My Thought...And I Do Have One

SPRING CLEANING
Spring has definitely sprung. It’s warm here on the lot. The sky is blue. Jay Leno is wearing a beautiful bonnet. I love spring because it’s the one time of year that my obsessive cleaning is celebrated and encouraged. For spring cleaning, you’ve got to decide what you’re going to clean and then get a cleaner specifically formulated to do your job. There’s a different cleaner for tile, there’s one for wood, one for floors. And once you pick a product, you still have more choices. You have to decide what you’re trying to get rid of. “Well, should I eliminate odors and keep the mildew? Or I could get this one and get rid of the soap scum, but keep the bacteria?” They even have cleaners for each individual part of the bathroom. One for bathroom counters, a different one for the sink, the toilet bowl, the bath basin. What ever happened to good ol’ elbow grease and bleach? I don’t mean to be preachy, but can I get an “Amen?”

I love to clean. Once I start cleaning, I can’t stop. First, I’ll mop down everything. Then I’ll wax, then, the polish, then I’ll really get in there and clean out the cracks with a Q-tip. Then, I’ll get my tweezers out so I can get rid of any tiny spec of imperfection. And finally, my eyebrows are done.

HI ELLEN,
SAW YOUR SHOW WITH DR. DYER THE OTHER DAY, AND WAS IN TOTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE GIVING ASPECT OF HIS CONVICTIONS. ALL MY LIFE I HAVE GIVEN TO OTHERS AROUND ME, WHETHER IT BE FINANCIALLY, A FRIEND IN NEED, COOKING A MEAL (MY PASSION) OR BASICALLY LISTENING AND REMEMBERING SOMETHING IN THEIR THOUGHTS OR WISHES AND MAKING IT HAPPEN FOR THEM. I FEEL SO GOOD AND GET SO MUCH JOY FROM THESE EXPERIENCES AND TRULY DON'T EXPECT OR WANT ANYTHING IN RETURN, NOT EVEN CUDOS FOR WHATEVER IT IS I DID. I NEVER TOOK COMPLIMENTS OR THANKS WELL. I WAS ALWAYS EXCITED ABOUT THE ANTICIPATION OF THE RECIPIENTS REACTION AND THAT WAS ALL I NEEDED!! I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO WRITE MY WHOLE STORY HERE, BUT TAKING CARE OF BOTH MY PARENTS IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS OF THEIR LIVES WAS PROBABLY THE GREATEST GIFT I COULD HAVE EVER GIVEN TO ANYONE IN MY LIFE BECAUSE IT WAS THEIR WISH TO BE AT HOME AND EVEN THOUGH IT HAS PUT MY LIFE INTO A PLACE I CAN'T SEEM TO RECOVER FROM, I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WATCHING YOU NEARLY EVERYDAY HAS BECOME ONE OF THE LAST FEW REMAINING HIGHLIGHTS OF MY LIFE. YOU ARE SO INSPIRATIONAL AND SO FUNNY TO ME AT THIS POINT IN MY BAD TIMES, THAT I WISH I COULD "HANG OUT" WITH YOU MORE OFTEN TO FEEL THAT GOOD FOR MORE THAN JUST AN HOUR A DAY!! BUT, I AM GRATEFUL FOR EVEN JUST THAT TIME......
SINCERELY AND WITH MUCH GRATITUDE,
JO ANN FORONJY

I thought it was pretty despicable that during a horrible food shortage epidemic (where almost half the world cannot feed itself-- look at the news) you took it upon yourself to dump and waste enough food to feed 30 people (or more).

I don't usually comment on any show, and I don't expect anyone to read this... I just thought this was really sad. You support charities and say you love people, yet you don't think about the weight of your actions.

You said shame on the person who took that guys baseball? Well, no, Ellen: Shame on YOU.

I watch Ellen every day and just love it. It starts my day off in such a pleasant way. Anyway, today she said her mother corrected her grammar. Now I listen to her every day and think she has pretty good grammar, but there is one minor faux pas that Ellen makes that many people do, but I thought she would want to know. She says "and also" together a lot. They mean the same thing and never should be used together, use one or the other, not both together. I don't want to hurt Ellen's feelings, but if the time is right, would you pass this on to her? I think she's wonderful, but thought she might like to know this is one small grammatical error she makes a lot. Thank you so much. Nancy (not quite as old as her mother, but a mother anyway!)

This was well timed, I have just appeared from the shower, lovely and clean. Going to throw my hand puppet into the washing machine, I adore my washing hand puppet..I still have the frog one, though I have seen another one in the shops that has taken my fancy. I think it is a purple bear. Will check that out over the weekend. I do have another hand mitt, but that is rather rough, it is suppose to erase the dead cells away, I use my gel grit for that. It is good. I used it on my face by accident and got grit in my eye, not very clever, I nearly tumbled out of the shower trying to find the towel.
