Last Wednesday night, Jason Castro, the dreadlocked troubadour from Rockwall, Texas, was eliminated from "American Idol." He took it kind of hard, and we hope that by Monday he will have shaken it off, because he will be here to talk about his experience and to sing the Lovin' Spoonful classic, "Daydream." 2 years later and he's back on "Ellen" and got his own self titled CD. I'm so happy! Great work Jason Castro.

hi ellen,
im an avid fan of yours here in the philippines,... we were all watching your show especially when you guested charice pempemgco. and well now that we are also a fan of american idol thou we cant vote... we always watch the show... and we love jason castro.. we hope if he gets to record his own cd.. you will have him again in the show... we love jason so much

and with the ellen degeneres show.. come on i always watch it whether i maybe a delayed telecast here........... i love your shoes....hmmp.. the way you wear your clothes your such a cool dude..... im a fan of you like so much and im a fan of portia too... i love both of you...........

I am so gutted (ask Hugh Laurie) that I missed Jason Castro on your show. I had to work!! He was the best on Idol this year by far!!! And not just for his looks and personality. What a voice, what a range. I listen to him every day without fail. Please have him on again!

Absolutely love your show!!! I have been watching you from stand up and just adore you!

Thanks for having Jason on your show.It ment alot to me seeing him on your show. I hope to one day meet him. He reminds me alot of my Idol choice lastyear Sanjaya cause he's everybit as talented as sanjaya.

ps. I saw on Oprah she helped some fans to meet the Jonas Brothers and was wondering If I could one day arrange to meet with Jason, Sanjaya and Danny Noregia. That dream is still not dead yet. I still have hope cause it's these 3 idols that make me want to be a better person.

Good Morning Ellen,
I love your show and appreciate your kindness and support for rising stars in music, like Jason Castro. I think he has a unique style, and stayed true to his own interpretation of the songs he was given or chose to sing, and that may not have won him votes, but certainly earned my respect. I would definitely buy his CD to listen to while painting, so hope to see one soon. Thanks for a great show!

It was so good to see Jason, he was the best American Idol contestant ever. Honest, humnble and kine as well as extremely talented. We all wish him the very best always. Looking forward to his huge successes and cd's. It would have been nicer if you had not kissed the piano player but made more of a fuss over that very sweet young man.

You can watch Jason Castro on You-Tube, just go to that site and put in JASON CASTRO: Ellen Degeneres. There will be part one and part two. Ellen was very nice to him and he did a very good job singing " DAY DREAM".

To all the fans that missed Jason Castro on Ellen show, I just saw it on You-Tube, just put in " JASON CASTRO; Ellen Degeneres ", it was really nice and Ellen was very nice to him, he sang " Day Dream" and he did an awesome job! There will be part 1 and part 2!

I AM IN LOVE WITH JASON CASTRO BECAUSE HE HAS A GREAT VOICE AND HE IS THE HOTTEST GUY ON THE PLANET. I LOVE THE DREADS BUT HE IS HOT WITH SHORT HAIR TOO. BUT I DON'T JUST LIKE HIS LOOKS HE HAS AN AMAZING VOICE. I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IF HE IF HE IS GOING TO DO SOMETHING IN THE MUSIC BISNESS OR IF HE EVEN WANTS TO.

Since Jaosn was voted off Idol, I won't be watching anymore. I downloaded all AI Studio versons of his songs, he was absolutely great, what an amazing voice, rich with emotion. So many people say AI is a popularity contest, but I love good music and could listen to his voice all day long. I love good music. I work during the day and missed the show, hope I can find the clip somewhere. I hope to see a CD soon from this guy, I listen to him on my IPod every day, but it's only 37 minutes worth. Hope he makes a CD soon!

Hi Ellen,

My girls and I didn't get to watch your show yesterday due to our local news deciding that watching people's houses burn due to brush fires was more important, so they pre-empted the entire show.. IDIOTS>>> ! ! ! !

Is there a way I could watch the show??, or get more than with the bits you have on your site, or Ellen in a minute?? We watch YOU every day and a day without ELLEN is like well, a day in rehab. it's not much fun...

Hey Ellen,
I missed your Monday show because of the news they had about brush fires here in florida. I was at my friends apartment ready to watch your show but could not cuz of those freaking news!!!I was so excited to see your show cuz Jason Castro was on there. I love him so much I am like his biggest #1 fan ever!!!I'd vote for him everyday when he was on American Idol and I wished he would have stayed but I still love him no matter what happens to him. I just hope you will have him onto your show again so I could see him next time. Jason Castro is like my favorite contestant on American Idol including David Archuleta. I would do anything to touch his dreadlocked hair just to see what they feel like.

I read one of your comments and I could not believe what you did!!You gave the piano player a kiss instead of Jason Castro?? why Ellen?? I would have given Jason Castro a kiss on his lips LOL!!!I probably would have made out with him LOL just kidding!!! I would not do that but still I'd given Jason a kiss on his lips!I still love you though Ellen dont get me wrong about that. I'll always love you and I dont care what other people say about you. Yes that was wrong for you to give the piano player a kiss instead of Jason Castro but hey that was your decision and Im not gonna stop watching your show just because of that Ellen. You will always be my favorite talk show host no matter what you do or what other people say about you so dont let them get to ya ok? just ignore them!! We wish that we saw the show when Jason was one, our family are his big fans, he doesn't have to win, he is a winner in so many people's hearts. He is very unique and just a ray of sunshie.
Anyone here ever listen to his song call "SO FAST' on you tube? Oh my! Just beautiful and amazing voice. We love all of his songs, just like no one can make famous singers like Eric Clapton or others to sing other styles of music, and the fans love his soft voice just like Jason.
Ellen, after read some comments here, we hope you would invite Jason back and treat him with kindness, he is a good guy. Thank you.

Thanks for having Jason on your show! Didn't think he said "Don't vote" and also glad to see him - I was also experiencing Jason withdrawals! He was so unique and loved his voice! :)

I agree with Dina. I felt Ellen did not connect with Jason at all or tried to. I was especially hurt at the end after Jason sang. Ellen goes over and instead of staying with Jason she runs to the piano player and kisses him. Leaves Jason alone on stage looking at her kissing the piano player. I thought that was really bad. I never saw that on a show a host leaving the guest standing there not knowing what to do. How awful!
I also got the feeling that he wasn't her favorite so why bother.
