First off Ellen I love you your the best. I am truly one of your biggest fans :) I to am one of the friends that was very dissapointed during your Chicago visit :*( Although we were on stand by, me and my 3 girlfriends were completely let down due to the miscommunications from staff directing the crowd into your audience. Coming to see you is like a little kid waiting to see Santa Claus !! We stood in the rain for 7 hours with many other loving fans just to hope we could at least get a glimpse of your awesome dancing skills but we were sadly mistaken.I didnt even care about the guests!! I have been hoping for this day since I became a true fan and we even missed your entrance which is by far my favorite part. I hope your next trip to Chicago is soon and the organization skills will be a little more promising :*(

Love ,
the short friend in the back

Hello Ellen and Staff,

I'm writing because my friends I just stood outside for over seven hours in the cold and rain to see you in Chicago. The day you announced you were coming to Chicago, we registered for tickets, and within minutes of the announcment, all tickets were gone, but we were offered stand by tickets. This was fine because we understand the amount of viewers who love you in Chicago. Anyways, we got to your location by 8:30am and waited in line along with thousands of other hopefuls. This is where all the problems came about. As we stood in line, we were not told of anything that was going on until 12:20pm, and all they said then was that they would start checking people in at 12:45pm. (Even though our stand by tickets said check in would begin at 11am)When we finally got passed the "blue tents" where the check in was, we had to wait in another line to actually get to the stage area. The most disappointing thing was that the show started before the stand by people were even allowed into the stage area. We missed the enterance, the opening monolgue, and most importantly "THE DANCE". The staff that was sending us in waited until 2pm to start letting people in knowing that the show was suppose to start at that time. When we finally got there, it was standing room only and my friends and I were not tall enough to see past the huge crowd of people. Also, we were on the left side which had NO big screens to even watch you on there, all we could do was watch the REFLECTION in the NBC building from the monitor on the right side. It felt like we were listening to the radio. Because we could see anything, we ended up leaving right after the segment with Robin Williams, which we aslo couldn't see... It really sucks that we went through all of that to see you...and saw absolutly NOTHING. At least the people in the riff raff room (people who were behind us in line who were given wrist bands because they wouldn't make the "Stand By" cut)were in a warm room and had a chance to see you on tv and got some camera time. I just wish our experience could've been memorable in a positive way. I know things like this happen,I just wish all of these things didn't have to happen at one time.

VERY DISAPPOINTED,
Brittney Hicks

How do I get permission to access this, Audience Dancer of the Week? Don't get to watch your show to often, because I'm usually sleeping, I work midnights. Also, for sweepstakes, quit asking for a photo, I don't know how to put them in the computer, or to send them either, I'm computer illiterate! Thankks, Kathleen
