Put a teaspoon (or tablespoon depending on how many eggs you're boiling) in the water with them. Doing this and peeling while hot works wonders.

hi ellen, i too am fond of tomato soup & tuna salad sandwiches. my second fav. is grilled cheese sandwiches w/ any soup.i have a question for you.my husband likes egg salad sandwiches.i remember you saying one time"anyone can boil an egg" okay,maybe.but let's take it one step further. can you peel a boiled egg? no,i haven't confused you with martha stewart or rachel ray.i am asking you because i am too embarrassed to ask my mom or 3 sisters.they would laugh at me and poke fun.you would laugh with me, big difference. that's why i love you and tolerate them.am i the only one who has stubborn eggs?i tried hot,warm & cold eggs.running water or dry.they always look like a mouse attacked it like a chuck of cheese.

Hi Ellen, I am so excited that I am finally coming to see the show this Thursday!3/20, I just joined the SPARK TEAM and found the site accidentally. not reallizing this was the same site you talk about! I was looking up a thing about quilting and this appeared. Anyway, I just joined today and the support in these few hours has been unreal! We are starting a lunch buffet at my place of work and, if you don't mind, I'm going to suggest some of your lunches you share with us! I'll let you all know if they're a hit! I could even make up funny little lines to accompany the dishes! I just thought of that, just now! Maybe you got me on to some new trend... Lunch with a Laugh!!!!

Hey Ellen, I love seeing your lunch. I hate to cook. Seems healthy food makes me sick. I have been forced recently to go healthy cuz my husband is now diabetic after having 2/3 of his pancreas removed.We use to eat out all the time and this a life changing event. I didn't even own stuff like measuring spoons and cups. I don't want some Dr telling me if I had only leveled the teaspoon of lard that he'd be alive today.So,I'm trying but I don't even get the lingo in those cookbooks. It takes me hours just to go to the store and read labels.It's like going thru a maze looking for that piece of cheese,only to find out it's not low carb and then ya gotta go start all over. They should provide a little teaspoon of gatorade along the route.I always stop for fries before going home. He claims he can smell the fries but it's probably the catshup in my hair that gave me away.I stuffed some salmon in a measuring cup, then just whacked some off and weighed the salt, then I broiled his salmon on the top rack with my chocolate chip cookies on the bottom rack so they'd be done at the same time. He says he smells chocolate and I tell him it must be coming from the neighbors.They cook. I swear sometimes, they eat EVERY day! This has been really hard. I guess there are reasons to have a chef. Well, he's still alive but I don't know how much longer.

That was a great show the other day (St Paddy's Day). I was in the riff raff room but had a great time with my friends anyway.
I'm a big salad fan too, but no meat. I would love to have some of these cool recipes to try myself. Then it would be like having lunch with Ellen!!! Some of my favorite salads are from Trader Joe's. That would be funny if one day on your show everyone if the audience got a salad !!! I'll be there wtih my friends on April 15th, if you decided to do that.

Your lunch looks totally YUMMY !!!!!!!! I absolutely love tomato soup. When I was little my mom used to make tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and I felt like I was in heaven. So when I want to go back in time that's what I have for lunch. Happy Eating!!!!!!!

Ellen, I am so happy for your success, its so long over due, I'm a hugh fan. You make me laugh till, I'm about ready to wet!! and bring tears to my eyes until I have to blow! I sometimes wish that I was someone famous so that I could tell you in person GOD bless you. With your fame you have such a great opertunity to do so much for those less fortunate great job Ellen, you go girl!

Goodness, goodness! I feel so sad that Ellen's about to eat that beautiful bug, and the story of the little boy is truly terrible. And I can't understand why Ellen is giving tickets to people in hell and I haven't received mine yet either. Well, maybe I can. I just have no many emotions at the moment that I don't know how to deal with them. I think maybe I'll just order a very plain-appearing cheese pizza and spend the evening pondering the many mysteries of this universe.
