looking at david cook just makes me want to smile. Personally i couldn't care who won american idol this season. I love both the davids they are both amazing singers and people as a whole. David Cook- he is amazing on any guitar he picks up, any song he sings. He is amazing!! Not to mention he is one hottie ;] Can't believe i missed him on Ellen but PLEASE Ellen have him and David Archuleta back on SOON!! Thank you!

David Cook is an amazing singer, musician, songwrite and arranger. I am in awe of his talent. He emotes so well and makes one feel a performance rather than just see it. I always cry when I listen to his songs, they are so beautiful. He also is a wonderful representative for American Idol. He has such presence, being an intelligent and lucid talker with an amazing vocabulary. I see great things in the future for David Cook and I will be riding along on the Cook train.

How dare you Jeanne saying that Archie has no personality!!! Do you know what's your talking about? May be you should enrol in PDA because personality is not only focused on the extrinsic part of a person it goes beyond that. It's the totality of a person. I considered you as a person with no personality because you can easily judged a person by just mere observation. Archie is just a shy person.

Hi Ellen - How lucky/blessed were YOU to have had the delicous David Cook give his best performance EVER on YOUR SHOW?!?!?! How lucky are those of us who have had the opportunity to witness such a performance?!?!?! I actually wept my way through most of it the first time I saw it. In my opinion, David is a rare, pure, natural talent that defies description, and this performance should prove to any remaining doubters/naysayers that he more than deserved to win the American Idol title, at the very least. I have lost track of how many times I have watched this clip and how many people I have shared it with. Thank you for posting it on your website so that we can all gaze upon his beautiful, beautiful face as often as we wish and enjoy this spectaular performance again and again.

Hi Ellen! im such a big fan of yours! I might not catch all your latest episodes of your talkshow, as im from Singapore, a country in Asia.. but i simply love to watch your show! and i am definitely a David Cook fan!! i think he is creative and an amazing singer.. with such originality! hes amazing!! Thank you for putting this up!

Hi Ellen! im an avid fan of your show. i see to it that i watch your show regularly, and if i missed your show, i go to your website or youtube to watch it. I was soo happy that you've guested David Cook, coz after Kelly C, he is the next big/best thing that AI have produced. I love them both, hope that they will do a duet, that would be amazing and a real treat for us fans. Also, i am so touched when DC posted a thank you message in youtube to his fans, that was the sweetest thing to do. to be able to win big time and still remembers his fans/friends, that is totally awesome. you can really tell how amazing person he is. very happy he won, otherwise it would be a total big-time super duper lost and disappointment for AI, and no one will ever gonna watch that show.so cheers! to our big time winner! cheers to you Ellen, may you have many shows to run and congrats to your new home!

Thank you so much for posting this song on your Web site. We had a severe thunderstorm in St. Louis during the show, and when David was singing - the TV station chose to pre-empt it!!!!!
Many people were very upset. I'm so glad to hear the beautiful song on your Web site. Thanks.
And just a side comment - David Archuleta can sing, but has no personality and worldly presence. IMO, it was the way it should have been this year.....

I missed your show but just watched David online. He was my favorite from the very start of Idol. I am a rocker girl and was so disappointed when Bo Bice and Chris Daughtry did not win so it's about time a rocker won. I kept hitting the redial all night too!

Thank you for having a video of DC's performance on your show. I was a little bit upset, though, as the cable guide showed him listed as a guest on Wednesday's show. I recorded it and was so excited to come home from work to see it only to find out he wasn't going to be on. So glad I got to see it anyway.

Aside from his jaw-dropping vocals and song rearrangements, the thing I can't get over with David Cook is that he could have been a rocker and bartender for so long and not be jaded. He seems humble, sensitive, kind, genuine and polite. I love that he can make fun of himself and is very open about his own foibles. I love that he is corny. He is really a breath of fresh air. Most people with his level of talent would not be like that.
