Do Good with Dr. Wayne Dyer and Ellen

Last month, Ellen and Dr. Wayne Dyer challenged whoever was listening to give of themselves and "pay it forward" with as many good deeds as they could do. This video shows that many of you were listening and went above and beyond.

Ellen, Do you and Portia have any plans to give birth to, adopt or sponsor a child? There is a severe need to care for the safety of mothers in war torn areas. That is really priority #1 in preventing more orphans, and also preventing children from being taken as slave soldiers to be sent into harms way. That means providing the shelter, safety, and education that a child needs, - that a mother desires. Imagine the desire, Wayne that overcomes that double jeopardy. Just imagine.

Hey Boca Boy, are you on the side of our common ground, the master key, math base 10 in 3 dimensions, or not? Is world peace gonna come through a coalition of the jews christians muslims and the rest of all of us, minus the gay and lesbians, minus their healthcare, and minus the rights to love under the same laws as any couple? Minus your neighbor? What do you think Mayor Abrams will do? Who holds the key to stand by me in Rat's Mouth?

I just got through watching your show with Dr.Dyer. Believe it or not it was the first time I had heard of him. I was so inspired, I have always believed in and taught my children to always pay it forward. It makes my day to make someone smile.

I have a long history of taking in stray animals and children. I have 5 dogs, 3 cats and 2 ferets all were adopted except for the ferets. I have a stray that hangs around in the parking garage at work so I always try to keep cat food in my trunk. My dream is to have a bunch of land with kennels as far as the eye can see so i can take care of more of the neglected and abused animals. I want a big house with lots of rooms so I can take care of all the neglected children that need love and attention.

I always try to give when and where I can. I work full time so I dont have a lot of time to volunteer so I do what I can.My husband says if I bring anymore animals home he will have to move out to make room LOL. He also says we could never be rich because I would give it all away, hes right what fun is money if you cant share it with everyone so they can be happy with you.

I just wanted to say thanks for inspiring me to do even more it feels so good. Guess I have rattled on long enough thanks for listening.

I'm happy that you have folks talking about how to be nice to others. I was raised to respect others be it successful or those that are not. Why do we as a society have to have talk shows to talk about being nice to people? It doesn't make sense to me. Life is all about helping and being nice to people around us. Ellen, I would like to get a response from you to get your opinion. Of the few shows that I have seen of yours (I hope that it is real)I can see that you also respect anyone despite their situation. Why do you think that you need to have guests to talk about how to be nice?

For example you said today about driving and letting folks move in front of you, I have been doing that for a long time and find that some folks don't care to let you in front of them, what do you think of that? These folks are not only teens, early adults and adults....What is that all about?

why is this your last day on channel 5 nbc?

you're not going off the air are you?

Please look at my web site.

Hi, Ellen we in ALABAMA and we all love your show and my mom 4 shoer so will u give her a big shootout Cassandra Nelson McGrew we love Ellen

My daughter and I watch your show everyday. I volunteer at my childs high school in the guidance office and attendance office. I help them just by filing or helping write notes for absences or early dismissals or making copies of letters to go home with the students. Anything to help them, it gets me out of the house and helps the office staff by reducing their stress and helping out. Sometimes, they just get a kick out of me just being there. They can't get over how much I smile. I wasn't there a couple of weeks due to my health, the kids missed me while I was out. That was nice to hear...that I was making a difference in their lives too.

If your audience has the time to help out their local school, please encourage them to. The schools will appreciate their help and make their day too.

Dear Ellen,

I was watching your show today and was suprised at the end topic about random acts of kindness .
earlier today at the grocerie store I was in line getting my items when a man behind me was waiting to buy a loaf of bread. He was dirty and appeared to be homeless or very down on his luck.
I am currently unemployed and looking for work but I was compelled to help him. I gave the cashier a ten dollar bill and asked her to use it for his bread and give him the change. I never got to speak to him but I hope what little I did may have made a difference or at least gave him another meal. I felt compelled to share this with you when I saw the show. You do not ever have to look far to realize what blessings you have and how you can be a blessing to others. I love your show and so do my kids!!! you are a blessing to me.
Sincerely,
Robin Tufte

Hi Ellen

I was very moved when i wathced your show with dr.dyer he is such an inspiration to make you want to do good. I wanted to let you know what i have been doing for others not just in the past month but for as long as i can remember. You dont realize how much you have or how much you take things for granted until you are reminded by someone that has nothing. There is a Homless man that lives behind a gas station down the street from me and everyday when dinner time rolls around i make sure that i make a little extra and take it to him everyday so i know that when he closes his eyed to go to sleep at night at least he has a full tummy!!!!! thank you Ellen for being so wonderful and making me laugh everyday and reminding me that life is to short to be selfish or miserable so Keep on smiling!!!!!

hi ellen, my name is rosemary and yes you should get marry i did with lee in new ports ny 4 years ago i would like to dance with u on your show and i would like also to o to your wedding please invite us. thank you

Wow, Ellen, I just love the energy I get even through the television when Dr. Dyer is on your show. Today's show was just so positive anyway with David Cook and everyone else that was on, but I just get tingly when I watch you with Dr. Dyer! Great vibes from a great show, who could ask for anything more?! Thanks so much, I remain your biggest fan!

Ellen!

I DVR your show everyday and when I get home I watch it to unwind. I laugh everyday and today I felt so touched by the message of giving that I nearly cried.

One of my favorite things to do to show kindness on a regular basis is when I am purchasing something I always strike up a conversation with the cashier. A lot of times they aren't looking particularly happy and I make it my goal to get them smiling by the time I leave. It is a fun little game that I play and I would recommend it to everyone.

Thanks for the positive energy you send out into the world everyday. I love watching your show. Thank you.

Sincerely, Sara

I watched your show today with Dr. Wayne Dyer and I just love seeing him on your show, as well as reading or listening to his books. He is just wonderful! So are you! I wanted to mention to you that when you two were showing clips of your audience that had done something nice that Jewel (I think) has a song that the chorus is "In The End, Only Kindness Matters" and it is so appropriate. I love that song and the saying and thought maybe you could pass it on. When you really think about it, when we are on our way to meet our Maker, we won't be asked how much we have in our bank account or how many cars we have or anything like that, that "only kindness matters" in the end, and that is what we'll be asked about! Maybe you could have t-shirts made up with your logo and that saying - for all of your audience that showed kindness! You are the best!

Hello Ellen;
I just wanted to share with you the things I have done this past month after watching your show with Dr. Dyer. He has had a great impact on my family - my sister, my son, and myself.

What I did was to send a few dollars to an extended family member who is trying to buy a house, even though I am struggling myself. I also helped a friend to take unused clothing to Goodwill for a person we did not know, but was moving and needed help to get things out of her apartment so she could move to Minnesota. She was very greatful for the help, as her husband had already moved. I am very fortunate to have a loving family and try to pay it forward whenever possible. Thank you for having Dr. Dyer on the show, he is truly an inspiration.

Ellen, 5-27-08

I think your show is AWESOME!!! And I watch it everyday. I live in Michigan and you are on at 10:ooam. I take care of a lady who is 76yrs old and, let me tell you. She totally gets out of bed to see your show. It makes her laugh and she loves it when you have animals on.

Thanks Ellen for keeping her spirit up

Sue

I try to do something good for everyone every day and I talk to everyone I meet and try to say something nice about them. Just listening to someone when they need to talk really helps them get through their day.
Sincerely,
glenda,"the good witch"
