, though, that it was his time to go. He doesn't seem upset, so neither am I as a fan. He had the least experience of any of them, and made it to Top 4. What an achievement!

Can't wait to hear his album when it comes out. His studio versions are awesome.

I love Jason...One of the main reasons is because he looks SOOOO much like my oldest daughter. It was unreal when we saw him the first time ....I had to look at my husband in wonder?????

The phone rang off the hook the day after the first time Jason was on.So we love him like part of our family ...Maybe he is ?????
I would love to send you a picture to pass on so if Jason ever needs a female stand in here she is.
Thanks
Cindy Tomlinson

He's already answered those questions in repeated interviews yesterday. He said Vote, Vote. Then he said Vote after his second song. He wanted to stay, so he could go home this week for the top 3's homecoming show. Now he will probably not get to go home til mid summer.

He says his did not fake forgetting the lyrics.

He admits it is a relief to be out from under the enormous pressure of the show, but he did want to stay.

Can we move on now?

Ellen,

Thank you so much for pointing out that he said "Don't vote". As soon as he said it, I paused my Tivo and replayed it for my husband. My husband had just heard that morning on the local radio station that Jason supposedly wanted to go home. I think that he totally said "don't vote" and forgot the words to Mr. Tambourine man on purpose. It was just not him. Please ask him when he's on your show!

Hey Ellen, Can't wait to see you and Jason dance together! Hee! What a hoot that would be.

He's an amazing talent, and a beautiful soul. Yeah, he's pretty, too. But his real beauty is of the inner kind, and his way of connecting to a song, and communicating to an audieance is PURE ART! That couldn't be taught over a hundred seasons on a tunnel-visioned talent show.

Tell Jason we love him and are very impatiently waiting for his first CD. And all the ones after that.

I am 65 and an old Hippie. Jason brought a new style to American Idol. A shame he was voted off. Would they have voted off Dylan or Marley in the same way?
I hope he keeps on singing and stays with his style.
Someone different makes music more interesting.

I live in College Station, Texas - home of Texas A & M and Jason Castro! We were really wanting him to come home so we could throw a big party. He'll still get one I'm sure. We are very proud of him and hope to hear more more more! The local support was really great - t shirts were made, watch parties and even maroon & white dreadlock hats! Great job! WHOOP!!! and gig 'em!

Just wanted to say how much I will miss Jason on AI. Every week, I couldn't wait to see what he would do next. He was a breath of fresh air to a very stale show. I'm so glad he is free of them and what they tried to do to him. This is their loss. But, now he's ours. What a beautiful soul he is. And, what a gift he has; the most beautiful voice, like an angel. Talent, like his, is rare. I cannot wait to see what the future will bring Jason Castro.

i just dont know how anyone can be that damn sexy!
i love him and his music. i dont think i will even want to watch american idol without him on it. please let us know when the cd comes out.

thanks,
kyndall

Me again!!!
Tell jason to sing BRET DENNEN " The one who loves you the most" regardless of what people say, he ROCKED bob marley!! who cares if its not "suitable" for american idol, its all about what you feel and whats running through your veins while you sing, and man hes got it. I wish I could wake up, and go to sleep to such a chilling voice!!
Love ya Jason!! u too Ellen!

I cannot wait for Jason to be on your show on Monday! I have voted for him faithfully every week because I think he is the most unique and just so darn cute! He's kind of a big dork and I just love that about him. He's always been so real and he's actually very funny. And his voice is just AWESOME! I do think that he was about ready to go - his performance after hearing the news that he was going home was so FREE and probably the best performance he had done the whole season. But I do need to say Ellen, I watched the "Don't Vote" or "Vote Vote" video you played several times and he definitely said "Vote Vote." I really don't think he would have said "Don't Vote" and if you really watch it, it's clear that he didn't. Anyway, I hope you have a blast with Jason - just stare into his eyes - they're beautiful!

How is Gladys doing now that her favorite Idol is gone? The show will be so dull now without the uniqueness of Jason Castro. But, their loss is your gain as millions more will be watching or recording to hear you visit with him, and we look forward to getting to hear him sing again.

Please let him sing an original song on your show!!! Like..."Someday" or "A song about stars" or "So Fast" or "The other side" they are all so wonderfully honest and heartfelt, it shows so much more of his spirit and musicianship (sp?) than any of the Idol-songs ever did. PLEASE COME OUT WITH A CD SOOOON!!And Come to Saratoga NY!! I cant wait too long, ive already downloaded all of your Idol songs and the originals of some...( I shot the sheriff, nice!)

Yours truly,

Hey Ellen,

If only they let us Canadians vote!! I am a 50 year old teenybopper and every week I would anxiously await Jason performance, as his was the only one I wanted to see. To be so moved by his voice, emotion, smile and wonderful spirit was a blessing and hey, he's not so hard to look at either!!!! Through all the nastiness, he was always smiling, polite and humble. They broke the mold when Jason was born, and I think the world would be a better place with more people like him....and YOU too!! Please send him best wishes from his Canadian fans!!! I for one, will be watching for a CD release and buy one for home, one for the car, and one for work!! Love your show, wish I could see it more often!! Keep on dancin' Ellen. Canada loves you!!

I cannot wait to see Jason on your show!
He was the most genuine and my favorite!

When is Jason going to be on your show. I loved listening to him. He was by far the most talented, unique singing voice. Would love to hear him to more Dylan. Think he will go far. I am 57 years old and would definitely buy his cd's.

Jason please continue in music.

WHEN WILL JASON BE ON YOUR SHOW????????
I COULDN'T FIND A SCHEDULE ON YOUR WEBSITE

Jason has been my favorite from the start. It wasn't his vocal ability that amazed me, it was his unique "rawness" that reminded me of the music that I love. I think what got me into Jason more than anything was the performance that I saw on youtube of him singing 'Clumsy' by Chris Rice. I think American Idol could never have done justice to what Jason was about musically. I have never been an avid watcher of the show, never voted, but this season really clicked with me. i voted for Jason faithfully for weeks thinking that the world needed to know about him. But in the end, I know that competition was looking for the next pop sensation, and I couldn't do that to Jason. I stopped voting after the Neil Diamond week. I could tell he was ready to go. I can't wait to see what he will do for the music world. One suggestion for him...include a cover of Ray LaMontagne's 'Trouble' . He would rock that.
