David Cooks on Ellen

Still exhausted from his "American Idol" marathon, David Cook caught his breath and gave a delicious performance for Ellen and her audience.

Hey Ellen:

I've never been an Idol fan, mainly because there are so many morons that go on there that have absolutely no talent...plus Simon gets on my nerves LOL. Anyways, I happened to have been walking past the television while my family was watching Idol and I saw David Cook during his try-outs and I thought to myself "OK, now that dude has talent"
Needless to say I was anxious to see him perform again and again and I quickly became an "Idol Fan". I told my fiance that this guy will most certainly be our next Idol...and of course my entire family laughed at me. I just kept saying, well, if America can't see it and vote it that wont matter anyway because this guy will definitely have a future.
Way to go David...Your performances make me smile. You really should try some Christian Rock because you know how to get into the heart and soul of a person. I'm proud of you! Also, would ya please do a song with your brother?!?

hey ellen! im a HUGE FAN of david cook..i always watch american idol.. i love the way he sings and delivers the songs.. he is reaaly amazing and one of a kind..i love david cook..he totally rocks!!

I liked this performance.

I hoped you would also have David Archuleta on the show. Did you invite him and Syesha? Maybe you did and there was a scheduling conflict. I would like to believe that is the case. Please, pretty please get him on the show. You will see how full of personality he is.

Wow. Just wow. Thanks Ellen! It's amazing that this performance on your small studio stage is just as powerful as anything he performed on the big AI stage. David Cook is the real deal. I hope he records this cover for his album. His version of The World I Know is absolutely beautiful and haunting.

Ellen, you did it again!!! Thanks for giving us a wonderful show and having David Cook perform. I sure wish you would of had him dance with you on the start of the show, but guess we cant have it all? (Or did you keep that to yourself?) No matter what I love that thing you do, and thanks for having David on. I look forward on seeing him in Omaha, where I saw him waiting in that long raining line. What a trip. Anywho, keep dancing and wave to that lady cop you see daily on your route home. I'll keep doing my acts of kindness. This time I'll keep you in mind :) Love ya, Lisa

I missed the interview today but I saw the clip of david singing. I can't wait until his album hits the market. I am so glad he won- its amazing that he went to the tryouts in support of his brother and then David becomes the winner. I feel he is the best male winner of Idol so far. I wish him all the best in his career. I wish the tour was coming to Hershey PA but they skipped us this year. Good luck!! ELLEN have a great summer and can't wait to see your new home at Warner Bros.

I think David Cook did a grand job on AL. He has sure earned my respect.I think his parents did a great job in raising him. I will buy any thing that he records. Great Job David! You will go far in your music.

I hear you Enchanted Follower, I feel like I did when Rick Springfield was at his peak! This guy not only has a magnificent vocal talent, but he is beautiful to look at, funny, humble and everything else. His mom did something right in raising him.

Im only a 12 year old
And i look up to David as someone who can set as an example. I watched all his interviews and everything. And i keep on crying on how much he cares for people. For example. His guitar has the initials of his older brother, Adam who has a type of brian cancer. And also if u notice David wearing an orange bracelt, it came from a 5 year old girl with this other type of cancer. David also mentioned about praying for Luke from the top 16 about him being diagnosed with a disease. David is just a total sincere, smart man. I kept on crying when he sang this song. And as a big fan i will support him in anything he does.

Hi Ellen...........thanks for having David Cook on. I am 58 and my niece is 13...we both think he's great....that's true talent that can appeal to such a wide audience. Best of luck David..keep us baby boomers in mind when you pick the songs for your album.

I am 68 years old. David Cook has brought back feelings I forgot I had. It is as though a former lover is singing to me through him. He is awesome. I can't wait to see him in concert.

All I can say is.....WOW! David Cook is just amazing and his performance on your show today was just incredible. I can't get enough of Cook, can't wait for his first album - and the second, third, etc, etc. It would be awesome to meet him someday!

Wow, I could cry seeing David Cook on Ellen it was so amazing. The two of you together is the perfect combination. I unfortunately will not be able to go to see him on the American Idol Tour :( I'd give anything to though, he's amazing just like Ellen!

I am happy that he won AI. I think he did an excellent job on a Collective Soul song and I am happy that for once a Collective Soul song was done on AI

Ellen, Thanks for having David Cook on the show. I couldn't wait until this airs in our city, so I watched in online. I'll watch it on TV this afternoon.
