Last Wednesday night, David Cook -- the 25-year-old spiky-haired former bartender from Tulsa, Oklahoma -- became the 7th American Idol when he won by more than 12 million votes! On Tuesday, David joins Ellen to talk about his Idol experience and where he's going from here. He's also going to treat us to a song! Hello there Ellen!! I just want you to know that I am a big fan of your show and I really like it.Your humorous-but-simple words made me an avid fan of Ellen even I'm a teenager.Watching such talkshow is not my hobby and interest but since I've watched one of your episodes,I started watching it everynight.
I'm also a big fan of DAVID ARCHULETA,and I felt excited when I was informed that he'll be on your show.But unfortunately,I wasn't able to watch that particular episode.That is why I am requesting and begging for DAVID ARCHULETA's second appearance.Maybe on the next month...

Ellen I wached your show about every day. I seen most of the castoffs on your show I didn't see David Archuleta. Why wasn't he. I went to the Amareca Idols tore live in Salt Lake City he was amazing there. I woould like to know when he will be on the show.

I can't wait for David Archuleta to be on Ellen. I hope Ellen listens to Eva Cassidy's youtube version of Songbird and she will see that anyone (David) who says this is one of HIS idols, Ellen will see the musical depth of this great kid and musician! Want to see him on Ellen!! Oh, I just saw that David is now #4 on Amazon's Music Bestseller list for his new album that doesn't come out until November!!

Everyone should have their opinion. I disliked the fact that Simon went on the show the day before the finals were sung and pushed his own favorite to the voting public. That was very poorly done. And hopefully by now Ellen and Simon have watched many of David A's interviews and Ellen has had the opportunity to listen to him sing in person. It would have been great to have seen him on Ellen and for him to have been afforded the same opportunity to visit with and get to know her that the other idol contestants had. Oh well.

Why would Ellen EVER not like David Archuleta? I can understand (not really) why someone might not like his music...but as a person, there is absolutely nothing not to like. So, Did Ellen actually ever say she didn't like HIM. I think not. I think the reason we are so upset is that I feel there are so many of us that have enjoyed Ellen and supported her over the years, that when she threw her support to someone other than David, we all freaked out. Eventually, in my honest opinion, Ellen plans to have David on the show. I think she realizes the amount of negatives she recieved for the Cowell interview and to have him on when she normally would have had a voted off contestant on, would have been very awkward. As we've seen on all the interviews David has done, he is huge and does a great job answering questions, and he's funny and just gets more likeable the more you see him.
So I think we all need to pump the brakes a little on this. David is and will continue to be fine. So will Ellen. I'll be sure to catch the show the day she does finally have him on. Now that will be a big ratings day for her! Come to think of it as I just wrote that...could it be that was the plan all along??

Hey, i was just wondering why you've had every idol cast off and david cook except for david archuleta?!
he really inspires me and i would do anything to meet him.
i always missed his other interviews i had to end up watching them on the computer but i watch you everyday so i wouldn't miss him.
