1,294th Place Is Better Than 1,295th!

Megan Cooper came in 1,294th out of 4,373 in the Country Music Marathon. She raised a lot of money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and had a great time. Here's a little look at how it went.

I don't do well with math but my easy figuring sees a 1 and a 4... so I'd say that is pretty good.. in the top 1/4!?? (1,294/4373) That is good... that's a lot of people to be in front of... which means she's a fast runner!!!... a fast paced runner and not only that .. but she finished!!!.. I mean even ran more than a mile.. which is more than I can say for myself.... the longer you run the more you make(i think? been awhile 4 me. I biked for cystic fibrosis once).. of course it has to do with the amount of sponsors too... but all these factors... spells AWESOME!!!! to me.

Even though I don't know you two Hi Fives Megan! You did it! See you on Ellen!

Megan-

Way to go girl! I "ran" into you around mile-marker 6. I'm the Board Prez of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Thanks for your efforts in promoting MAW. I hope you had a big time in Nashville and know you have friends here if you ever return!

Have you ever heard of Flat Stanley? It is a paper doll - features drawn by first or second graders and then mailed to family or friends and told to take him or her (which would be Cynthia) to various locations around your town - taking pictures of him/her at the locations and then explaining the sites you took them to. You would be amazed at how welcome Flat Stanley is. Our grandson sent Flat Stanley to us and we took him to various sites around our town and found out that people are great. They would let Flat Stanley be pictured everywhere. Previously to sending him, they read a story of a large bulletin board falling on Stanley making him flat and able to be mailed. You would be amazed at the people who love him. A book is coming out about how Flat Stanley helped a town.

In Niagara Falls, a young family came by - as we were taking Flat Stanley's picture - the youngest child yelled, "Mom, there's Flat Stanley."

People are GREAT.

People are good.
