I'm soooo happy that David Cook won because he was my favorite on American Idol.I think that singing is a great career for him and I just can't wait till he records his first CD.

The World I Know is one of my favorite songs, and to hear one of my favorite idols sing it - makes it better. I love David Cook (Jason Castro is my first love) - but I can't wait to see David's career blossom and take full bloom!! :)

David, you are a breath of fresh air for the music industry. Incredibly talented, yes, but also so down to earth and intelligent! You exhibit a grace that we don't see often. I'm sure you're destined for a phenomenal career. I'm 43 - and, yes, he's gorgeous!

Hey 49 year, old you are not alone. I am 52 and think DC is the most talented person ever to grace the stage of idol. It is obvious he appeals to the young and the not so young. From what I have read about him, he has been working hard at this for quite some time. I believe he will be a great inspiration to all who believe in their dreams and work towards them. As a mother of two teens also persuing careers in the music industry I commend him for sticking with it. I think he will become the biggest idol star yet and look forward to seeing him on tour this summer

I have been a DC fan from day 1 also and was so thrilled he won. Way to go David! I agree he does sound better on Ellen than he did on Idol. He did fabulously on Idol but he is so much more relaxed here and rested.

David Cook is awesome. He has an amazing voice, can't wait to see him on the idol tour. I love his songs from his solo CD.

Oh please, David Cook is anything but overrated. He's just what this show needed to keep its credibility.

David Cook is immensely talented, creative, sweet and intelligent person who will live up to his title as an Idol better than anyone. And not only that, he has the charisma and staying power of a real rock star and a longterm artist, I am 100 % sure that he'll have a long and successful career. I can't wait to buy his album!

Congratulations David and rock on! We love you!

sorry, I don't like him and think he's overrated. Probably one of the better idols on a lackluster season though.

I am so glad David Cook won. He sounded even better on your show. Maybe because the pressure is off. Hope he records The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Loved it on IDOL!!!!

Is it wrong that I'm 49 and I think that this guy is just gorgeous? I don't mean anything improper, I just love listening to him and looking at him! He's very talented and I was thrilled to death for him when he won. I'm also a Mormon, so it just goes to show, that unlike what everyone seemed to think, we didn't all vote for Archie just cause he is a Mormon, though I think that he's very talented too, just wasn't the best of the 2 of them.
