WEDNESDAY APRIL 16TH - SUZANNE SOMERS

On Wednesday, I welcome Miss Iowa, ABBEY CURRAN. Abbey has cerebral palsy and is the first disabled participant to compete in the Miss USA Pageant. We’ll talk about the competition and what this incredibly courageous woman is planning next. Then, the last time she was on my show, her home had just burned down in Malibu. It will be good to have my friend, SUZANNE SOMERS, back under more pleasant circumstances. Suzanne has just written a fantastic book, appropriately titled, "Ageless." We'll talk about how she stays so young. I’ll bet it has something to do with her new "Face Master." Have you seen the commercials? Apparently, all you have to do to stay looking young is to hook up electricity to your face. It sounds like fun! The electricity will continue to crackle when, directly from The O.C., BEN MCKENZIE drops by to tell us about his amazing new movie, "88 Minutes." It’s getting critical raves. I’ll ask him if movie acting is any different from TV acting and what it was like working with Al Pacino. Plus, we’ll check in with our marathon-running Talent Coordinator, Megan Cooper, and see how her fund raising is going for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I found a clip of the segment with Abby Curran on "youtube". Just type in "Abby Curran on Ellen" and it will pop up.

I have a five year old son with Spastic Diplegia CP and it is so nice to see that there is hope for his future! Thanks Abby!

Several of us at Easter Seals in Peoria, IL, where Abbey received therapy, watched and cheered for Abbey on your show just as if we were there in the audience watching her in person. Abbey is a phenomenal person and has an impact on everyone she meets. We are so proud of her! Thanks for having her on your show and proving that people with disabilities can achieve the same dreams as those without.
You go, Abbey!

I think it is a joke that Susanne comes on and first tells us all about her houseburnt problems ,then commiserates how she left 3 due to
salary disputes as a result of being a woman. Are
you all still with me?After all the empathy generated, now an out of work actress wants us to buy an anti aging creme or I'm sorry,an electric shock thingie so our aging woes will be over.Gee
is she an out of work actress?I'm not really sure.

Is there a posting of today's show on this website? My 6yr old twin boys both have mild cerebral palsy, and I would love to share with them the story of Abbey Curran. We "googled" Miss Iowa and only found a few videos of her. They really want to know how she "gets around". They use walkers currently and can take a few steps on their own. It's nice for them to see people in the public eye that have disabilities like them.

Love your show. At 64 and after one of the hospital surgery horror stories, I certainly would enjoy getting rid of the aging which ensued. How can I check out more about the Face Master?

Thanks for all the laughs you've given me!!
