Another Idol Falls


Last night the super enthusiastic and soulful Chikezie was eliminated from American Idol. Chikezie will join me in Orlando next Wednesday to talk about where he goes from here. In the meantime, another eliminated Idol, the whiskey voiced, Harley Davidson riding nurse, Amanda Overmyer, will join me tomorrow. Will she go back to nursing or will she continue on with her music? We'll find out and you're going to love yourself when you hear her sing "I Hate Myself for Loving You." Hey there Ellen I enjoyed watching Amanda everyweek I got off work on Idol nights hurried up got the family fed and my chores done so that I could focus on Amandas performance MAN I HOPE SHE GETS A RECORD DEAL SO I CAN GO SEE HER IN CONCERT. My daughter would love to see her too and she is a teenager. I think that the top 12 should tour I mean they give them the red carpet treatment why not the tour too. I hear there is going to be Wild card spot to tour now they should take top 11 in that case. Nothing can be done now but I hope we see more of Amanda, oh yeah something else I hope to do is get the chance to cruise on the Harleys with her that would be so cool.. Do you ride? If not my hubby can take you sometime.. LOL

Thanxs for putting Amanda on your show! I watch it everyday, and Amanda was a real treat!
She was definitely my favorite. She has so much personality and originality. It’s a shame women are not allowed to rock in the music industry or on the show, like all the other male contestants on AI. Amanda can out rock David Cook and the others any day! No one tells the men to stop rocking.
For those people who doubted her singing, she was amazing on ellen with only a piano! Her vocals were so pure and really shone through.
Amanda, keep on rocking, can’t wait to buy lots of your cds!!! You will show them all:)

Thank you for having Amanda Overmyer on your show. She is an amazing singer. She brought so much to the stage when she performs. It was a shame that she got voted off. I feel she was one of the best. She stayed true to herself and I like that. I feel alot more people would attend the tour if Amanda was there. She would have brought so much revenue. I like American Idol, but i feel they only want the ones that sound the same and that you can find everyday. I also think all 12 should be able to tour. The 12 receive the red carpet, not just the 10. Ellen I know you are a big apart of the Idol gives back and that is good, so why dont American Idol give back to the top 12. Amanda all the way for the Wild Card. I hope she receives a contract soon. She is missed

I've never watched American Idol, however I'm an avid Ellen fan! This Lady inspired me to write....
WHAT A VOICE! I'd pay as much as I do yearly (for 20 years!)for JIMMY BUFFET tickets to see this woman! WELCOME TO HOUSTON ANYTIME!

My husband and I are so fixed on American Idol nothing delites us more than to hurry home from work on a Tuesday night and put on the fireplace and watch American Idol.. of coarse your show first Ellen, its the best. We loved Amanda and looking forward to hearing her one more time on your show,,give her our love and she isn't finished yet,, theres a lot more coming her way.. sorry she was cut.. its down to the last 10 and somebody has to go there all good, its tough, keep smiling Amanda you have a beautiful smile.. Is that her real hair? It looks like a bad wig half of the time while she was on Idol. I liked her voice, but the wig was too much of a distraction. Please tell her to get a different stylist!

I think it's great that you give fallen Idols a platform allowing them to stay in front of the Public. In that regard, I am a musician, song writter going on 20 years. Open and shared stage with Kid Rock, Toledo and Detroit venues. Appeared on Jenny Jones show 3 times. I have a original song "I've Seen Better Days" (copyright) that fits Amanda Overmyer's Idol status. I would like to be able to download it to you. The song is a hard driving Rock number that fits Amanda's vocal styling. At interest in giving the tune a ear...and maybe passing it on to Amanda for her consideration. The lyric states "I've had better days...I'll find a better way...etc. Advise please...come back at
