We had a redneck wedding....we were married in the courthouse on a Saturday morning by the only judge in the county. He had to open the courthouse (just for us and our handful of guests that insisted on being there) after he finished visiting with the inmates from the night before in the "basement jail." There were no vows, just 2 simple "yes'" from each of us. We signed the papers and off we went to buy our new dually! That's all we needed, redneck or not. We are truly happy and that's all that matters!

I've never been to a redneck wedding, but they look so down to earth and funny! My daughter's will be close, she's getting married in May at Buck Lake Ranch outside Angola, IN and the whole theme is country so it ought to be a blast!
as a wedding photographer in upstate ny I have photographed many Red Neck Weddings. They can be more fun then if it were in the best catering houses.Redneck weddings pay the bills.
Hi, ellen, I just wanted to let you know that my sister jeanette is having a red neck wedding, in august 8th of 2008, it is going to be a camoflouge Wedding,with bullet lights ,and her Cake is going to look like a tree with a derr stand on it ,Her wedding dress is going to be camofloge,and his suit is too, it is going to be pretty interesting, it will be in Wapello,iowa, I cant wait to see her Wedding, her sister Joyce
How about this for a "redneck" wedding. I was working at Golden Skillet (a fried chicken resteraunt) and my soon to be hubby was working on a hog farm (well he still does but that's beside the point). Well we had gotten our license and were all ready to get married. We decided to go to the justice of the peace and have a "simple" wedding no frills or nothing. So he picked me up after work and we got married that afternoon. I was smelling to high heaven of Fried chicken grease and he was smelling to high heaven of hog farm. Me in my Golden skillet uniform and he in his jeans and t-shirt. That was 18 years ago. Our oldest was already 14months old and we now have a 17 year old and a 10 year old. So I guess "free" weddings can last alot longer than wedding people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on! :)
At my wedding last summer, my hubby and his guys wore vests that were black satin on one side and camo on the other. They changed to the camo side after the ceremony. I wore a camo garter, my husband wore his cowboy hat and we had a pig roast for the reception! We thought we were pretty redneck! Until we saw the show of course...
Well, I thought that I had been to a Redneck Wedding but apparently I haven't. Living in Tennessee, I thought that I had seen a lot. Honestly, I can't even watch this show. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! But I guess to each his own. How boring this world would be if we were all alike.
I attended a redneck wedding where everyone had to climb up a ladder to get to the loft in a barn where the wedding took place. Great fun for the women in tight skirts and heals.
Hey joy to my spirit, I have never been to a redneck wedding ,but danged if it don't look fun.
My husband got so drunk at our wedding we didn't consemate the marriage . and I didn't have any of the fun they have on tv.

I've not attended a redneck wedding, but have been to a couple of redneck funerals!!!
At my cousin's funeral, our uncle fell asleep during the service and snored.
At my grandfather's funeral, my 2 year old cousin walked up to the casket during the service and his grandma (my aunt) took a picture....DURING the service.
I'm sure I could come up with more stories if you want to hear them!!!
