It's down to "American Idol's" Top 2. Who do you think is going to win it all?

Hi Ellen! Love your show. You can always make me smile, especially on a bad day!
I was wondering how come, on your website, you don't show any of the singers/bands performances anymore? Sometimes I miss them and I used to be able to view them on your web.
Oh, please, please, please, bring back the singers performances!
Thank You so much!
One of Your Many Fans,
Michelle
Ellen, I realize that the LDS religion had much to do with Proposition 8 being passed. Boooooo. But David Archuleta is a young man and was raised in this religion from birth. Who knows what he personally believes. I am sorry this vote went the wrong way, but please do not lump him into the organized mass campaign for this bill. Just as you don't want to be judged and discounted for your sexuality, don't judge an underaged boy for his religion.
I am sorry that people can't live and let live. Where is the harm in two people committing to each other and receiving the same rights as others. Sad, sad, sad.
hi, ellen..
my name's Abigael...
i would want 2 thank u &nd the producers of ur show 4 finally giving David Archuleta the chance 2 b a part of ur show... (:
This angel-hearted, angel-faced, &nd angel-voiced guy just REALLY DESERVES 2 be in ur show ...
i just dont get it why u dont wanted him b4 2 b on Ellen... all of the Idol contestants except Archuleta have been guests...
anyways, i hope that by the day David Archuleta visits ur show, u'll realize how he really deserves 2 receive all the praises &nd great comments from a lot of people...
(:
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH ELLEN FOR PUTTING DAVID ARCHULETA ON YOUR SHOW I'M SO EXCITED just for the people who dont know he will be on 11/14/08
OK so i was just wondering you have that artical on the home page of your web site about say no to prob 8 and dont discrimanate and all that but yet i've been hearing stuff about how you wont put David Archuleta on your show because of his religon so isnt that discrimanation? so you want people to stop discrimanating while you are discrimanating.

I really hope you are going to have David Archuleta on your show soon. I keep reading now that you are against his religion. Please Ellen, you should be open minded. He's one of the nicest kids you'll meet and he deserves a shot on your show. You always bring out the best in everyone so give him a try. You've had all the other younger singers on such as jonas bros, demi lovato, etc. Come one Ellen, give him his break. You can help put him on the map and believe me, we'll all love ya for it.
I just cannot believe what Ellen did. it is not like becuase we like DA she should like him as well,it is about integrity. I am pretty sure that this is the difference between people who love to do what they do and other that become so self-centered that think life goes around them. DA loves music and love and respect everybody around him. Maybe Ellen loves herself and her tastes and ...what was that? oh, yeah, herself and her tastes!!!
I do not watch your show any longer, although I am retired and could see it everyday. I do not think David should be on your show due to all the negaativity that has surrounded this issue. It will just be another time that he has to defend himself, answer questions that are inappropriate and uncomfortable, and try to show that he is not what he was portrayed to be. David can be places where he is wanted from the beginning. I will watch the interview again, but David does not need to be on your program and be subjected to any more.
Ellen,
Every day at 4 I have tuned into your show. That is, until I heard your comments and found that David A. would not be on your show! I always found you to be sweet and funny and kind to everyone, but not David A. Out of all people really, why him? He is so sweet, funny, and talented yet, you don't seem to like him. You made comments basically saying he has a bland personality, but have you every seen him being interviewed? He has the cutest personality and he is sweet and inviting.
I don't think I will be tuning back into Ellen until I hear that David Archuleta will be on!
In regards to gg's comments;
I think you may be going a bit overboard on your opinion of Ellen's "close-mindedness". Even though, as already stated, I'm very disappointed in her lack of support for David A., I really don't think she is driven by a dislike of Mormonism. How could you say that? That sounds ridiculous. Ellen has dealt with prejudice first-hand most of her adult life, for sure. It is however, my opinion, that Ellen tends to practice her power of celebrity when deciding to select her favorites. If memory serves me correctly, she also snubbed Taylor Hicks, intially, because she really was blown-away by Daughtry. However, he was on her show fairly soon after the contest ended. I don't know the exact months she waited, but it wasn't too terribly long. I do remember thinking it was about time. Even then, it was obvious in her interview with Hicks, that she still had HER favorite.
I too, have pondered about the true validity of the American Idol contest. Especially, with Abdul's slip of the tongue, it certainly seems more of a possibility that the show could be rigged. I do think Archuleta was manipulated and jerked around by AI, and the great irony is they will make millions from his talent. Nothing can be proved, we can only be aware of our doubts and hunches.
The fact remains, Archuleta is a genuine article. He is an unadulterated personality and talent that we have only begun to celebrate and discover. The true proof in the pudding will be when and how long it takes Ellen to invite him on her show. Then, we will know she plainly and selfishly, I might add, has her own favorites. It is her show, bottom line, but her role is to please the public. Personal preference really ought not to factor in on such a high-profile show
that's meant for the American audience- (global as well). Her omitting him altogether will eventually show her lack of taste and professionalism. I hope this doesn't happen, because everyone is always saying what a good, sweet person she really is. I want to believe that is true.

People, the reason Ellen did not or will not
invite Archie on her show is because of his
integrity and moral views are different
from her personal and political, religious
views. Basically, she knows that his religion
is against her choice in a partner if you know
what I mean. She probably feels that they would
be on different wavelenths that would interfere
with the sincerety of the interview. However,
that should not matter. David does not judge.
She is the one that is judging him. He is only
17 and already she is bullying him like Simon.
Simon puts down David before finale, because
he knew Archuleta was going to win big. He put
his 2 cents in to dissuade the voters along with
a little help from his English friends behind
the scenes that rigged the votes. Yes, they were
definately rigged. If you have not read all the
proof by now. This show is a farce and should now be cancelled for it's wrongdoing. Misleading
the public as well as the contestant Archuleta.
cherry picking their favorite for their political
reasons. Thank God, that Archuleta was presented
to us before this show closes. I believe this
show will come to a close because of all the
deception and corruption. I'm saddened to know
that Paula, Ryan went right along with it and Randy had no choice. They need to keep a job.
It's tour time. Archuleta has already shown
his star quality and the response from his fans
continues to grow with enormous screaming. They,
idol producers made a big mistake and will regret
their choice for the rest of their idol lives.
Archie will live on to greatness. The best is yet to come for him, he is only 17 and can only
show his fans more exciting things to come.
Ellen, your so closed minded it's pathetic.
Just because he's a mormon is the real reason
you don't want him on your show. That your show
be cancelled as well for being discriminating.
You and Simon make your own show of hate for all
the cook haters and the like.
How typical of L.A.!
Snub him, but use him for own benefit later on.
I just think Ellen could have been more fair and generous to such a deserving guy.
Until now, I have been a huge Ellen fan.
Why would Ellen EVER not like David Archuleta? I can understand (not really) why someone might not like his music...but as a person, there is absolutely nothing not to like. So, Did Ellen actually ever say she didn't like HIM. I think not. I think the reason we are so upset is that I feel there are so many of us that have enjoyed Ellen and supported her over the years, that when she threw her support to someone other than David, we all freaked out. Eventually, in my honest opinion, Ellen plans to have David on the show. I think she realizes the amount of negatives she recieved for the Cowell interview and to have him on when she normally would have had a voted off contestant on, would have been very awkward. As we've seen on all the interviews David has done, he is huge and does a great job answering questions, and he's funny and just gets more likeable the more you see him.
So I think we all need to pump the brakes a little on this. David is and will continue to be fine. So will Ellen. I'll be sure to catch the show the day she does finally have him on. Now that will be a big ratings day for her! Come to think of it as I just wrote that...could it be that was the plan all along??

Such a research-based core curriculum would provide much more extensive, de- manding, and content-driven training to inform classroom practice. ,
