On Friday, Help Us Celebrate Our 800th Show!

My, how time flies. It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 798th show. I know, the show doesn't look a day over 700. And no, we haven't had had a lot of work done. It's just a lot of healthy living, and with a few exceptions, we've tried to stay out of the sun. What is the theme for the 800th anniversary? It's not paper, wood or silver... I think it might be linoleum.

Anyway, we're pulling out all the stops! You won't believe the surprises we've got lined up for our audience! Plus, we'll look at some of our all-time favorite moments and guests -- and your all-time favorite moments! Plus, we'll be premiering a big, super-special surprise, so please don't miss the party! It wouldn't be the same without you!

Wow Ellen not only is my grammar not to good, but I am abviously not a math wiz either. If your good for 3 laughs a minute and there is about 45 minutes to a show that would be 135 laughs per show, times 800 hundred shows........................................................just a minute I am looking for a calculator! 108,000 laughs. Dear Ellen,

Congratulations on #800, keep up the great television, and great philanthropic work that you do. You are a wonderful kind spirit. I love your show and have watched since it's inception. Some of my favorites, are when you and Allison Janney spar, when Sandra Bullock ate the jalapeno, and the time you hit her with the breakaway bottle. And who could forget the 1rst time you talkes to Gladys, who drinks a bit. I hope that one day I can get to California, Orlando, New York, or Chicago, so I can experience the show in person. Congtatulations, Again.

Dear Ellen,              I would like to say congratulations on your 800th show!!!  800 shows = at least 12,000 laughs. Thats figuring 15 laughs a show which is about 45 minutes long (after commercials) So the way I figure your good for 3 laughs a minute give or take a few depending on who your guest is.                            Which brings me to my favorite moment on your show. It has to be when John Travolta and yourself covered up with blankets and talked flying! Hi Ellen. CONGRATULATIONS on your 800th show. I love your show. With the talent you provide your audience it isn't surprising your show is a success. I love the phone calls to Gladys, the web videos, the "Mad" Scientist, the craziness. However my most favorite is when you had Neil Diamond on. I have loved his singing
F-O-R-E-V-E-R & I envied you so, sitting right next to him. Congrats again & I am looking forward to the next 800.

I feel so new to your show and I feel like I missed out on so much. I just started watching your show last year and I look forward to coming home to catch your show everyday. I record your show on my DVR with other shows and I have to tell you when my DVR is full the choice between you and Oprah (and I love oprah too) she will get deleted over you all the time. That's because I'm a positive person and you lift my day everyday.

hi ellen your show is the best and so are you i wish i could meet you but that wont never happen cause i live in ont canada and dont have money to ever get there i love your show ellen i have to send this from a libary cause i dont have a computer sorry for bothering you i lost my mom 4 years ago april26 i am 52 male live alone and have nothing i coach kids bowling had to quit that cuase of money problems and i have coach for along time i have to go sorry ellen for bothering you love with all my heart mwah

Hey Ellen Congratulations on your 800th show!!!

Jamie from Canada here. I would first off like to tell you Canada Loves You!!!
I watch yor show everyday and it truly brightens up my day!!!
All of my friends and family say the same thing, you are constanly being refered to about how funny you are and all the silly shenanigans on your show.

There are so many hilarious moments from your show I don't know which one to choose But, here are a few.

Everytime you ride the rollercosters at Universal your face is Priceless.

When you got fondled while dancing with Chris Matthews. Ha ha it may have been an accident but it was still funny.

The time you made Sandra bullock eat hot peppers then smashed her over the head with a bottle.

Well I know there are hundreds more to choose from but these are my favorites. I wish you all the best and can't wait to see what you have planned for another 8oo show.

Ellen happy 800th, I just want to say that because of you YOU and your show. I have made very big changes in my life! I used to use crystal meth everyday for about 5 years, then I started going to a program that offers a drop in area with a television, so Monday trough Friday from 3pm - to 5pm, because I needed to watch Oprah as well! I would come in and watch your show, in my darkness I thought I only wanted to hide; you and your show helped me to laugh until I would cry. I not only would go for my self I started a trend (most of us were homeless) a group of us would meet to watch mostly your show, cause Oprah made us cry the "men" in our group would leave????? Since the beginning of my Ellen hours, I have been clean for 3years have volunteered and have returned to workforce. Ellen because of you I strive to give to everyone I see everyday, weather it be a smile, a hello, or a simple holding the door for someone, I make it my mission to give what you have given me "the want to be a better person, and need to help others want the same!". +Saint Mother Theresa+ once said "there is greater hunger in this world, than the hunger for food; it is the hunger to be someone to somebody". WOW!!! 800 shows and still dancing. You have become a huge part of my daily routine..a day without Ellen is like a day without dancing. And I LOVE to dance.
Thanks to you, your staff, the many, many wonderful guests I find myself with a smile on my face, laughter galore and warmth in my heart. For this I say "thank you".

I have been following your career for many years now. I remember the sitcom that may have been the first one you appeared on..can't recall the name, but the one centered at a Real Estate office. I have always been fond of your "honestly funny" humor. Your HBO specials showed how you can be funny without being XXX rated. I also admire your courage in coming out, you had alot to lose, but you pushed through with the help of your family, friends and of course your loyal fans. Your daytime talk show has been a part of my daily routine from the start, it makes me smile.
I hope you can put a smile on my face for another 800 shows...and more..
