Today in Ellen History

On March 18th 1970, Ellen attaches playing cards onto the fork of her bike with clothespins, leans back in her banana seat with the sissy bar, and pops one of the wickedest wheelies her street has ever seen.

On March 18th 1981, (during Ellen's "Circus Years") Ellen falls off of her 6-foot high unicycle while performing her juggling fire routine and just barely misses getting mauled by a lion and several midgets in a tiny car.

On March 18th 2004, Jim Carrey rides a bicycle around the Ellen stage, and falls off, creating one of the most memorable moments ever on the show.

You've got the greatest show ever.
Enough said.

Ellen, I love your show. You make me laugh. You are so down to earth and make everyone comfortable. But the most important thing is that you let people talk. You don't interupt them like the big O . Keep up the good work!!!

My theory in life is Laugh, Dance and try not to get upset because 1 minute you spend upset is 60 second you would never get back.
Hey Ellen I just want you to know that my son who is 6 years old love the marshmellow and the snap game. I am never home to see the show but I make sure when I put cable at home I got a DVR box just to record your show so me hime could spend at least that one hour together laughing and dancing when you dance, because living in NYC you barely have time to spend it with yourself....lol.... Now me on the other hand love the entire show because of two things;
1)you make laugh so, so much and laughing is my life and 2) you make me dance even without music and music is my passion.
Thank you for making my son and I laugh together everyday.
XOXO

Hi Ellen,

I have always hoped that you will have Haben Abraham on your show, the little talented girl from Seattle. Her name is Haben Abraham check her out at www.myspace.com/habenabraham. I hope you get her on your show. She is awsome.

Hi Ellen,

I enjoy your show so much. When Chris Brown was on your show with his dancing game, I was kinda disappointed. I wanted to see Chris Brown sing!
Have him back on your show soon.

Love ya,

Robin

Hi, Ellen! I'm from Montevideo, Uruguay, the smallest country in South America and it was not until this year that your show could be seen by cable. Nothing could have given me more satisfaction. I have seen it in the States, and I just adored you from the first moment. You put a smile in my face every day at 6 p.m. (here) and sometimes I don't even know why... You just stay there, serious, and I'm laughing alone in my house. You are hilarious: your sense of humor, your generosity, your wit, your kindness... There is nothing that can take my away from the screen when your show is on. I'm a 65 year old grandmother who finds your program an example of how TV can be entertainment and not only bad news. It's a thrill watching you, thanks, I love you and wish you all the best professionally and personally.

Hi, Ellen how are u?
I'm saving my money to see your show...lol.. can't waite

My sister and I are going to Los Angeles the week of November 8-15 to visit my son, but we are actually more excited to see your show. We've applied for tickets (the first day it was posted)and are so looking forward to seeing you in person. You are wonderfully funny, witty and a great dancer....everyone in Little Rock, Arkansas loves you. At school, we find reasons to work in front of the television everyday at 4 PM so we can watch your show. Thanks for an hour of true entertainment.
Hope to see you in person soon!

I LOVE YOU ELLEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a fan for MANY years but haven't been able to see your show much because I was always at work. Well, due to the unfortunate recent loss of my job, I have been enjoying you every day! I just want to thank you for all the smiles and giggles you have provided me (along with a few tears!) while I have been recovering from the shock of being unemployed.

Congratulations on your wedding, and the best of everything to the both of you. I hope to someday be able to come and see you in person - you are just hilarious!!

Thank you for all you do.....you truly do make a difference!

Hey Ellen, you are so funny and i love coming home from work and watching your show its the best part of the day!
