My fiancee Rachel Karkanica has commented over and over again to try to win on your. I have one thing to say is if one woman deserves this it would be her. She has been so independent her whole entire life after her mother leaving her with her 4 sister as she took of at the age of 18 she raised her 3 younger sister and 1 older got a job and graduated from highschool. After years she had finally had the chance to go back to college after the birth of our second child. She goes to school everyday and then to work non stop and had never had the oppurtunity to have a break for the last 8 years. We have little money and in todays economy it is hard to get a break. but i have never met a woman that works so hard over and over again. I not trying to win this for me i trying to win this for the love of my life. And maybe someday we can come and see your show. Heck maybe we can do it for our honeymoon when ever we can afford to get married. Have a greatday.

Yes, Renee is correct! It is the American Country Music awards in Las Vegas on May 18, 2008 @ 8 pm. I thought about this also as I laid in bed last night unable to sleep. Congrats Renee for catching the bloop in the contest!

First, I believe it is the ACM's, not CMA's as those take place in Nashville in November! I'm sure Ellen is talking about the Academy of Country Music Awards show that is in Las Vegas and they call that the ACM's! That's all I wanted to say, since I noticed that little error I think I should be Ellen's guest so I can make sure all her country facts are correct!!! Don't want her looking silly! I'm here for you Ellen.

I really think anyone who wants to go, should be able to, but I also am realistic and know that will not happen. I looked online for ticket info, and OMG!!!! the price was unbelievable!!!!
I wrote you awhile back about my housing situation, and have since resolved it. As of May 12, I(my kids) will be living with a friend, and the bank will assume ownership of my manufactured 4 bedroom home. Needless to say I was unable to save it from foreclosure. But since we are strong we will survive this and get a home of our own again soon.
Usually I am the one who always helps someone else, with a pay it forward motto. But this time I am asking for myself. I managed to find a sitter for the kids, and my boyfriend surprised me with a "get away from the stress" vacation to Las Vegas! We will be in town from May 14-19 and that is when the awards are in town. I know that Randy Owens is doing a free concert on Freemont St.
Since I was a very young child I have been a fan of Country Music. Now, I know I am just one of many asking for this chance, but since I JUST turned 49 in April, I still have two generations(my daughter and my grandson) to raise and my first great grand baby is due in June!, ON TOP of becoming homeless for the second time in 16 years. I really would love to have my wish come true!!! I cannot afford $800 for a ticket, and I am just so thrilled to be in the same town as everyone with their talent and gift of music.
So if you are able to choose me, you know you would be granting a lifetime wish! Thank You for even having a section to win from your show, which we love to watch and we laugh with you every week day.

Hey Girlfriend WHATZ UP??? OH my god going to the country music awards would be the bomb, we lost our dad in 88 and my siter (who is younger) had been taking care of our sick mom she was on dylasis 3 days a week and had heart problems and also kidney problems was on oxygen and had alot of rough days my sister did it all ran her here and there back and forth changed bandages gave her showers feed her (she was only 65) and then in December mom fell and broke her pelvis getting a popsicle to sooth her throat, the next day my sister went to coach her varsity swim meet came to the hospital and mom was almost gone had had a heart attack at 6 pm and was gone by 11:56 p.m. my sister is taking it very hard as she lived with mom and did it all. She absolutely loves country music has seen Rascal Flats 9 times, Kenny Chesney 5 and has been to tons of other concerts to see all her favorite artists. It would be awesome for me as a sister to give her this gift as a thank you for what she did for mom but she could see all her favorites up close and for once wouldn't have to buy the ticket!!!! We have become very close and she could use some fun time away from the house (she still lives in the house she shared with mom which is tough). She is my hero and now best friend so Ellen could you send her she deserves a break after all she's been through these last two tough years. We watch you every day and laugh constantly you are such a motivator and do gooder you are loved by many all over the world and I hooe you are still making us laugh when you are 80.
