Who's That with Ellen?

Answer: Allison Janney.

Allison planned on becoming an Olympic skater until she accidentally ran blindly through a glass door and was severely injured.

Allison was discovered by Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward while acting in a play, directed by Newman, at Kenyon College, Ohio. They encouraged her to head to New York City after graduation in order to study at the Neighborhood Playhouse.

Allison's first roles in television were on “As The World Turns” as the character “Vi Kaminski,” and on “The Guiding Light” as the maid “Ginger.”

I live in england and i get to watch the show when i get home from my six-form colledge at 6pm because i sky plus it every day. you have been an insperation to me and i want to thank you for being a funny person who always makes me laugh.

Hi Ellen and all of your assistants,

Just a quick hello! You make my day everytime I watch you. Since I TVo you I see all you shows but somtimes they are all on Saturday. You are an amazing women and I am proud to say even without knowing you that I consider you a friend.

Thanks for being a friend to everyone who watches you and feels better for it. Say hi to all our friends out their since all of us are actually a family. We are Ellen's TV family and I am sure they are as proud to say they love you as much as I do.

Here's hopping that one day I get to meet you and some of our TV Family.

I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your show! I work days so I record your show every day. After a stressful day I come home and watch your show an laugh so much, you put me in a much better mood! Thank you for all the generous things you do for people. You've got the best talk show on television as far as I'm concerned.

Ellen, i never get to see you show dayli since i work a the time that you show is rolling, but i taped, and i get to see the show in my days off, I thank you for make my day so easy you are one of the cain, I know I never go to wing any price but you show is better that wing a price.

I was on MSN.com and saw some tabloid story about there being a contest between you and Tyra Banks for the afternoon DIVA. She has nothing on you......believe me. She isn't even in the same race. Someone most have been really bored to try and think of a story of comparing your show with hers.
From fact - as my niece was on the show - her makeovers and etc. are false. She had my niece lying on t.v. and falsifying the background info she used for a makeover.
I was never a fan, but now I have no respect for her.
You are the best thing that has happened to daytime show. Of course, I have to work so I tivo everything ---- but I can't go to sleep without watching your program.

hi ellen i wanted to let you know how i like your show i watch when i am sick with cancer and i like how you make others happy when you help them out with what ever they need i also like how you care so much about them you even call then just to talk to them my problem is my mom used to have a car to take her to work and to take me to the doctor but now she cant do that her car blow up so we have to walk every where even now since we have movied here to florida where you do need a car badly my mom needs a break she is a very good mom she has done alot for me even got me a puppy who helps me when i am sick i get week very easy so please help my mom make her happy again we dont have enough money for us to do any fun stuff i also write kids stories i want to have someone look at them to see if they could get published and some of the money will go to pay off my mom bills because we have so many people want to sue her badly please help her. e mail me asap and thank you for reading my note from tonya archer at cosmickcat@yahoo.com
