T Minus Ten Days to Becks and Counting

You can count the days ‘til David Beckham’s visit to my show on your fingers! (Unless you’re a shop teacher, then you may have to wait a few more days.) We can hardly wait. He’s kind of busy and he doesn’t do talk shows very often, so make sure that you don’t miss him on April 24th. Check your local listings.

Hiya Ell,

The game of soccer in N. America or 'football' in Europe is terrific. Mr. Beckham represents his sport with professionalism and class. I look forward to him visiting you.
I am of Dutch heritage and well remember 'my' favorite soccer player when I was about 12 years of age while living in the Netherlands (Holland).
His name was Johan Cruiff (sp.?) His number was 14. That was back in the late 60's. (Yep,I just turned 50 too.)
Perhaps Mr. Beckham has knowledge/awareness of a long-time-ago hero of mine. It would be swell to know.
Where was soccer invented anyway ?

Tootaloo for now, Yoka (W. Canada)

Donald and Gerrie,

great to talk to people who appreciate soccer. Greetings to the two other experts!

I have not heard of Lucca Toni but I shall google. As Gerrie and Berlina said he is good. I shall shift David out of my Top Three.

1)Cristiano Ronaldo
2)Pele
3)Lucca Toni

Give David his due he did play well for his country. To be honest I think he is past his prime with regards to football..but his modeling days have just began!! Enjoy LA.

David whas a good player but really not the best in the top three sorry Donald you have it right Berliner Lucca Toni is the best but he plays in one of the best football teams in the world Bayern Munchen and I go for two Ronaldino and three Messi from Barcalona I though when Ellen ask David on her show why not the trainer from L.A Galaxy Ruud Gullit he whas a great football player in Holland and what do you think from the ducth fans a true Hollander on the Ellen Show

Who cares?

Donald Duck,
concerning the first two in your score, I agree. But not Beckham, as the third!? The third should be Lucca Toni! Now he plays for Bayern München, but before for AC Florence. Watch him, he is a real goal getter and won the world championship (poor french guys...).
