My Thought...And I Do Have One

GOOD DAYS BAD DAYS

Ever have a day when everything goes wrong? You trip over a cord and knock over the lamp, then on the way to the lamp store, you get a speeding ticket, and once you get to Lamps “R” Us -- it just closed for the night? Sometimes, when everything is going wrong you’ll hear someone say, “Oh, that’s because Mercury is in retrograde.” And then you feel better because there is a reason things have turned sour. I don’t know what Mercury in retrograde means, but at least now it’s not my fault. I used to have a Mercury and it never went into retrograde. It went into reverse and it went into the shop a lot, but it never went into retrograde. I do know this: If Mercury is rising, that means you have a fever.

My point is, you just have to accept that life is good and bad. That there’s an ebb and flow, there are peaks and valleys, there is joy and pain, sunshine and rain, Penn and Teller. It just depends on what you focus on. If you just pay attention to the bad things, everything will seem negative. If you just watched the news, you’d think nothing good ever happens. “Good evening. It’s time for the six o’clock news. Our top story tonight, everything has officially gone bad.” When you’re having a bad day, turn off the news, take a deep breath and focus on what’s good in this world. Think about puppies and rainbows and the smile that old lady gave you when you opened the door for her. ...Then, be sure to exhale and continue breathing... or it really could turn out to be a bad day.

yes its all about perspective....

case in point. Shift/change in job duties.. some take it as a personal blow.. their after me... they are bitter... look at the bad sad of change... yes we could possibly not do what we currently do anymore.. but at least we still have a job. AND... we could come out the other end better off. Not everyone is out to get you and their not holding out on you.. lie to you. Where's the trust? Where's the power of positive thinking. Yes I and 2 other people at my job were told that our jobs may be obsolete ... that is sad.. like damn.. why??? but like Ellen says.. where theirs a valley.. an eb... theirs a flow a top.. king of the hill again. Just like our stock market... we are all thinking negative and thus it will probably happen... that recession will come into being.. why ??? 'cause we all curled into our shells...we are what makes the economy... positive thinking.. we have the power to dictate what happens to us... so I'm like.. so what now what mentality and staying positive about my job... and I may like where I come out. I may grow from this. .. I will grow from this.. 'cause growth is all the time. .. the flow.. it comes and goes.. and this too shall pass.

Rock ON ELLEN!!!!

I was 2 stepping (dancing) with a friend of mine at an outside party. I had on a top that was basically strapless and tied around my neck. We were whirling around, turning, stepping, etc. and when the song ended I turned around to our mesmorized audience and smiled real big. Then I felt a draft. Looked down and my right "girl" was peeking out for all to see. I was mortified, but now every time I tell that story I start crying I'm laughing so hard.

Just thought I'd share. ;-)

that was funny and that was better than Obama's motivational speech.

Ellen,
I love your show so very much, I try not to miss it at all. My husband passed away last May 28th. I stayed in the house for about 6 months not answering the door or the phone. Then i started watching your show each day. Now i take people to the Dr. that can't drive, and go pick up groceries for people.and try to help them in some way, i am 59 years old but my kids say i don't act like i am.and i don't feel like iam. The only time i miss your show is when one of the Dr's appt. runs over and i can't get back to watch your show. But it makes me feel so good to watch your show. Don't ever STOP DANCING!!!!!. i LOVE YOUR SHOW. THANKS, LINDA REEVES

Ellen, Jim, again. Again here to talk about Casey,"the How I Wish I Could be Him" for an hour Skinner. I'm not jealous, but I know what beauty, both inwardly, with his gentle soul, and outwardly, with his Rocking Hard Beautiful Body, is. I know that his fan base is mostly female, and believe you me, I think that you & Portia would change your preference if you were only in the room with Mr. Skinner. Only kidding, 'cause you two are a perfect match, but still, imagine that Manage-a-twa. He's an unbelievable guy, and I hope you get to know that by being able to have him, alone, not with any of the others from the Supermodel, you will see what I, have been preaching so earnestly, about. I mean who else would I spend, as slowly as I type, talking about for 4.5 hours at least, about? Only Casey Skinner, Supermodel. Thanks for letting me boast about him, and love ya, Jim

Ellen, I've been reading some of the other comments, about people having bad days or life experiences, recently, in their lives and mine seem like nothing, in comparison. I know this seems like a joke, but really, the way I relieve it is to rewatch the interviews that Casey Skinner had while he was on Supermodel. Yeah, I know it won't cure cancer, nor solve world poverty or starvation, but believe it will make you laugh or at least smile, when he speaks or sings like he does, remarkably. He's a kean wit, and a refreshing sense of beautiful self. The problem he had on the show was that he was too self humbling and grateful to be able to try for a greatness that I believe he will achieve in the near future. So, have Holly, the winner on your next show, but, have a future great personality, Casey, on your show as soon as possible. He's terrific, you'll see. And if I'm wrong, you can have me on your show and embarass me in anyway you want, but I will not be wrong. Love Ya,Jim

good and bad days, mostly learning days. Dreams- what's reality. Some days are better than others. Remember to be humble. Be careful my dear one, you are in a shift. Am sending you a memory, am still here.

ellen..my outlook on life is like yours in that you take the good with the bad and accentuate the good..appreiciate what you have and look at the good things going on around you, there are many. most importantly, make sure you have laughter in your life. thats where you come into play into many people lives. thanks for giving the world your humor. it is the best gift to give anyone!! thanks for the gift you give everyday...peace. bernie

Ellen...when in Chicago I think you should have the marshmellow contest but with a twist I think the audience should have Marshmellow shooters and while the people are trying to catch the marshmellow's we could be shooting at them. Have you seen this gun....it's pretty cool. Let me know what you think....

end entry

Ellen, You know what this is about, and the reason that I'm writing so much is that the more people bug you about something/someone the more you have fun getting them cornered with the thing/person who can embarass them the most. At this time, I'd be glad to be embarrassed if you booked Casey Skinner on your show. Not that I wouldn't mind meeting him on your show, but that's too far reaching of a possibility. You don't begin to know how much seeing him helps/helped me get through some pretty trying times, lately. But, enough about me, I know that you like to have new rising stars or interesting personalities on your show, and Casey is both and more. He's humble ,like I've said, but also a delight to listen to when he speaks. He's unbelievable and outstanding, and oh, did I mention Gorgeous beyond words. He's Casey Skinner, dammit, and you need to get him on your show, NOW. James

Hi Ellen,

I am delighted with your commentary about good and bad days, particularly suggesting a re-direction away from the ‘horrible and grotesque deaths of the day’ (the evening news.) Although Jon Stewart’s 'The Daily Show' is an exception because he makes me laugh at the incompetence of the people currently in charge of the government matters at hand without scaring me.

When I’m having a bad day and have time, I try to stimulate endorphins, the “morphine within.” The pleasurable activities that release endorphins by your body are laughter, sexual activity, exercise and some foods, such as chili-peppers. There are other activities that release endorphins, but they involve pain and I wouldn’t recommend them.

Another angel is to think of a bad day as a way to keep a perspective on all of the great things about life, love and the dream of pleasurable bliss for all.

My conclusion is that humor and not taking myself too seriously are the key factors involved in taking charge to make my day a better one. I think that this attitude also effects everyone around us towards being happier and not letting a bad day get the best of them.

And Ellen, you stimulate my endorphins every time I see your show!

Thanks, man!

Again it is only minutes since I posted my last blog, but it's concerning the man that should have won Make Me A Supermodel, but didn't, Casey "The Hot Bod" Skinner. He, in case you didn't know, is among other things, a Buddhist. I don't know if that is what make him so unbelievably charming, but when others were rhude, no actually obnoxious to each other , he never seemed to have anything bad to say about the others. He's cleverly wicked with his humor(catch the faux Rolling Stones Magazine cover he created to impress his fans on his MYSPACE). He's a genious, that you must talk to on your show, really soon, 'cause if you do you'll have many more fans then you already do. He inspires all that get to know him. He's an insiration and not bad looking , either. He's Casey Skinner, a force of the universe to recond with. Please get him booked. Thanks, Jimbo

Ellen, Three in a row. Again, this is his same fan , asking you, no pleading you to have HOT BOY, Casey Skinner on your show. Yes I know there were other contestants that were finalist on that show, but he was the all time best of them all. Just watch some of the clips from the show. What you'll see is the only one that stood out from all the rest from the very beginning was Casey. He's a kind gentle soul with killer good looks, and a charming wicked sense of humor. In other words, he's like a male version of you, only much hotter looking to his gay fans. So, not that you'll probably do it, but to make this quickly aging, in 26 hours exactly, 55 year old man, very, very, very, very, very happy, please book Casey Skinner on your show before he's too busy to do anything but tantalize his fans with his shear brilliance. Thanks Ellen,Jim

Ellen, Again this is Jim, I only posted this about Casey "the wonderboy" Skinner, only moments ago. You have to know, that I never did blogging or anything like this until the first time I saw Mr. Skinner. He is gorgeous to look at,wonderful to listen to him speak, and the kind of person that lights up a room with his mere presence. I know that I overwelmed the message blogs with my opinions of this young man, but, even though I have never met him in person, just to see him on the show brought comfort and peace to what has recently become a caotic life that I am living. I know that I sound like someone who must be his agent, promoting him in anyway I can, but, I have never met him, just got to know him thru the Supermodel show and came to love him for the personable, beautiful young man that he is. So, please if there is any way you can book him, believe me you won't be disappointed. Finally, I'm shocked, 'cause the comments go through on your blogs way faster than they ever did on the Supermodel show. Again, your the Greatest, Ellen.

I know all about a day when everything goes wrong. Actually a few years where everything keeps going wrong. I am grateful for each day though because everyday I wake up means I am still here and I know one day things have to turn around. I have three kids including my 10 year old neice(my sister passed away). My 43 year old hubby just got laid off in January after 16 years, he never even called in sick one day. Then about a month ago literally 2 days before he was supposed to start a really good job he had a heart attack and had a 5 artery bypass. No money, no health insurance, no job, we've had years like that. But you know what, I know like the post above there are peaks and valleys, good and bad, and everything happens for a reason. My husband has another purpose in life because he is alive. Watching your show Ellen makes me smile even when I am so sad. Thanks for being you.

Ellen: While I'm one of your biggest fans, I didn't until yesterday get to see you much, because of my work schedule. But, since I'm laid off now, I get to see you every day. I saw on your previews, that tomorrow you have Holly from Make Me A Supermodel. And not to dicredit her, 'cause she did win, in my opinion, and that of his many followers, even now, you need to book Casey Skinner the hottest contestant that was on that show. He's personable, easygoing, has a wicked sense of humor, and is possibly one of the most gorgeous individuals on the face of the Earth. Not that I'm a big fan, but every thing that he has done since being wrongly voted off the show has turned to gold. Did I mention, that he is also a terrific singer. I know that you get thousands of letters and e-mails, daily, but please make a man happy, that just turned 55 on the 9th of April, and grant me my one birthday wish, have him as one of your guest, as soon as possible. "Cause if you don't, in the near future you'll miss the chance to showcase a rising star that I believe will be one of the brightest ones to come into view. He's terrific. If you or one of your people read this, I hope that you are able to book him, because he has a wide fanbase that love to see him. Thanks Ellen, and love ya, Jim P.S. If you want to know how much of a fan I am as well as thousands of others, my blogs are the multitude of ones under his name for Supermodel and in the outzone.com ones under Jim,James,Jimbo,or the like, for his name, again under Supermodel Blogs. Thanks

Good days and bad days, but how do you come "out" and be true to yourself, not having the courage my conversation is pleated with standard phrases at work about what I did/do, however, I do agree that the good overcomes the bad, I enjoy watching your show (although you are still Freaking out in February) and your website gives me such pleasure to read and watch.

There are many good people in this world and we should all take comfort in that, I see that in your shows and in America as a whole.

I hope that Hilary Clinton wins the race to your White House, from a far it seems to me that the Democrats are more tolerante of social care and infrastructure.
