Today in Ellen History

On March 18th 1970, Ellen attaches playing cards onto the fork of her bike with clothespins, leans back in her banana seat with the sissy bar, and pops one of the wickedest wheelies her street has ever seen.

On March 18th 1981, (during Ellen's "Circus Years") Ellen falls off of her 6-foot high unicycle while performing her juggling fire routine and just barely misses getting mauled by a lion and several midgets in a tiny car.

On March 18th 2004, Jim Carrey rides a bicycle around the Ellen stage, and falls off, creating one of the most memorable moments ever on the show.

Hi Ellen,
Of course I just love your show and your empathy for other people. You seem to be very down to earth like sooooo many of your fans. I wish you the best of everything and just keep us laughing. Our world sure can use more of your great charisma.
Love
Mary

Hi Ellen,

Have a wonderful weekend!

I love your show!!! I am retired and now I have time for such things. You are a wonderful and kind person. I love it when you laugh and when you dance. Keep up the great work.

Hi Ellen,

Like everyone else I am a HUGE fan of all your work. I was devastated when your old TV show was axed. As an Australian I feel that we as a country can claim you as one of ours now (thats what we do when you marry one of us)lol. I watched with tears in my eyes your beautiful wedding photos and videos, it is so refreshing to see a big celebrity like yourself allowing the public to view your special moments.
Will you ever bring your show "down under". I would line up for weeks just to get tickets. I know you have hundreds and thousands of fans. Please keep making us laugh, your show is the highlight of my day.

Ellen, you bring joy to my family--thank you!

Hey Ellen!
My 13 year old daughter Meghan and her best friend recently informed me that on September 13, 2008 Jonas fans are taking over Disneyland! A Jonas fan club called Jonasphere has started this whole whole thing so that Jonas fans can get together and show there love for The Jonas Brothers. We love your show and I get the newsletter in my e-mail. My daughter decided she was going to try and get as much publicity as possible and has taken it upon her self to track down the Jonas Brothers and tell them about this. When we heard they were going to be on the show on Friday my daughter freaked and sent me straight to the computer to send this letter to you! She would love if you could tell the boys about it and maybe announce it on the show so that more people would show up. She is trying so hard and if you could do this, it would mean the world to her. Thank you!

Hi Ellen! I am a big fan of you! I love the way you are. The way you show your kindness to other people specially elders. More power to your show!

Hi Ellen! How are you?! Love you and your show. You are just so cool funny. lol.
Saving money to come to one of your shows.

My e-mail address is my maiden name that's why its different from my name(I just got married on May 31st and am loving being a wife!) It is sooo fun and love being with my best friend all the time!

Anyways....I'm here working the night shift at Duke Hospital in Durham, NC as a Neurodiagnostic Tech. I'm sooo tired right now and have a long night ahead of me. Have a good day!

Hi Ellen. I enjoy watching your show especially the dancing... it's great. My mom loves watching it too, but she can't ever remember your name. lol. She always refers to you as "that girl" it's so funny. (I love my mama) I think it's wonderful that your mom is always in the audience. Love ya!! and peace out.

Hi Ellen !
im from Quebec City, Canada and i love your show. Its the best show on tv. You are so funny !

Martine

Ellen, you're great and I love you!!

Hi Ellen from merry old England...as opposed to New England. I am an Oklahoman...American and a citizen of England. I have lived here for 10 1/2 years and it is stunning. I love your show and if I miss it, I tape it so I can watch it when I need a dance break or just a few American laughs to make me feel better...and trust me, you do provide the laughs and the dance! British humour, while pretty darn amusing can lose a lot in translation. (Ever read Bill Bryson..Notes from a Small Island? Exactly what's it like here!)I still have my American/Oklahoma accent and am trying to get them to talk just like me. (I taught primary school here and all of the kids would sound like me by the end of the year...I am now working on them celebrating the 4th of July and Thanksgiving.) I love Gladys in Texas and think she is a complete hoot. Much success for many years to come....Cheryl (County Durham, North East England.)

love ya!

Ellen...it's me Zack. Remember when all of those ducks got caught in the plane engines and we had to jump for it? Remember having to share a parachute and as we floated dramatically towards the island filled with wild natives (all who happened to be pointing poison tipped spears at us by the way...in case you forgot about the spears filled with poison Ellen), remember how you kept complaining about how I wear too much cologne and that it was stinging your eyes. Remember how I said that we should be focusing on our landing and that the natives didn't look restless, but more or less very focused and determined to poke us with poison tipped spears. Remember how you told me I should switch to CK One, because you liked that fragrance and you thought that it would definitely not burn your eyes so much. Well Ellen... I have switched to CK One. You were right, that other stuff was a little too potent...and I might (might have) put a little too much on that particular morning. I am sorry for stinging your eyes with my cheap cologne. Hope you're doing well. How is everything?

ellen you are awesome!i went to visit my mum in kenya(africa) and guess what everyone was asking me if i have ever seen you live hahahahahahaha they love your show back there u r great keep it up ellen.
