Who's That with Ellen?

Answer: Annette Bening.

Annette played Dan Akyroyd's wife Kate in "The Great Outdoors." Annette's first television break was in an episode of "Miami Vice."

Annette played a real estate agent in "Regarding Henry," "American Beauty," and "What Planet Are You From?"

Annette was originally slated to play Tess Coleman in "Freaky Friday." At the last moment, she was unable to commit to the project and was replaced by Jamie Lee Curtis. Kelly Osbourne also dropped out of the movie for personal reasons and was replaced by Christina Vidal.

Hi Ellen,first of all, this comes to you with wishes for a long and beautiful life for you and Portia, and may that life be filled with the same joy and happiness you felt on that beautiful day! I have to say I would love to be part your 12 days of christmas giveaway ,but even more than that honestly I would love to meet you Ellen,not as Ellen the celebrity but Ellen the person, with the heart of gold , the caring ,giving,to people in need person.the person I can honestly say makes me laugh so hard sometimes I feel like I'm going to pee my pants!! I try to tell my husband what happens on your show , he's at work when your on ,and we don't have TiVo but you know what, it just is'nt as funny coming from me.So we end up watching some videos on your web site.Well I don't have a tragic story to tell you, I am just a mother I have 3kids, 2 grandchildren,1, 13 yrs and 1, 23 months ,and that little guy and his mom live with us . I have 18 yr old senior in high school. So like I said tragic no, stressfull OHHH YEAH!!!extremly kaotic you bet! could I use a break? you have no idea! now a break that would allow us to come to you is pretty much impossible,so if there,s any way you could consider including us in your show,that would be just amazing but if you can't I understand. I know you get 1000's of these every day .I would LOVE to be able to thank you in person but if not THANK YOU JUST FOR BEING YOU AND DOING WHAT YOU DO!!!!

Dear Ellen: HALA! I am doing my "bucket list", you know the things you want to do before you "kick the bucket" right like the movie. 1. go to Sweden visit relatives while they are still alive. 2. go to Key West Florida, looks so nice there. 3. the impossible win/save enough money to do these things. 4. come and see the Ellen Show. but would have to do #3 first. oh well. i can still dream. thank you so much for all of the laughs and making our day. we watch you at 9:00 in the morning right after two hours of the Today Show. again, thanks to you and your staff for giving myself and my husband lots of laughs. kathie and butch zarthar, bangor maine

I'm another one of your biggest fans... I absolutely love your show. Hopefully one of these days I'll be able to join you up on that stage for a dance... I also love the array of guest that you have appearing on the show especially the children. I hope that we get the chance to see more of your guest dance when they come onto the set. Hey Ellen HORRRRAY!!! on your 800th show i know you have heard that quite a lot in the past few days!!

Nicollette Sheridan was great to have on your show!!She is so funny like you and she brought up funny things from the past on the perfect day! It shows her true personality instead of her acting one in Desperate Housewives that I only see her on cause I watch that every Sunday, when it was on!

I thought that was kinda(just a little!) funny how kids were so worried and stuff about the magic trick that Neil Pattrick Harris(spelling?)put on. I think you should have showed how or at leat that there was nothing to it even though you didn't know people were going to react the way they did. I watched a magic show recently that showed how they do all those tricks, but not the one where they (cut) their head off.

You should have invited David Beckam to dance with you then maybe he would have taken his shirt off and we could have seen his abs better, we didn't see a good front view!lol

well i know you love animals alot and people from the rest of the United States, since I live in Alaska, think that when we do our sled dog races that the dogs are abused,which they aren't. The man that has won i think two years at least in a row he loves his dogs so much even though they had an accident this year with a snowmachiner but he takes care of them! you should come to Alaska!big trip uh?You could hang out with the sled dogs and see the amazing and dangerous (a little) route they have to travel. Maybe check sled dog racing, alaskas ultimate sport out!it happens in like february.

one more thing, have you talked to Jesse Metcalf, another hot guy in a while!!? he is(used) to be on desperate housewives too.do you watch that show?you are always talking about american idol and the bachelor but not desperate housewives.

And lifehouse, Jason Wade.I ahve been hearing their songs on some big shows finales latley!!

Hi Ellen!
Well, you are truly amazing! You done so much for so many. The thing I like most is the fact that are human, too, by shedding some tears along with the laughter moments. My daughters and I were suppose to fly all the way out to your show last year. I finally graduated from college (age 56), but I work with special education children and it would have been during our ISTEP testing period. I didn't feel I could take the time off to come have fun with you while "my kids" were back here testing their little hearts out. I figure I still get to laugh and cry (and sometimes wet my pants) each day watching you do what you do best...making people forget life's problems. Here's to another 800 shows.
P.S. I absolutely love it when you have children on the show!!! Have you ever thought about an Art Linkletter type of segment...Kids Say the Darndest Things? What a way to brighten someone's day...out of the mouths of babes, you know? I say it is definitely your cup of tea.

Hi Ellen! It's me again, Vaughn! I've written to you before about other things, but this time is to celebrate you, for your show. Congradulations on the 800th show, it was funny as usual! I hope you continue to make us laugh for another 800 and more! I am a huge fan and I record everyday on my DVR, and watch every show, everyday. I love what you do to help people out and your love for animals is beautiful. We can tell you have a huge heart for all living beings. That is just one of the things I love about you as a person and a celeb. I just hope one day I can meet my favorite talk show host and favorite celebrity. Watching your show today (800) Congrats!!!!! Reminded me of how often you make me laugh,two of my favorite are the first time you talked to Gladys and most recently dancing with Chris Matthews. Dear Ellen, Im sitting here trying to think of all the words that can describe such a strong woman, intelligent,funny,caring,overall a absolutely a great person, whom has alot of love to give and you do you open your arms welcoming everyone to your show.Which I have to congratulate you on your 800th show, may there be many more to celebrate about, I dont know if you can come to NYC but if you can it will mean everything to me, but I don't think I can go because of my age. hey ellen. this is roberta and kim from middletown, ohio, the eighth wonder of the world. congrats on your 800th show. we here in middletown have just completed our 800th baby being born saying, "who's my daddy?" too late for income tax and too late for birth control. too light for aj and bp to american for madonna. too young for hillary and too dark for obama. in conclusion, now that everybody knows that i'm here, stop the baby's mama drama. start the bidding millionaires donald trump here's away to put some color in your life, give my daddy a job(he only claims me if he's employed) and give ellen some giggles on her 800th show.she bangs, she bangs, thats how she got me, she sang, she sang, with that wrinkled body.
