Hmmm could if be a coincidence that Idol had its worst ratings in YEARS the week after MJ was voted off? I think not! People were disgusted at the way MJ was told he was going home. Have a little class, ya know? I don't understand how someone with the talent MJ has, the appreciation for music like MJ has, and someone who stayed true to himself, like MJ did, could have had the lowest # of votes. Oh wait... yea I can. THE PRODUCERS REALIZED THAT HE WASN'T GOING TO LET HIMSELF GET BOXED IN TO A SPECIFIC GENRE and wanted him gone. MJ has too much talent for that silly show anyway.
We love you, Michael! We will all be behind you 100% in all of your future endeavors. You are a wonderful, genuine, and humble person... I couldnt ask for more from MY AMERICAN IDOL!!! See ya on tour!

I too was banned from the Official Al Forum for 5 days. They deleted most of my Post's regarding the outrage of michael's elimination.

Everyone is upset that Michael was kicked off AI, we all have to VOTE. That is how our favorite singer stays on the show. David Cook is my favorite and I vote for him even if I am away from home. My friends text Message me his dial in number no matter where I am. So start Voting guys.
All I have to say is Ryan, you have no class! That wasn't necessary to inform Michael that way! Apologize already!
I just wanted to say that I was horrified and stared in disbelief at the screen. I couldn't believe it and furthermore, I don't believe the bit about the lowest number of votes...not for a heartbeat.
Michael is incredibly talented and has a huge fan base..there is general outrage all around the world on this..check the internet! I am in Canada and have also seen many threads on the general disbelief and disgust from people commenting on almost every site that allows comments on the subject.
I don't blame Ryan as he has to read the cue cards and I genuinely believe he has admiration and affection for Michael but the producers should be told that that was one of the nastiest things I have seen and furthermore not in the least entertaining....
They should address this on AI and Michael should be given a BIG star spot on the season finale.
He has handled himself with dignity and shows that he is really a much bigger person!!

Just want to say that Ryan was very UnAmerican and embarassing for the USA. I hope the network realizes that the viewers are what makes this show a success and Idol Gives Back will surely lose. We deserve respect and so does Michael Johns. Ryan's arragance is unacceptable! He should apologize, not only to Michael, but to all of us.
Hi Ellen; I was shocked to hear tha Michael had been voted off. And I guess this poll says it all. THANK YOU for having him on the show. Can you ask him to sing Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love" as he would have done so in the show this week? Can't believe he's gone... So depressing! I am not watching AI anymore this season...
I was absolutely appalled at how Ryan Seacrest gave both Michael and his fans a glimmer of hope only to smash his dreams. It's one of the most humiliating and disgusting things I've ever seen on any reality show. American Idol's ratings have dropped drastically in the past few weeks and their 'Idol Gives Back' was an even clearer example of those dwindling ratings. I hope that the show is boycotted until they realise they cannot play God with human emotions.
The fact that they have been banning anyone who speaks out from their official forums as well as deleting any posts regarding Michae's elimination is unbelievable! They have taken away peoples rights to freedom of speech on a PUBLIC forum! I'm so glad that I took screenshots of so many of those threads before they had a chance to delete them as I'll now send them off to every newspaper exposing how this show operates. It's disgusting and the show reeks of being RIGGED!
I totally disagree Michael should have never been voted off that was just some crazy B.S. My mouth dropped instantly and I started to cry and think why isnt Kristy going home or john cook for that matter! Love your show Ellen!!!!

Michael Johns should not have been voted off. I vote for Michael every week for 2 straight hours, and this week I could not get thru. Line always busy, that would make you think he is getting alot of votes. YOU WOULD THINK SO!!
I just posted, but I also wanted to say, the way the poll is worded: "The other 6 contestants are better."
If would be better if it said "There are one or more that are better than him." Lumping them all together gives people a choice they don't want, so end up choosing the other poll choice, which is not their true belief. Re-word it, and you will get more accurate results. (i.e. Johns' fan base is not as disproportionately large as it seems. Sorry.)
It was very disappointing to hear Michael was eliminated. But I must say the same sort of thing happens on Australian Idol,(I am from Aus)as a viewer you think the people that are brilliant will be safe and there is no need to vote,and then BAM!they're gone. Alot of the contestants that have reached the top ten in Aus idol but didn't win are very successful now, So Michael just bring it on!! Good Luck! Ellen love ya!
I am and will always be a Michael Johns fan!! What happen to Micheal Thursday night was the worst I have ever seen American Idol do to anyone...I will never watch Idol again....ROCK ON MICHAEL, WE LOVE YOU IN HANOVER,PA.
I'm beginning to think the voting is rigged too. All over the internet people are saying they couldn't get their call to go through or it would go to a wrong number. Something's off with Michael's elimination. I also hated the way Ryan treated Michael and I plan to not vote any longer. Ryan should apologize to Michael and Michael should get a record deal soon. Then life would be fair again.
I am all the way from Bangladesh...most people in the States dont even know my country but i am a huge fan of AI and I have always been disappointed by em..Bo Bice...Daughtry..McPhee and countless others! But I never once questioned AI as much as I am this time in Michael John's case! I DO plan never to watch IDOL ever again even though I doubt my opinion counts! Its da least I can do from so faraway for my IDOL!
