30 Seconds to Air

The audience is applauding wildly as the show is about to start. Little do they know that their host, Ellen DeGeneres, is standing right behind them. Ellen loves to freak the audience's freak. In fact, there's a chance that she's standing behind you right at this moment. No, don't turn around! What if Ellen has snuck up on you and is standing right behind your chair? What are you going to say to her? Think about it for a second. Do you hear any breathing? Are the hairs on the back of your neck tingling right now? Okay, you can turn around... what, she's not there anymore? We all know that Ellen is as quick as a ninja. She probably had to get back to her studio because right now she's got a show to do. There's only... 30 Seconds to Air.

Your program's not telecast to Venezuela? Is there a way in which we might place Chavez on the U.S. ballot come November? Maybe the man's on to something!

Positive thing for Ellen is, people like my sister have been watching her for years. Downside is, my sibling's homosexual, she's presently in her third "marriage" at age 56 (she and her second ex went at each other with baseball bats two days before the "divorce" was finalized 14 years ago), and she's regularly attended psychological counsel since 1984. (It's probably unnecessary for me to say that my good sister's psychologist is herself homosexual, as are her medical practitioner-partner-feminists and their booming clientele.)

Ellen - IDEA FOR A SHOW.
I agree with the principal who posted a comment. I have been teaching for 15 years and my perfect mother taught for 40 years. (She really is wonderful, as are you.) At any rate, the common parent thinks that teachers have teachers aides to help with grading and entering (we don't) and MOST people think how lucky we are that we have summers off and are off at 3 pm. PLEASE SOME SHOW LOOK AT WHAT A TEACHER DOES IN A DAY! GET RID OF SOME OF THESE FALSE IMPRESSIONS! Show parents what they need to do and what we can't do. There really is a disconnect. Educators post grades on websites now and all school work is posted on a web page daily. Who do they think does all that?
I love my students and parents but there isn't an "Education about education" for the general population anymore.
All my best and bless you for all you do!
Stacey

Ellen~
McCain embarrassed himself...I am a heterosexual that took 9 years to get married. I have been with my husband (who is 20years older than me) for the past 17 years...( I was 19 when I met him) I guess I am a cross between Jerry Springer and Dr. Phil's best show. But...what I know...love comes in many shapes, sizes, ages, sexes, and colors! GO FOR IT ! I love watching you...via TV or INTERNET. You are my 6 am waking laughter and my 11 pm bedtime chuckle. May you always have the joy you give to others ! I THINK YOU ROCK !

Ellen,
I am an elementary school principal and also taught school for 12 years. On your show tonight you were talking about the terrible situation for starving dogs in Puerto Rico. You said that one of the solutions would be to let the teachers teach this to kids in school. I need you to know that teachers have been asked to take on the role of raising children rather than teaching them how read, write and compute. I do agree that someone needs to help our children learn how to be caring and competent citizens but teachers can't do it all and particularly in a world where they are not given the resources to do it. Spend a week in a classroom. Live the life of a caring teacher for a while and see what they see. The answer??? Provide public schools with adequate funding to provide day long care for students with very highly qualified specialists at the K-3 level and focus on social skills, learning skills and healthy living opportunities. I guarantee we will save the money at the other end including saving starving dogs because people didn't care.

Ellen, I am a Flight Attendant. When I am off work I literally plan my day at home around watching you do your monologue and dance. (I really MUST get a life). Why on some days do you straddle the table and some days not? When you don't straddle the table, I'm like, "Man, she didn't staddle the table today" (back to the getting a life part)! Are you taking the coffee table to the new studio? Really though, you make me laugh out loud every day. Thanks for being who you are.
