Viewers' Words to Live By

Do you have a motto, a quote, an adage, a catchphrase, battle cry, maxim, proverb or slogan that helps you get through the day? (Sorry, sometimes I get a little thesaurus-y.) Send it our way and we'll put it on our virtual coffee cup. If we pick your saying -- we'll send you an Ellen coffee mug!

I have 2

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I live in my own little world, leave me there.

I may have typed those within another, longer list somewhere else here, but they're my favorites. :)

My favorite saying to date:

"It took me too long to realize that I don't take good pictures because I have the kind of beauty that moves." - Ani DiFranco

I also love "Familiarity breads contempt... and children." - Mark Twain

Thanks for being you!

Last night I asked God's angels to help me. The man I was in love with and 'thought' was in love with me, told me that he never said that he was IN love with me..just in love. I have about 50 emails and notes saying how 'in love' he was when we first started the relationship last year. I cried my eyes out and asked God to help me heal and move on. Today, I don't know why I clicked on Ellen. The quote by David just jumped out at me: If you tried so hard to be with the wrong person just imagine how great it will be when the right person comes along. I believe in the Law of Attraction. Today I closed the door to heartache and have opened the door for my perfect mate to walk through. I can't wait to see what he looks like! Hope he likes to dance!!

Hi Ellen,
Just wanted to say thank you for all the laughter and wonderful moments that you have shared and given to us through your very talented, giving, compassionate, and loving television 'shows' and yes I've watched them all! You're the most gifted comedian alive, your ability to write is off the charts and worthy of all awards!

Here are two things that I really try to live by everyday, hope you like'em:

Don't do ANYTHING today that you will regret tomorrow.

Be careful of the toes you step on today they could be connected to the butt you have to kiss tomorrow!

Lots of Love,
Shaleigh

ELLEN, would you consider changing your logo to capital letters? I love your show!! Here is a motto you can say to a rising executive with a superior attitude.
"Be nice to the people on your way up... because they may be the same people you 'll meet on your way down".

Here's one I tell to my 1st graders. "Are you working hard or hardly working?"

I made this one up - "If money makes the world go around, how can I get on the ride?"

I have a few that I keep depending on my mood, here's just a few

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass -- it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Unknown

When life gets you down - just put on your big girl panties and deal with it.

Tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

What is most valuable,
is not what we have in our lives;
but WHO we have in our lives

I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok. They know me here..

I love you show and website Ellen!
