I saw Eugene on your show and found the show on TV and recorded every one. I think that it is amazing what he does for the chimps. I have met many people who work there from facebook and we talk from time to time. They are a great bunch of people. I love chimps and I thought that it was such a great thing for the chimps to be rescued. I am going to adopt one of them in the coming weeks. I am so grateful for you to have had him on your show or else I probaly would have never discovered it. Thanks for all that you do.
Hi, I watch your show. I watch the show where Joa attack you while you were teaching the other chimps to clime the tree.
Well I think the reason Joa attack you in the tree is because when he put out his hand in the tree you didn't take it when he ask you as the "leader" of the chimps to help him up the tree.
I think Joa took this as a "challage" from you and than felt he had to put you in your place.
Just a through. Love you show. Valrie
Ellen ...
Unfortunately, I missed this show but have to tell you I absolutely love what Eugene Cussons and all are doing to help the chimps.
Our daughter is a Kindergarten teacher in Princeton, Texas and I joined this organization in their name to enable the kiddos to learn about the chimps from an early age. Eugene actually had email contact with me on a personal basis so he puts his heart and soul into this project. Surprisingly to me, Susan told me that my daughter's class was the first class who had ever joined. It costs less than $100 to purchase the silver package and her kiddos have gotten an enormous amount of learning and caring from doing so. I had them vote on three different names of chimps and they chose Nikki! I then printed up a packet of information for 'their chimp' and the sanctuary for each one of the kiddos. I finished the packet up with a photo button of Nikki for each kiddo. Let's all get behind this project. What a wonderful gift to your child or grandchild's classroom!
Thanks again, Ellen, and I hope you have Eugene back again soon!

Hi Ellen,
Although late, I wanted to thank you for this piece included in your show. I know as an animal friend this is important to you. I can provide some information to those interested. There are several Chimp sactuaries in the U.S. that I'm sure would appreciate some volunteer work or donations. Chimp Haven is one dedicated to provide a place for those chimps which are being retired from either entertainment or lab research (so cruel by the way)so they can live their final days with some dignity and peace. Here is the link www.chimphaven.org or, you can help Eugene with his efforts at www.janegoodall.co.za.
LOVE YOU ELLEN, WE SAW YOU HERE IN CHICAGO

We, at the South African branch of The Jane Goodall Institute, are very proud of what Eugene, Russell, Willem and the rest of the Discovery team have done in producing this wonderful series. We are now waiting for the show to be broadcast in South Africa!

hope you all enjoy the above as much as I do!
Thank you for having behavoral information about chimps. I am going to visit my cousin who has a foster home for "Katie", a trained helper monkey for the disabled. Thanks to your show, I'll be able to great the monkey properly. I've been practicing all week!
Ellen, I have been a volunteer at Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in Palm Harbor, FL for over 6 years. It is very rewarding and there are many places to volunteer in the US. I have 2 college students that are coming to our facility this summer to learn more about the primates. Eugene Cussons and Jane Goodall Institute are doing a great job of freeing captive chimps in foreign countries. Read the History of Noell's Ark Gorilla Show--a true story about the former owners of our sanctuary chimps. This book would make a GREAT movie. Jan
I enjoyed todays show. I wanted to see more about the chimps. Can you have him on the show again? How do we find out more about the chimps?
Thanks SO MUCH for having Eugene on your show. I hope more people are now aware of the terrible lives that so many Chimps, and other beings of this earth have to endure everyday. Whether it be in research facilities, circuses, the illegal pet trade, and poaching, I think more shows need to be aired, just like this one. I'm happy that you increased awareness by doing this show, and hope that you will do many more shows that will help wildlife, and open the eyes of EVERYONE. Someday, it's a dream and a GOAL of mine to work with the Great Ape species, and help them live a life of happiness, comfort and peace. After all they deserve it...we must take a stand against the inhumane treatment of ALL animals, for they cannot do it themselves. Thanks so much again, you made my day.
I was home today and I was lucky enough to catch ellen's show, by the way is my favorite talk show. I love her she is so funny and looks like she would be a great friend.
Well I was so happy she invited the guy from chimp eve show he is so good with these animals
and his work is so important I had no idea this was going on!
God bless him and his very important mission...
