Ellen, don't worry about the comment in regards to Oprah, she trys to hard and her interviews always seem rehearsed. You are so awesome and you don't need to take her audience because you have your own. Oprah is competing with you and it is a loosing battle! Keep up the fabulous work!
If people are going to post saying things against
Ellen, don't bother. This is for true Ellen fans.
Don't you know the saying ? "If you can't
something nice, don't saying anything at all."
Sounds like a bunch of suburban white-bread women who hardly ever get to the city, nevermind the actual city outside the Gold Coast. Is Ellen attempting to steal Oprah's audience?
Lou Malnatti's is a suburban ripoff of Pizzeria Uno.
In the city, why not try something other than pizza. Go to Hot Dougs, the Encased Meat Emporium. Try the goose fat fries.
Go to the South Shore Cultural Center and eat there, served and cooked by local residents in their culinary school.
Chicago has ribs. Or is that too messy to eat for the 'ladies who lunch'?
Go to Brunas in the old Italian part of the city down on Oakley, have some veal in the back room that has the original linoleum floor (and waiters).
Stay away from Taylor street (faux Italian), Rush street (Viagra triangle...faux something), and Lincoln Park (home of the Trixie).
So many phonies...
Please stay away from Billy Goat, where the cheese slice is thicker than the meat slice. Just go to Steak and Shake and get a Frisco melt. Or Jacks down on Joliet Road just west of 1st Avenue for a real burger.
Chicago is a city of neighborhoods. None of those neighborhoods include the likes of Wilmette or Highland Park. If you're coming to Chicago to show off Chicago, look for Chicagoans, not tourists.
Of course I would dive into a pizza...duh....we do it all the time!!!!Naked.....anything for tickets!!!! anything!!!!!!Just dont shave your legs before, cus the acid from the tomatoes stings like a mother!
Chicago Pizza is the bomb...I love it and I would love to go to Chicago and be in the audience at your show Ellen...you are so funny and I would love to dive in the pizza...it looks so much fun..
I live in Toledo,Ohio just a short 4 hours away from Chicago and have visited it many times. But I've never applied to get Oprah tickets, though I've thought about it. But diving into a deep dish pizza has put me over the edge. I'd love to get tickets to the Ellen show in memory of the time I had a deep dish pizza, met up with a friend who took us out to dinner and then the comedy club. When the waiter came to take my order I asked for water so I could put in my two alka seltzers. It worked. Figure Ellen's Deep Dish Dig could be just the recipe for fun.
It depends on what type of pizza you are diving into. Pepperoni? Sauage? Maybe a few anchovies? Personally I like a sauage pizza with spinach! It's almost healthy. Rock on Ellen! I looking forward to seeing you in Chi-town. Take a dive into a pie.
I'm GAME Ellen! I couldn't swim that well but I know how to dive and dig into a pan of pizza!!! Lol... I would play that game even the marshmallow game (that I said I wouldn't like to play) just to watch your show LIVE!!!! Whuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutah game.. :)
Dear Ellen,
I lika my pizza, I lika my pie....I don't lika my onions they make me cry! Enjoy that good Chicago pizza!! It's been 30 years since I was stationed in Great Lake, Illinos and took a fun filled day trip into Chicago. I hope you have just as much fun.
Love ya
I sit every day waiting for Ellens Show or watching
it later after recording it. I about fell over when
you mentioned Lou Malnatis pizza the other day. This year my partner and I have been together 41 years. The last 12 years were bad but this year has turned the worst for me. I LOVE LOU MALNATIS pizza and would love to be at your show in Chicago. I live about 60 miles from Chicago.

What's the deal with the focus on pizza in Chicago?
How lame is it to not explore Chicago further.
Why not just dress up in gangster pinstripes and pull out a Tommy gun if you want to stereotype Chicago.
There is a whole lot more to Chicago than sourdough pizza.
How about visiting some Roller Derby bouts? How about going to Central Gyros where those gyro loaves were first developed? How about a tour of Pilsen, maybe show a good, modern latino restaurant? How about standing outside City Hall and handing out small paper bags to guys wearing too tight ties and too much cologne and watch them look you over for wires?
Segway tour of the lakefront?
How about showing at at the produce market at 5 am to see some action?
Pizza is sooooo lame. It's almost like going to Holywood and gagging down one of those in and out burgers. Yeah, right, I forgot, there's going to be a visit to the Billy Goat and 'no fries, chips' tripe.
deep dish pizza, yah, that's good for an appetizer, maybe ... but then you gotta go to the Weiner Circle for a good Chicago hot dawg with the works, Ellen. including hot peppers.
Clark Street, 2 a.m., be there!
Hi Ellen,
I'm embarrassed to confess that we live 30 whole minutes north of "downtown" Chicago. I have a daughter in college in Maine and a 16 yr old who both think (along w/ their Momma) that there's nothing better in the world than an Ellen show. We would walk, ride our bikes or preferably drive (teehee) downtown to dance w/ you. I would love to surprise my girls w/ tickets if you could spare them. We could even bring you an assortment of Chicago Pizzas to taste test. Malnati's, Giordano's, Edwardo's, Viccino's, etc. Would you trade tickets for pizza? We're your greatest fans....let me know.

Dear Ellen-
Our most FAVORITE Ellen show is the one where U dance *BALLET* in a *PINK TU TU* on SESAME STREET!
We watch it again & again. And again! We R only 1 & 2 years old & live in Chicago. We cannot drive so do U want 2 come over on your tour of Chicago? We eat, nap & play a lot so if that sounds like something U would like, then it will be a lot of fun.
We keep our MoMmY ~~quite busy~~! She LOVES us more than ANYTHING in the WORLD but she could use a " MoMmy - DaY - oFF " :) Please choose her 2 come 2 the show with our aunt & grammy?
Please say yEs!? :)
Thank you!
Alexie & Alyssa
Hey Ellen,
I look forward to watching your show every day when I get home from a day's work. My husband used to give me a hard time for watching you, but now he's hooked....haha sucker!!! He say's he never would have thought it would be a show he'd get into, thought it was just for girls. Anyway, we love you and would love to play hookie from work to see you when you're in our area!!
Welcome to Chicago and enjoy yourself!!
Hey Ellen,
I absolutely love your show and would love to drive to Chicago to see it. I also have a sister who is a fan of yours and believe it or not, the two of you have similarities that are scarey. I believe that Chicago has the best pizza, however the next best is in my hometown of South Bend, IN (Home of the Fighting Irish) and I would personally invite you to try Rocco's Pizza near the campus. In fact, I would even buy. Hopefully I will see you in May.

You are the best talk show host ever!!! I'd give anything to attend your show in Chicago, even things I don't have (like my firstborn kid). But I'm definitely willing to dive into a deepdish pie or whatever crazy game you come up with so please put my name on your A list (since you're definitely on mine!)

Dearest Ellen,
As I am sure you know already, Chicago is buzzing because your show is coming here in May! Congrats to all those who have tickets to attend the show, but there are still a TON of fans who are trying to get them. So we really appreciate your contests which allow us to continue trying to get tickets.
But Ellen, when you have a contest, the contest should be fair, right? I knew you would agree! Unfortunately, the contest your show is promoting right now is not fair. Chicago viewers are supposed to be able to log onto your website daily after watching your show at 3pm and enter the contest online by picking the song you danced to that day.
In theory, it seems easy enough, right? It should work smoothly, but your website is often wrong on the contest page. First, the question listed refers to the GMC Acadia contest from this past fall, which has nothing to do with the Chicago show. Next, the song options are not updated daily, which prevents people from entering the contest.
Ellen, lots of your Chicago viewers have been unlucky and not able to get tickets, so we don't need another obstacle preventing us from those tickets! All we want to be able to do is enter the contest daily so we can hopefully attend your show. I have written to the webmaster of the site a couple of times, as well as your staff to alert them to this problem, but I don't think they have noticed it yet. So can you do something about it Ellen?
Please give your unlucky Chicago viewers a fair chance at winning those tickets......Could you also give a shout out on your show this week to us Chicagoans who haven't gotten tickets - it will give us the inspiration and hope we need to continue our efforts in trying to get them! Please Ellen, your unlucky fans need to hear you say hi (and hopefully fix the website problem!).
A true "Ellen" blue fan from Chicago,
Tamara Hubbard
