What's 30 Times 800?


It's Ellen's 800th show! It's the 800th time Ellen has stood backstage before her show started. The 800th last-minute check to see if her hairpiece is in place. The 800th time she's discovered a "Kick Me" sign on her back and pulled it off at the last minute. The 800th time Ellen has practiced her "She sells sea shells by the sea shore" enunciation warm-ups. The 800th chugged gin and tonic, the 800th peek to see if she knows anyone in the audience. The 800th quick cry, then laugh, then cry. The 800th time she's wiped the barbecue sauce off her hands with the curtain. It's the 800th time someone has whispered, "Ms. Degeneres, there's only... 30 seconds to air."

Congrats on the 800th show Ellen!
You rock! I watch you everyday and everyday you make my life that much better, that much more filled with happiness, and that much more hope in my life. I hope that one day i'll be able to have an 800th show that people will never get tired of.

hello ellen,

my son and i watch you every day. Today on your 800th show you showed lots of people dancing. My son who is home sick with strep throat (he is 2) danced in only a diaper to the music and the other people dancing. One of his favorite things to do is dance with you.

Way to go Ellen, 800 shows WOW. I had tears in my eyes watching all the clips from the past shows[and I had seen almost all of them originally!]You have given us all such happiness everyday and made the lives of so many people so much better--it is amazing what only one woman has accomplished. You give us something to pattern our own lives after,by looking for the good in everyone and never to take ourselves too seriously. How come my DVR says today's episode is 837?? Whenever Ellen celebrates her 600th, 700th, etc. the numbers never match!

Dear Ellen:

You make my sun shine every day. I always feel so much better after watching you and Stryker. I think Stryker is a great asset to your show--you two compliment each other well. 800 shows are a lot, imagine that's 800 lunches, 800 30 second spots behind the curtain, etc. BUT IT STILL IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!!! So you better keep on truckin.

Ellen - congrats on your 800th show. The collage with your pictures was amazing. Any chance you can put that on line so we can enjoy the pictures.

I had the opportunity to see you in Orlando and it was great. What a wonderful give you gave out.

My Wife and Daughter love your show and my Daughter has tried wining Tickets to your show. Even if she never won, she would never miss your show. My wife will never let me watch anything while your show is on, thanks for DVR cause I can record if something I need to watch later. So, they never miss your show, if is on constant daily recording
