Anyone who thinks that Barack Obama has a decent stance on gay rights is either uniformed or lying to themselves.
Hillary has always been a terrific advocate for the GLBT community. The first first lady to march in a pride parade, she was at the forefront of ending that evil constitutional amendment in 2004 that would have banned gay marriage.
While Barack says he doesn't feel that there is a difference between denouncing and rejecting controversial support. When he will denounce and reject people like Farrakhan, but will only denounce people like Donnie McClurkin. Obama sought out McClurkin's support, and DM would tell crowds at South Carolina Obama events that "god cured me from the curse of homosexuality"! And when the South Carolina Gay and Lesbian Pride Movement asked Obama to reject DM and remove him from his tour, Obama did not, and just released a statement denouncing him.
And now Obama is not talking to GLBT newspapers. In Ohio, he didn't, Hillary did. In PA, a major gay paper just asked to interview both of them, the only person who responded was Hillary, so they ran a picture of Hillary and her interview, and BO and a blank page.
As a gay man, I could never support Barack Obama for anything, given the two-faced nature of his dealings with the GLBT community. For starters.

Hilldog-

Watching this clip made me cry... because you are willing to be that stateswoman that says "No, that isn't fair or right. I'll do something to fix it." It's not everyday that you hear highly ranked public officials come out in support of gay rights and do so in a manner that is professional, heartfelt and sincere. If I wasn't already behind you 100%, now its 200%! I'm sending this on to everyone I know!

Ellen I am so disappointed with your Hillary Clinton interview.

Out of the 2 democratic candidates Barack Obama has been the one one out front on this issue from his days in Illinois Legislator. Do your homework! Hillary followed Barack on this issue as she normally does after he addressed the question of gay rights at a townhall meeting last week. He has and will continue to fight for equal rights for ALL citizens of this country! If you need a reminder on how the Clinton's view gay rights educate yourself on the Don't Ask Don't Policy. Also when you consider all of her fabrications of late I would not put much stock in the story regarding her parents and the gay couple.

Her healthcare plan is a mandate which will force people to buy health care or be fined. Tell me if you already can't afford it how is this helpful?

On the Bosnia lie. Your a smart woman Ellen, how could you let her get away with that crap! If I was under snipper fire I would remember it. A mistake is subsituting salt for baking soda. This was a blatent calulated lie repeated again and again to bolster her claim of experience over Barack Obama.

More Hillary Lies you might want educate yourself on:

NAFTA LIE- She supported it during Clinton years first lady schedule proves it
NAFTA-GATE - They gave the wink wink to Canada not Obama Canadian goverment supports this
FLMA - She was not involved in this the bill was signed days after her husband took office
SCHIP - she had no direct involvement ask Ted Kennedy
IRELAND - She had tea with the ladies no peace talks involved check it out for yourself
HOSPITAL LIE - No pregnat woman was denied care for her inability to pay. Hospital, family and boyfriend speak out
Latest Mark Penn and The Columbian free trade agreement

I am so tired of women just wanting a woman president they are willing to overlook disturbing charater flaws with this woman. For the love of God I do not udertand how anyone could continue to beleive anything she says!

I am more than willing to vote for a woman worthy of the predidency but this one is not it! She is a disgrace and liar!

Totally agree with Hillary, same sex couples should have the same protections in society today, but can't help wondering... really a true story? - seems like Hilary has a story for every occasion!! God this election has turned me into such a cynic!

ELLEN
PLEASE ENDORSE HILLARY!
IF YOU RECALL, BILL CLINTON WAS THE PRESIDENT WHO SAID THE MILITARY COULDN'T DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE'S CHOICES.

Bravo to Hillary, who is willing to stand up and take a position on potentially contensious issues, such as gay rights, even if it may not win her the popular vote. While Mr. Obama says he'll bring change and that he's a different kind of politician, he continues to show that those really are "just words" - he'll do and say whatever it takes to get elected - what's different about that? Hillary has proven time and again, even before she officially joined the political arena, that she will fight for the right to liberty and equality and for those less fortunate. She has a unique blend of insight, wisdom, empathy, courage and conviction that makes her undoubtedly the best candidate for President.

Thank you Hillary,
For stepping up as the only candidate to address to issue of gay rights. Both Obama and McCain declined the interview from the newspaper Philadelphia Gay News.
This is my opinion:
Same-Sex Civil Unions is passable in Congress, but not Gay Marriage because "Marriage" has a religious theme to it.
And one more thing.
I said this before, because I believe the most qualified for the job to be President of the United States is Hillary Clinton :"A country is only as strong, as its leader.Leader that cares, about all the people. and the issues. And who can bring allies together."
Thank you,
Michele

Dear Ellen,

Thank you for discussing this very important issue with Hillary Clinton, the next President of the United States.

John

Ellen, Ellen, Ellen: The world loves you and gives you much credit in being very smart; however you played right into Hillary's hand, when you stated you were supporting her on the Gay Rights issue. Must I remind you, Hillary has been a Senator for the last seven years and has done absolutely nothing nor has even introduced anything that could encourage action on such a bill. Hillary is a professional double talker and can bring up a story about a neighbor who also was gay as a means of caressing you with what she knew you wanted to hear; much like her dodging bullets in Bosnia. There are more reasons to not vote for her, then there are to even consider supporting this candidate. Not; that it is NOT an important cause, for which it is, but do not expect any thing from her. She just is not Presidential material. It is more important to her, to be the "first female president" then it is to support the causes the people want.

I am not a registered voter, but I believe in Hillary. We need health care looked at very deeply, I believe in the hopes she can & will be able to help in this. I have asthma & I couldn't pay my doctor bill because of a layoff & now I have to find another doctor. I can't be without my inhalers (I need 3) and to go to another physician is going to be tough. I am in a union shop with hopes of being called back, but even then, my Advair & Singulair are $30 a piece plus my Albuterol is $10. $70 a month & if I happen to have the money, my nasal inhaler is another $10.00. If I don't go back, I cannot afford any of these medictions. I have been down to just my Albuterol, which, w/out insurance, is $26. I need them all, but cannot afford them. I am so lookig forward to hearing great news about help on health care. I hope this will be in the for-front of our future. I have been hospitalized twice because of my condition, if it happens again, I will be w/out help. I hope you can spread my respect and admiration to Senator Clinton and, if I could, I would be voting for her!!!!! God Bless!!!!

Everyone complains about the "don't ask, don't tell, don't pursue" military policy. But I remember what it was like before that policy! Two words "witch hunt"! I also remember that President Bill Clinton within the first 100 days of his presidency tried to get rid of the whole ban on gays in the military. He literally pen & ink changed the policy to allow gays. However, with a majority of republicans in congress over ruled him. the policy we have now was a result of him negotiating on gays behalf to have some movement for gays in the military. Now it's time for another Clinton... the smarter, brighter, prettier one to finish the job. I have been waiting for Hillary to run for president for a long time and I just know she will make us all proud to be Americans again no matter who we are.

Thank you, Hillary and Ellen for showing your support for equality. I really do not know why anyone cares who anyone else loves (as long as two sentient adults are involved). It's sad that people don't think about the things they believe. My wife/partner and I just gave birth to a baby in January. She may face struggles, but only because of ignorance and fear. We had to go through a lot to have our baby insured (even though I am covered by my partner's employer). I hope that the next president (hopefully Hillary) will make marriage--the LEGAL institution of marriage--between same-sex couples legal and recognizable.

I am so proud to be a lesbian and a mother and a supporter of Hillary Clinton and Ellen!!!

DEAR ELLEN, I AM WARCHING YOUR SHOW WITH HILLARY CLINTON. HER COMMENTS ABOUT UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE HIT HOME. I AM 58 YEARS OLD AND PRESENTLY OUT OF WORK. I DO NOT MAKE ENOUGH ON UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS TO AFFORD MEDICAL BENEFITS IF I GET SICK, I WILL HAVE TO TRUST IN THE LORD. I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE, AND EQUALITY FOR GAYS. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO ME AND FOR SUPPORTING HILLARY CLINTON. SINCERELY, MARY

live and let live we are all children of god regardless

How awesome is that! Like Hillary's parents, my neighbors in my condo complex are a long-term couple (men) who seem to get along better than most heterosexual couples. Whether we agree with their moral choices or not, as human beings they deserve the same human dignity as anyone else. I'm so happy that Hillary has FINALLY come out for them! I saw a button on the jacket of a presumedly lesbian, it had Hillary's face, a rainbow, and the words, "Out for Hillary!"

Go Hillary! www.hillaryclinton.com

Jesse,
I'm confused on how you feel I have offended God by stating that homosexuality is clearly shown in the Bible as wrong. Read my last comment where I said "Love the sinner, hate the sin". So, yes, my heart is open to love and No, I'm not sorry.

I can't believe there are still people so ignorant to think that being gay is a choice and then say it is a sin comparable to murder?! VOTE HILLARY!!!

Wenlep,
You already offended your (my) God by your words. NO ONE is forcing you or anyone to be or accept Homosexuallity. But for those whom by God's own will (you are born Gay, its not a choice), these rights are for them. Sorry? Yes.Yes you are. I hope you will not close your heart, for the Love of God.
