Today in Ellen History

On March 18th 1970, Ellen attaches playing cards onto the fork of her bike with clothespins, leans back in her banana seat with the sissy bar, and pops one of the wickedest wheelies her street has ever seen.

On March 18th 1981, (during Ellen's "Circus Years") Ellen falls off of her 6-foot high unicycle while performing her juggling fire routine and just barely misses getting mauled by a lion and several midgets in a tiny car.

On March 18th 2004, Jim Carrey rides a bicycle around the Ellen stage, and falls off, creating one of the most memorable moments ever on the show.

Dear Ellen,

Someone I'd like to see as a guest on your show is the caveman in the Geico ads. I may be old, but I can still admire a hot body and I love a good dancer. I don't know if Geico would let him dance for us. Yum!

hi ellen just want to let you know that i appretiate the enterteinment.your show is the best, you give me couradge. i am fgrom south africa.i would like to meet you someday thanks

I didn't get to see that show. Did he hurt his head? It sure sound like it. Poor guy... you know it is so nice that you play it over and over again so he and everyone else remembers that. lol I know I like seeing it over and over again. That's what I would say if it happened to me. I meant to do it. hehe

I was wondering, is it possible to surprise myself with the gift of meeting you one day? You know, since there is always a relative or a best friend sending this type of emials in order to make their loved ones happy by making their biggest dream come true and meeting their idols or #1 start. I KNOW THIS IS JUST A DREAM, but why not to try, who knows, maybe one day God will make your producers read this email and just out of nowhere, think "uhm this might be a good episode for the Ellen Show" and then pick it and make something special and beautifull surprise to take me to your show and finally meet you. OMG I can even imagine that.
PLEASE, IF THIS EVER HAPPENS THOUGH, MAKE SURE THEY MAKE A VERY GOOD JOB SO I WONT DISCOVER UNTIL I AM IN THE SET OF YOUR STUDIO. I know, I am a big dreamer, but that's what keeps us all alive sometimes...lol
Ellen, may God Bless you. U have this unique power to bring a little smile to everyone who can watch your show at least once in their lives. I am such a big fan, (I know this might sound like a cliche to you) but there is no other way to word it.
U are really amazing. It is so good to know that God had created people like you in this difficult and unexplainable world where we all live at.
AHHH, TO YOUR PRODUCERS: I AM OFF ON TWESDAYS, SO MAKE SURE YOU TAKE ME TO THE SHOW ON MY DAY OFF, SO I WONT LOOSE MY JOB. LOL.
I keep you on my prayers, because I know you are a human been just like all of us, and sometimes I do wonder WHO MAKES ELLEN LAUGH LIKE SHE DOES TO ALL OF US?
GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.
MUCHO AMOR,
STEFANY

Oh my God, I love you both so much! Jim Carrey is fantastic. Oh, and PLEASE! You need to have David Bowie on the show ONE MORE TIME! I love him so much! I'm thirteen years old, and I have OCD. Guess what I'm obsessed with... him. I just wrote to you with a couple of letters in the envelope. Please read them. It is the really big envelope with three David Bowie pictures on it. It means so much to me. It's my dream to meet him or for him just to right back to me. I love you, Ellen! Keep up the great work!

thanks for a great show. i am in western australia. why don't you come over and do a show from here.

I know this is redundant, and that everyone says they are your biggest fan, but I really am! I have enjoyed your sense of humor since way back in your stand-up days (you looked sooooo cute in the 80's!!); and I have to say, the thing I love most about you is that, I could take my Mom, or Grandmother, or a three-year-old child to your show, and NEVER be embarrassed to be sitting there with them, and hearing ANYTHING you have to say! You have the most wonderful, gentle, playful, childlike, sideways, slightly skewed and self-deprecating way of looking at the world, and it just tickles my funny bone! Thanks for your wonderful show, your refreshing sense of humor, the people and talent you introduce us to, and the joyful way that you approach life! May your show never end!

Hi Ellen,
You show your dogs and cats on TV and we love it, but you used to show a little dog named "PIG". What happened to PIG? We love your show and would love to come and see you sometime. Thanks

Hi Ellen, I like your show helps me relieve on my stress from my job and being homesick, I dont have any relatives and friends here on the city we live in. This is my husband's hometown. Everytime i can get a chance i'll watch your show, and if i miss it. I'll definitely go your website and watch and read it, & etc. You makes people laugh and smile. And How generous and helpful your are to show to the national TV to those people (or person) who got talents. Even my mother & sister watch your show too, ( They've live in California) and Im here in ILLINOIS. Well more power to you! I hope someday i can take my mom and sister there to see your show. Take care... Best show!!

sincerely,

Maureen

He's the one that wrote this..."Hi, my name is Kyle Hickok, I am 11 going on 50, I'm 4'11" weight what is weight? he he he, about 70lbs, I have BIG, round, happy, sparkly, hazel, grey, eyes, I have an Awesome Smile that lights up the whole room, I'm a lover, and a prankster, I love to tease, I can get stressed but most of the time, I'm happy, my family calls me their SUPERHERO!!, and little warrior man".

Hi Ellen, I am79 years young and a widow, my husband passed way 3 years ago and since I am handicapped and can not walk without a walker my son and his wife moved me into their home and have been taking care of me. They are sooo good to me..I can't begin to tell you everything they do. If you could take them or send them to Disneyworld with you, it would be so wonderful. They have not gone on a vacation since I moved in with them and my son is a big kid at heart and loves Disneyland. I am sure I could get my daughter to come stay with me while they get away. My son is a realestate agent and sales have been so bad here in Vegas he has not sold a piece of poperty in over a year and my sweet daughter-in-law had kidney cancer and lost a kidney in December..On top of all that my grandsson is in the Navy snd was just shipped to Iraq. Please..lease if you can take them to Orlando even of it's for a couple of days...GOD BLESS YOU and keep up the good work, you are wonderful and we love you...Charlotte Bittman
