A Comic Called Wanda

Wanda Sykes stopped by the show Wednesday and was hilarious as usual. She took on prehistoric congresswomen, and talked about her inner conflict about voting for either Barack or Hillary.

Whoa that chick is hot, but I'm in love with Ellenor Christine, when I find her, and it's a total mix up. I will find her, like Daniel Day Lewis said in the Last of the Mohicans. It's not possible I put comment 13 straight to Senator McCain's blog instead. Is it?

Don't leave me this way.

Wednesday's Ellen show was preempted because of a hockey game. There was no warning of this. I would have asked someone in another state to tape it. I did get to see Wanda on my computer and I'm still working on seeing Wednesday's show on my computer.

what happened to the fish called Wanda!! ! LOL

I love Wanda! She's funny!!!! Smart and I like her ideas!!!.. opinions!!!! I agree on most of everything she opiniates about! :)

I saw two birds today.. they were fat and I thought to myself.. they've been eating well! I did some research on birds online and found out they eat all day just to have enough calories to burn to keep 'em warm all night! Isn't that interesting! And yesterday I watched animal planet sitka deer.. black tailed deer and the fawn Jewelie got saved 'cause her mom got killed from a bear.. sooo cute little deer.. very bold.. and deer have to eat more in the winter 'cause they need the energy to stay warm... so in that sense deer and birds are alike in away.. they both eat more so they can stay warm!

anyway... back to the two birds... I think they were playing follow the leader under this truck and I heard one say to the other 'cause it got left behind.. the other bird went around the tire real fast and the bird that was following.. said, "Wait for me... where are you going.. where's the worm?" Or maybe they were playing.. tag your IT!!!! LOL They were cute.

Thank you Ellen for having her on your show today!

Wow, maybe Sally's real issue is that her son Jesse is allegedly gay. Not surprising that she does not have a relations with him. Maybe the stemming issue is that she hates herself because she created a (in her mind) a gay man! Get into therapy and fight your own demons because your mouth is venomous because of your own missed up issues..

Moral relativism. That what this is all about. Mankind wanting to be their own god. It is unfortunate that what was wrong is now good, and was bad is now a right.

Sorry Ellen, but I can no longer put up with your show. Your bravado regarding your "marriage" and the attack on the politician violates the values this country was founded on.

In addition the situational ethics of the homosexual lifestyle is apppaling. Just because you want to do it does not make it good, or right. God made a man, and a woman. Period. God destroyed the earth because of the perverted lifestyle of mankind. He will come again and judge those who do not obey Him. How funny that you all call those with a moral compass "haters", but Jesus will come again and judge you. You should heed the warning of God Himself.

Oh, and what else is ironic is to see you have Bible believing Christians on your show singing praises to God while you dance. That is pure mockery of God and all He has created. Mocking God is a very serious sin Ellen.

Think what you want Ellen and supporters, God Reigns! Not you.

Hi all,

I got here through the MSNBC headlines about the slaying of the gay youth. In all that I've read here, I'm strongly impressed by the lines below in multifarious versions. Hope it talks to somebody.

(GNB) Ever since God created the world, his invisible qualities, both his eternal power and his divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God has made. So those people have no excuse at all!

(ISV) For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes-his eternal power and divine nature-have been understood and observed by what he made, so that people are without excuse.

(YLT) for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world, by the things made being understood, are plainly seen, both His eternal power and Godhead--to their being inexcusable;

Rom. 1:20

The fact that Sally Kern represents Oklahoma is embarrassing to say the least! She does not speak for the majority of Oklahomans, me included. People in this country should be outraged! Ignorance is Bliss and Sally Kern is a big BLISter!

end entry

Thank you Ellen for bringing to light Kerns hate beliefs and for your comments. When ever anyone hears hateful things and keeps silent it allows the person saying the hateful stuff to believe they're right and everyoen agrees with them.

""Haters" go to churches and kill random people, fathers, mothers, children.. because they're Christians. "

Seriously? Like, seriously? When does this happen? Where in this country does this happen?

end entry

Ellen, you did a great job in handling this situation. The words of Sally Kern are hateful and they must be challenged. Thank you!

It's okay, "Anonymous," I'll pray for you.

Patricia: Once again.. your integrity doesn't stand for much when you call me names.
As for the relief.. I enjoy shows for their entertainment.. not.. politics. I don't think Ellen was wrong for bringing it up. I suppose if I had my own show.. I'd bring up my passions and beliefs regularly. (Although, I probably wouldn't be allowed.) I'm glad Ellen called Rep. Kerns and made politics into entertainment.. the mailbox was full. That was entertaining. Ellen's facial expression to Kerns' statement was entertaining. But, Ellen was very respectful with her reaction, and classy. As she was "told" by Kerns' that her way of life was dangerous to our society, I also have been told by those in my life and other commenters here on this board that MY lifestyle is dangerous to society. So.. are you kidding when you ask me if I'm faced with prejudice? I get as much persecution as anyone. If I went to the 2008 Olympics in China I wouldn't be allowed to bring a bible. My sons aren't allowed to pray to God in school. "Haters" go to churches and kill random people, fathers, mothers, children.. because they're Christians. But you don't hear about that much because of the media. They only talk about Ted Haggard or other high-profile Christians who have messed up in the spotlight. ONE major American television network is conservative.. of what, 5? 6? In a nation guided by the media, those aren't great odds. Some of the people writing these comments hate me for my beliefs.. my Christian lifestyle. Sure I might sometimes feel like I need to hide. But I'm not going to deny who I am. I'm a follower of Christ. If I hadn't posted my thoughts and feelings on this board.. expressed my beliefs (as Ellen expresses hers) THEN I'd be hiding. But I don't hide.
I'm not surprised by these reactions. I expect them. I was told to expect them and not to take it personally because it's not me that you hate or disagree with. I'm not angered by it. I don't lash out for it. The Truth is only solidified in my heart by your reaction. Thanks for the revelation.

Anonymous: You are bigoted and hateful. To mention the relief you felt at Ellen's lack of gay talk for sometime, I must ask you: Have you ever been closeted? Have you ever had to hide? Have you ever had to try to pass for something you're not? Have you ever been marginalized? As a kid, were you considering death as choice preferable to being who you are, and living your life, due to society's hatred, bigotry and 'fear?'

I am Canadian as well and a politician like kerns would not last here. We do have some idiots in power but we also have a little thing called separation between church and state. Here, I'm lucky enough to be legally married to a beautiful woman. In the U.S. 'separation between church and state' is beginning to look like an ideal type. (Look it up.) Well said, to those of you who indicated that kerns and people like her appear to be the biggest threat to your nation, and to the world at large.

I'd like to recall Matt Shepard, Aaron Webster, and Lawrence King ... In their name, we have to stop this ridiculous hate. Let their message not be in vain.

Not to fuel the fire... but.

First: I left my name Anonymous because.. does it matter what my name is? I could've said my name was Helen, or Andrea, or June, or Hazel, or Mary. I'm still behind a keyboard... and I would've had the same accusation.

Second: Please don't call me a hater. It's slanderous. I explained I wasn't already. One of my dearest friends is gay. I love her the same. Just because I don't agree with a way of life, or believe it's a healthy way to live.. doesn't mean I hate someone.

Third: I also explained, I don't doubt that people are born gay. (I called it a "genetic issue.") I compared it to being born with other genetic tendencies.. addiction.. athleticism.. being very smart.. all genetic. Some good, some not so good.. no reason to hate anyone. But it doesn't make it right.

Fourth: I don't know what Kerns said about God.. or how she used God to back up her statements, but there are several references in the bible where God is clear about homosexuality. The civilizations that were destroyed in the bible all had embraced homosexuality.. individualism.. they were all "free" and living for what felt good.. or natural.. or whatever. See Babylon.. see Sodom and Gomorrah.. see the empire of Rome.. see the pattern.

Fifth: The War. The Middle East. If you want to know why there's a war going on over there.. read the bible. Even atheist scholars believe the bible is an historical record. There's a reason it's been around for 2000+ years.. that it's the most published work ever. If you don't read it for your own religious beliefs, at least read it to understand why there is a war in the Holy Land.. and why a Christian leader like Bush would put his troops there. If you can't understand the Christian-eze of it, there's a translation out there called "The Message." It's written in today's language.. uses phrases that we use today. Read Genesis (the first book, "the beginning" of it all) and compare our country to Babylonia. If you don't read it for the historical value, read it for the literature value. Any high school literature teacher will tell you.. there are SO many books written with some kind of reference to the bible... whether it be in plain sight, like a scripture verse, or whether it be allegorical.

Sixth: Some of you accuse me of being hateful.. saying hateful things. Are not the words you use against me (and Kerns for that matter) horrible and hateful things? It is possible to share opinions without being offensive or rude. I've done my best not to be rude or offensive. I haven't called anyone names.

Seventh: You are right. People are ignorant. And justice will be served.
