Dear Ellen
You remind me so much of my mom. :D (Dont worry i'm only 20.)
But thats totally besides the point. I dont know why i even said that...but its a good thing.
Since you always have interesting people on your show, i thought i'd let you in on an interesting duo that i found out about recently.
They make little skits and its just too funny and i know you'd get a kick out of it.
Theyre at baratsandbereta.com

Hi Ellen ! I just got back from a week in New Orleans, during jazz fest! It was my first trip and I had a blast! I was so happy to see so many people there spending money and helping bring the city back. Everyone I met was so friendly and treated us just like family. We got to eat at Emerril's restaurant, and it was amazing. I love the quarter and all the stuff to see. Everyone should visit and enjoy all New Orleans has to offer. I can't wait to go back ! Please say hi to all the friends I made at Mena's Cafe on Chartres

Dear Mrs. Degeneres,
I love your show and I admire you as one of my role models. I am 15 years old and I am very devoted to the game of Golf and devoted to making my high school golf team, which will be a hard task. A few weeks ago, the pool in my backyard got torn down, and it left an ugly patch of sand where it used to be. My family and I were talking one day about what to put there, and a great idea came to my mind. Why not put in a synthetic putting green so I could practice golf any time I wanted? Well, it sounded like a great idea at first, but I did some research and synthetic putting greens are way too expensive for our family to afford. My dad's part time job is in jeopardy so getting a putting green in my backyard seems impractical. I emailed various websites seeking help but they didn't respond. You are my last hope and I could really could use some help!!! Can you think of any ideas of how to reduce the cost?

Ellen, I would like you to join us on a trip to
Florida.Your invited to stay at our little vacation house with us.
We are taking our grandson with us, he's 11. We will be visiting Discovery Cove in Orlando. This is your chance to swim with the Dolfins and Stingrays.
I told my grandson that I would love to bring a friend of his with us. But the money will be a little tight for that at this time. His response to me was. That's ok grandma. I can make friends any place I go. How special is that?
we also plan to go on an airboat ride, maybe rent some wave runners, also go on a Pirate Ship.
if you are up to some giggles. Trip is planned for Aud. 2 to Aug. 16th.
Hi Ellen,
I write to you today because I was really touched by a guest that was on your show. I am a Southwest Airlines flight attendant and on my last leg of the night to Kansis City, I had a very special customer on board by the name of Alfred Williams. As he boarded, he was smiling from ear to ear holding a great big check from your show. My heart swelled as he shared with me the same story about his life that he had shared with you. I haven't been able to stop thinking about his great smile and I would like to offer another gift to him to make his smile even greater. My husband is a well established dentist in Utah and we would love to fly him to Salt Lake City on Southwest Airlines to give him a brand new smile compliments of my husband and I. I wonder if you would extend this gift and invitation to Alfred. Just tell him it is from his Southwest Airlines flight attendant friend Cindy. Thank you so much and I hope to see him again. Cindy
Hi Ellen! My name is Lindsay, I am 15 and I live in Toronto, Ontario. I know you here this all the time but you are the best! More people in the world should be like you. Making people laugh is a wonderful gift so don't ever lose that. You always make me laugh everytime I watch your show. I think that it's really great that you have kids on the show showing their amazing talents they have. One of my favourite episodes is the one where you called a mom and sent her and her three autistic chidren for one week and a night to stay in Cinderella's castle. That was so nice I sat in front of the TV and cried. I know one day I will go to one of your shows and laugh my head off. I really wanted one of your 800th episode iPods until I could go to your show.

I know how much you love animals and i have a story that i think you would love. I am a woman in a wheelchair who uses a venterator part time and oxygen full time but that does not stop me from saving abused animals. A year ago last December someone brought me a very abuse part Jack Russel puppy to find a good home for. I soon found out she was not fully weaned so i ended up feeding her soft food my hand and she slept on my chest at night. When she was healthy enought I had her fixed and got all her shots. We named her Sugar plum. Sugar got very healthy and fast. one day she got out the door and within minutes we combed the area with no luck. My personal assistant/driver had eye sugry and could not drive so a friend of mine went to the local pound and found her. The pound said that if i got there my the end of the day with the paper work they would give her back. We got there with the paper work and they had already adopted her out. I begged them to give her back and explained my problems of gettting to the pound sooner, they basicly said tough. I immediately called our local news NBC station problem solving team. They went to action to no avail so they interviewed me. When the sement went on the air saying the local pound would not give me back Sugar the local community gave an out roar of protest. The station got flooded with e-mails, the local pound got flooded by phone calls and so did the Mayor's office. I was touched and pleased that strangers were fighting for me to get Sugar back. The station did a second interview and suprised me by bring Sugar back. Sugar was so happy she jumped in my lap and started licking me until she knocked my oxygen tube off. The pOund had fixed her again and gave her shots agin even though we showed them the paper work that it had already been done. She almost died from it. I rushed to my vet and it cost me $300.00 to save her. Fornately a kind man from my church paid for it. Sugar is now well and healthy. She is happy most of the time but i do believe she has flash backs because she is easily scared. Sorry this is so long but it needed to me told. thank you Genell
DEAR ELLEN,

Hi Ellen, I notice when you have games on your show you never choose a male to participate. What's up with that?
Hello Ellen,
I watch your show all the time. No matter what kind of mood I'm in you can always crack me up. My son once told me when I was correcting him in a loud tone to just go watch Ellen. I had to laugh.
I have a 19" TV in the living room that is about to give out. I would love to see you in person instead of seeing you on the small screen.
If you are every in Charleston SC please look me up. I would love for you to attend a fund raiser for my cousins wife Robin Lobosco. She needs a Kidney Transplant. It will be at Charleston Maritime Center Sunday June 22, 2008 12:00 - 8:00pm. Ms. Robin was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. Although she has been insured since 2002, the insurer is not providing coverage for a kidney transplant. We are trying to raise money for her life.
Please attend

Dear Ellen,
My name is Cristy Smith and I work for Westbrook Health Setrvices here in Parkersburg West Virginia. Westbrook does many things but I work in a residential home with 3 mentally handicapped men. Now these men have down syndrome, autism, etc. They are however the sweetest guys I have ever met. Each one of them has certain programs to stick to and part of their program is to go to a Day Time Program 5 days a week. Here they are with others like themselves. Now granted everyone doesn't have the capability to play the Neos, but 2/3 of my home does. I think it would be great for these boys to have this in their Daytime Program. Westbrook is funded through the state so things like this doesn't happen for them everyday. I hope you will consider these boys. For more information on Westbrook you can visit www.westbrookhealth.com
Tahnks for your time!!!! Cristy
Ellen, I am writing you about the NEOS GIVE AWAY not for me, but for a whole town. I live in WaKeeney, Kansas and there isn’t much for young kids to do around here. The small town is trying to put in a theatre; witch will also include a game room, not only used for children, but could also be used as a “coffee shop” for senior citizens, a meeting room, for businesses or family get-togethers, and a stage for community plays and forums. The game room would be a great place for the NEOS to go, it will allow the kids to play and exercise at the same time and that is what parents are looking for. The town is working on getting donations and obtaining numerous grants and the NEOS and anything else you could help us with would just be one more step closer to getting it done.
We need this theatre for a safe place for our children to go to and a place for the community to use. This is something the whole town could us and appreciate. We have to travel over 30 miles for any kind of these activities. I would love my children to have somewhere to go and play and enjoy themselves, especially when it is cold and or rainy outside. WaKeeney is working so hard to better itself, and being a small town it makes it harder to come up with the money and anything you could do to help would be much appreciated. I was born and raised in this small town and only wished there could have been something like this for us kids to do growing up here, but now I have a chance to help do something for the future children of this town. I have already donated and now I hope we can just come up with enough to get the job, theatre, done.
I love your show and how you have helped so many people out. If there were more people like you out there I believe we would live in a better world. If you can’t help our town out that is okay, but I just hope the place that gets the NEOS needs something like it as bad as we do. Thanks again for helping so many people and towns out, and good luck finding a good place for the neos.
Thanks Amanda and the town of WaKeeney.
Dear Ellen,
I saw the show today that featured the Neos. I teach Kindergarten at King-Chavez Academies, a charter school in San Diego. We desperately need the Neos.
In February our kindergarten playground was removed due to code violations. We have been waiting patiently for our new playground to be built, but it's projected that the equipment won't be in until June, the end of the year!
Although the director and staff have created activities for the children to play with during their recesses, these are sedentary activities such as blocks and art. Other than P.E. once and/or twice a week, there are 120 kindergarteners who've not been able to run and jump and play for three months!!
Imagine an afternoon with 20 five-and-six-year-olds who have not had a chance to shake their sillies out. Learning time can be quite the challenge.
We, six crazed kindergarten teachers and five unnerved support staff, would be ever so grateful and the kids would LOVE this wonderful opportunity to PLAY!
It would be such wonderful memory for them to take from their first year of school and not the memory of an empty playground, and the knowledge that they never got to play on the new kindergarten equipment because they had moved on to the first/second grade playground. The grins on their faces and joy in their play is how I would love to remember the end of the 2007-08
Thanks for everything. I love your show.
Best regards,
Chet Sewell
Hi Ellen,
I have a few miscellaneous things to talk about. First of all, I think your show is great. It's funny (of course), you have great guests, I absolutely love any and all of the animals on your show, and your show just makes me feel happy!!
I do think I should kind of "caution" you to steer clear of the remarks pertaining to your relationship with Porsha (spelling). Let's please remember this is a CLEAN, family-oriented show, and I wouldn't want to see the same thing happen that happened with your sit-com a decade ago. I like it being clean, and I don't have kids!! I get so tired of EVERY show being about sexual relationships. I don't mean to be critical, and I know it must be difficult to not talk about the love of your life, but it seems the first two or three years you didn't, and as time goes on, there's more and more talk of your relationships.
Please, this summer, when you have all re-runs, don't play a show that played just two weeks previously. There are a lot of teachers around the US who have summers off, and we'd like to see shows from the winter. Shows that weren't on over the Christmas holiday. Maybe that's a lot to ask of you?!
And while this is off-subject, I'd like to reply to "Anonymous" from April 26. I feel the EXACT same way you do; it starts getting old when no one does anything for you after you just give and give and give. I do think people definitely start to take advantage. I do wish you the best.
Thanx for listening, Ellen. I think you're awesome!!!!
Dear Ellen:
I really enjoy your shows, and I try to watch every day.
You are always doing nice things for people, I
am writing to see if you would consider helping
a deserving senior citizen. I am the assistant
director of the Bath County Senior Center. We
are planning on going from our very remote section
of Virginia to Pennsylvania in July. The County
of Bath is giving us each $200 towards our trip,
which is $279. Some of our Seniors cannot come
up with the extra $79. Would you possibly consider "ADOPTING" one or more of our seniors???
I know that this is a long shot, but I am praying
that you will read this and can help us out.
I really love it when you call Gladys. She sounds
like a really great gal.
Congratulations on your 800 shows. Keep up the
good work.
Thanks for your consideration.
Love,
Katie Smith
Dear Ellen'
NEOS GIVE AWAY--I would like you to consider ST.MICHEAL'S SCHOOL. This is a residental school for children who have problems--either at home with their families or because of other issues. e
I work as a nurse there. The children are wonderful, sometimes I wonder how they manage with all the disappointments they have had to deal with. The school is always looking for ways to keep the children active. I think the NEOS game would be great. You would have to check with the Director to be sure that this would be appropiate for the facility..
Thank you for any consideration you may give..
I love your show & all the good you do. God bless.............Love Ya......Linda
Hi Ellen,
I watch your show everyday. I live near Chicago, and I'm excited that you are coming to Chicago soon. I entered to get VIP tickets but never recieved them yet. Would you please please please...pick me!!!!!
When you are in town, I recommend for you to visit Millinium Park and take a picture of your reflection off the "Bean" with Chicago's buildings in the background. That would be awesome!!!!!!
Hey ED i am from Rockford Illinois, and I wanted to thank you so much for doing amazing shows lasting an hour long, every week day I almost never stop laughing. No doubt that is definately your talent. There is one thing I would like is to hear from you, what is your best advice you can give in life? Some things in my life has gotten me depressed and it gets harder and harder to see the good in my life. I would love to hear from you... best reguards ~colie
I watched your show with Dr.Dyer. I agree that kindness makes you feel good and have tried to help people all my life. However there can come a time when this does back fire. Because it is a chemical reaction to thought process. If you never have a kindness done for you in return (even though your own act is done without expectation)you start to spiral down from that feeling of being good. I have always put others first and strived to make others feel better. There comes a time when you involuntarily start to think you are not good enough because other than when doing for others you don't feel good. We all need some type of validation in our lives. When you get none, little pieces of you die. I will never stop trying to help others because my empathy towards others is not a choice but my natural being.
You, Ellen, do always make people smile and your joy in life shines through and is so real.
you are one of those special people
Dear Ellen:
I would watch your show everyday if I could. I have been working the night shift and it is very difficult for me to stay awake in order to see you. You don't come on till 10:00 am in Cleveland, TN. I was wondering if there is any way I can get a TiVo so that I can watch you whenever I want.
I think you are one of the best talents on this planet and your show is one that is very unique. You have some of the best guests on your show. What I have found to be very rewarding is how you take notice of just ordinary people who have done extraordinary things for other people.
I would love to be able to attend one of your shows, but even if I did get tickets, I wouldn't beable to make it there because of a transportation problem. I am 51 years old and am still raising two teenage sons.
Ellen, I really love your show. Keep up the good work. I believe you will be on TV longer than Johnny Carson was.

I just wanted to comment, on the comment you made about the grammer correction your Mom made the other day. The one where you were showing a video on "Mily and her friends dancing". I'm sorry to say but you were correct and your mom was wrong, it is "her friends and not she friends".
If you use "she" you are talking about Mily herself (first person). As in "She" was dancing in a video with "her" Friends. "Her" friends are used in the sentance as a Possession, "as the hat belongs to her (Mily)" NOT SHE!!
It really sounded silly when you said it on air, and yes you do have yes people or someone would have caught the mistake. LOL

Ellen ~
I've enjoyed your comedy for years & your show never disappoints.
The other day, I was watching your 800th show (congrats!) and I heard you say something that stopped me dead in my tracks. You said with a huge smile "yes, I'm engaged, I've been engaged for a long time...I can't wait until it's legal to get married"
I thought that was a horrible thing for any person to ever have to say.
Although I disagree that 'marriage' is defined as being between a man & a woman, I guess in some ways I've come to understand how some people may view it as such. And although I thought it was sad that it was necessary, if a vote to 'legalize' gay marriage was the only way to fix it, then so be it. And when prompted, I've voted to do just that.
Despite the fact that I'm not gay, I don't see why anyone's basic human rights should be denied - so long as they're good, decent human beings - just because someone else has decided that who they choose to love is 'inappropriate'.
Each day on your show, you promote being good to one another, laughter & doing the right thing. Your tireless efforts to raise money for charity & how you treat people are an inspiration to us all. You are not only a role model for how women should be, but how people everywhere should be. And I just don't understand why you're not considered 'equal' simply because you're gay.
I wish you well & I hope society realizes the error of it's ways soon.
dear ellen,
i love watching your show(shown here at dinnertime, and replays at noontime) because it's a "feel good" kind of show. the dancing part is the one that is unique.
we enjoyed your "12 days of christmas" show too, wherein you made so many people happy.
what i love the most is when you feature gifted kids, and how i love their antics and candor.
when will you visit our country, and have a show here? then we'll get the chance to be on your show and DANCE!
thanks ellen, for making people happy!

No matter how bad my day is, when I see your show my frown automatically turns upside down! Love you Ellen! Keep on keep'in on!
Ellen, about 2weeks ago I sent in a message to you about my granddaughter, Nicolette, who was very interested in dating one of the Jonas Brothers, since you had them on your show and the group mentioned that they would go out with one of their fans. I mentioned to you about all her qualifications,(as follows-She is smart, honest, kind loving, has frequent flyer miles, funny, understanding, not an asker for attention, sweet good Catholic girl, loves their music, sings her self, very attractive, beautiful brown eyes, and a very pleasant girl to be with, whose parents come originally from Morris County in New Jersey and so was her grandparents whom are originally born and raised in New Jersey, with that in mind, I think she has something in common with the Jonas Brothers. Nicolette would love to meet them somewhere or would love to e-mail them someway, with your help. Right now she could use some sort of estatic news to put her in a unbelieveable state to help her to get out of a big dilemna which she is facing right now between her and her father, who does everything to making it miserable as he can for her. He bearly gives her mother money support and will not give her a penny more. She is in the middle of this dilemna and she should not be. Ellen, I know with your help you could make her day with your help someway. From Nannyglasses Arlene.

I wanted you to know I totally loved the outfit you wore for your 800th show. You looked absolutely beautiful!!!!! You always look good in all black - goes very well with your hair. Also I have seen a couple of all white outfits that compliment your hair. You ROCK!! I look forward to your show because I laugh so hard. I always tell my doctor the best medicine for people is laughter - just watch the Ellen Show and all aches and pains go away for the full hour you are on the air.
Keep up all the good work you do for all of us who enjoy your humor and just laughing out loud, the rest of the family look at me like what is going on...even the dog gives me strange looks.
thanks for being you
Dear Ellen.
Im writing to you from my school guidance office, from Saint John NB, Canada.
In March 2006, my good friend Leo McPhee died, because of a game called "space Monkey". It had been a hard 2 years, and im still getting over it. Leo's mom Rose, his dad Danny, and his sister Danielle, have been helping us kids since his death cope with our feelings.
They personally, are my guardian angels, and I thank god for them everyday.
Now the reason why I am telling you this, is because on May 18, 2008, The city of Saint John is planning a walk, to stop this deadly game. What I ask from you, is there any way, you can help us spread the word to everyone about this game?
It would mean so much. Thank you very much, and god bless.
Love Always
Vanessa Miller
Hi Ellen,
I work 12 hour night shifts and I force myself to stay awake to see your show. It is hard but I make it most of the time. I am 65 yrs. old, old as corn and black pepper. I just want to tell you that I love your show and I love you. You are a kind giving person and appreciate all the things you are doing for mankind. I laugh and I cry with you. You are
Number 1 in my book. Dancing is one of my loves too, however I don't get to do it often. Ellen,
God bless you and I know he loves you.
Sincerely,

Hi Ellen,
I want to Thank You, for putting up the name of the song you dance to everday, the artist and album information. You know, because of you doing this, I now get to the know the name of the song and the artists who sings the tunes. Anymore on the radio stations here.. they rarely say what the names or who the artists are sing the songs are. So Kudos to you Ellen. There were so many songs I liked, but I never knew the names until your show started to post them this past year..
I was also wondering if you would be so kind to give me a shout out, and wish me luck. I am facing surgery on May 27th. at Univ of Cleveland Hospital, in Cleveland, Ohio. I may have to have a complete hystrectromy.. depending what the Dr. may see when they start to poke around. I have had a rough time of it, ever since my mom passed away on Christmas Day of 2006... it has been a rippled effect. Last Aug 17, 2007 I had to have my thyroid removed, Jan 2, 2008, some young punk tried to break down my apt door. My 2000 toyota corolla "check engine" light keeps coming on, It's like every month something just keeps happening. Like enough already. So, I thought maybe just maybe if you could Wish Me Well. Maybe my luck will change for the Better. I have watched your show since it began and tape it everyday, so sometimes, I watch you twice. Congratulations on your 800th show, I hope you are around for another 800 shows, and that I will be too... Thanks Ellen...
Luv Always

Hi Ellen,
As a life long Chicagoan/Ellen Degeneres fan, I am writing to you because I have really been disheartened by this whole "Ellen in Chicago" ticket situation. Since your show began, I have written to you asking you to visit Chicago. When you announced that you were coming, I thought I was going to have a heart attack! I signed up online for tickets immediately.
When I started reading the boards, I found out that some people have already received tickets. I thought tickets were on a first come, first serve basis, but that doesn't appear to have been the case.
Also, why are you giving tickets to so many non-Chicagoans? I have come across multiple comments on the boards from people in other states that are getting tickets. Isn't this show supposed to be for Chicago and its people??? Why are people from Oregon, California, etc. getting tickets before Chicagoans???
Most importantly, and as much as I love the Deep Dish Dig game, why are you giving tickets away to people in your audience? Most of these people seem to be from California and they are already at a taping of your show! I don't get it.
I love you to death and no matter how hard I try, I can't get mad at you. But, as a life long Chicagoan/Ellen fan, this whole ticket situation has really left a sour taste in my mouth. Maybe you could tape more than one show here?
Debbie
HI ELLEN, FIRST LET ME SAY YOU HAVE A GREAT SHOW, AND MY WIFE IS A HUGE FAN.TODAY WE WERE WATCHING YOUR SHOW AND YOU SAID HOW MUCH YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE MARRIED.IF YOU WOULD DO A SHOW IN CANADA ALL YOUR FANS UP HERE WOULD GET TO SEE YOU LIVE AND YOU HAVE A LOT OF FANS UP HERE. Hi Ellen, (subject: David Beckham)
I'm writing to you, all the way from Sydney Australia. I love your show. It's enjoyable and fun. I'm writing to say that I'm very jealous that David Beckham gave you his soccer boots. I'm a great fan of David and I've been trying to grab something of David on ebay (especially shoes, but with no luck). If you're ever wanting to give them away please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks.
Dear Ellen, A while ago CBS news had a segment on Social Security Disability and how so many were getting denied it and you need to do a snow or something on it and come up with some ideas to help many like me. I was diagonosed with a spinal compression in the neck area which has affected all of my nerves and I now walk with a cane for balance, have a lot of painful days, It cost me my job, all of my insurance etc. We just ended up moving out of our home as my husband has been disabled for years, and moved in with my daughter who only has a one bedroom home and we now live in her dining room! I seem to hit a rock wall every time I attempt to get any help and I know there are several out there like me that so deserperately need help! Social Security tells me it can take up to 18 months to be heard by a judge and we needed help yesterday
Ok Ellen,
I Have To Know.... are you a non-smoker or not?? I've been waiting to hear since you were hypnotized to stop smoking on your show. I stopped smoking when you did, after 43 years!!! And I did it cold turkey! You had the perfect oppertunity to let us know when you were talking with Ewan McGreggor (I hope thats right!!) I mean, he said he had quit by being hypnotized, and I waited with bated breath, will she say it now??? Has she quit?? Please let me know!
Take care lady, you still don't realize how much you mean to your fans! And I'm one of your biggest!
Dear Ellen,
You should check out "funlol" and look for "Japanese lunch boxes (funpics)." I think that you would appreciate these pictures!
You're the greatest!
Hey Ellen,
Just entered the hybrid contest and tried to "download" a photo without my teenagers help...I don't think it worked and have no idea how to "download" anything...if your team has any helpful hints let me know. I was trying to send a cute photo of my two basset hounds because I don't have any photos of myself...thanks for the help...BK
hey ellen, this is one of your fans (consider the obvious) anyway, just wanted you to know that although i dont watch your show everyday, (us teens have some busy lives-aka reading), but i really love your show. you are hilarious. i mean, almost as funny as me, which seems kind of impossible, but whatever. i was just wondering, if my funny friend and i made a comedy video thing, since thats what we do on our spare time, how cool are we, if i could send it in. thanx, shelby, the hottie (dont deny it)
so cool we have the same name, well mines in the middle. I did not type in yesterday the 23rd for what I did good and kind. I gave to the Ronald McDonald house, and sent a feel better card to my oldest daughter. I am really hoping this is where I am supposed to be doing this. But today I gave to toys for tots and save a cat named Bob. I was at my doctors appt. I got there early so I was the only one there. Wexford, PA. So here comes this orange tabby cat, I open my car door he jumps in. He had on a collar with his name a phone number and address. I was far from where I live Ellwood City, PA. So I left call the number the mail box is full. I leave him in my car go to my my Drs. appt. and see if they no where I could bring him. I can keep him, I have two dogs since babies, a chow and australian shepard, they would not like Bob!! So the place I have to go to is an hour away. I go. It is a vet hospital. They say they can not keep him. I say well can you help me tell me where to take him. So i wait. They get ahold of the owner, he does not want him. He keeps dropping him off, people keep bringing him back. He tells them to tell me to put him back out side, I cry can't do it. I tell them to tell him to come get and bring him to the shelter where they told me to go so he can go to a good home. If they did not want him in the first place
they should not have got him. I hate that. I too, love animals. I hope he goes to a good him. As always great show, again you made my day.
Love ya,and God Bless
Nancy
Hey Ellen,
I am sitting here in South Carolina, watching the Boston Red Sox, (long story), and they are behind at the top of the ninth- and as the other team is coming up- I find myself sitting here- saying and DOING "WALK OFF" without a seconds thought. I am missing your show-- and started laughing out loud at how much I cope with everyday things with a sense of humor thanks to you! I have a good one- but OMG you do add inspiration! Thanks! GO SOX!

Love a big fan for many years Patsy
Dear Ellen
Don't know if you are doing anything for mothers on Mother's Day, but I would like to nominate my husband, Tom Patterson. We have been married 36 years on June 3 (we were so young, I believe 12 - no actually we were both 19 and lived next door to each other from the time we were 12). My husband absolutely adores you, and if weren't for your being gay, he would probably dump me and come and get you. He never misses your show, and I try to get home in time to watch it. Twenty years ago he started what was the beginning of chronic back syndrome with two surgeries (1988). He pretty much went downhill from there. He has had a total of 6-8 back surgeries. He was able to work again for two short periods of time. He's been on disability and social security since around '96 or '97. His back doesn't allow him to do much, but we have three adopted children that were our foster children (we were foster parents for 19 years). One of our girls is a 14-year-old handicapped child, and our baby girl is 8, and she was special needs when she was younger. Tom is the house husband and (mom) and dad to our two girls. He keeps up on our laundry, plans meals, cooks, cleans up dishes, and cleans house even though it is actually hard on him. Actually he's a better housewife than I ever was. Ha!! I loved watching all the soaps and eating bon-bons (not really). I went back to school at the age of 48 and graduated with a degree in medical transcription at the age of 50. I have worked ever since for the county coroner's office. This pays for our insurance, which we have always needed so badly because of the medical bills. I love my job (most people are creeped out from it), so Tom allows me to do what I love and he takes care of everything else. He is an awesome husband and father - incidentally, we also have two biological sons (29 & 23) and our other adopted son is 18. Unfortunately, he suffers from bipolar disease, and we don't see a lot of him. Didn't mean to go into a huge history of our family, but it helps to understand why Tom is so awesome. We have a strange family dynamic and are very far from normal. But we keep it together in good times and bad times. I just thought that if you recognized moms in any way, you might recognize Tom too.
You are so great, Ellen - you have brought a clean and fun show to the network.
Love
Cindy Patterson
Hi Ellen,
You make my day!! I laugh sometimes to the point of tears, happy tears! You are truly a wonderful person.
I am a cheerleading coach for the local high school in White Lake Mi, Lakeland High School, and for the past 3 years, the cheerleading team has been a part of the Relay For Life Cancer Walk. It is a 24 hour event that the girls participate in. They walk/run (some for all 24 hours)and they pitch tents and have a luminary ceremony to in honor of cancer victims as well as survivors. Cancer has taken the life of one of our girls Mom and has struck in a few others lives. Is it possible for you to make a donation to the American Cancer Society on behalf of our cheerleading team?
We would greatly appreciate anything you can do.
Thank you for your time,
Janice Janssen
Good Morning Ellen,
I am like a huge fan of yours along with the other million fans! You are such an inspiration to me and so many people because of your willingness to be totally authentic...the "real deal" and yet so admired and worshipped. My mom and I have a dream to attend your show someday. You will be in Chicago next week and I think I have entered every contest that was offered to try and get 2 tickets. I want to surprise my mom for mothers day and fly her here from North Carolina. I know it will happen someday because it is a strong desire and I truly believe that if we let the universe know what we truly desire in our hearts, our dreams can and will come true.
Thank you for being you!! Namaste Donna
Hi Ellen
just thought I'd send you some ideas fae Bonnie Scotland, think it would be an absolute hoot to see you and the Big Yin (that's Glaswegian by the way) aka Billy Connolly to show your moves on your show. Even better have the Proclaimers on and you could get the whole place bouncing with I'm gonna be (500 miles). Also I know you had Rod Stewart on and I'm sure he mentioned his favourite soccer team (Glasgow Celtic) I think you would look fantastic (as you always do) with a Celtic shirt on so I'll do the honours and get one over to you. By the way think you should bring your show to the Edinburgh Festival as we Scots to laugh, dance, sing and occasionally toss big bits of wood in the air for no apparent reason and have a general shin dig. Lang may yer lum reek Ellen
x
P.S. Your show is the best in the UK even better than Parkinson and he's regarded as a chat show legend!! You are an honorary Scot Ellen McDegeneres
Hi Ellen!
I am an ardent fan of your show, it is amazing and wonderful of you, all the things that you do to make people happy. Each time I watch your show you amazes me more. I am too far away and air ticket is way too expensive to be in your wonderful show but nevertherless it is always touches me and put a smile on my face at the end of the show. Keep up the good and wonderful show!!!
All my love,
Hani
Hey Ellen-
I just want to thank you so much for getting me into trouble with my wife today! She watched your show and heard how a husband emailed to get his wife tickets- boy did I hear about it!!! My wife Erin and her sister Megan love your show so much, I actually can't talk to her when it's on. I know they have tried to get tickets lot's of times before with no luck. We live a couple of hours from Chicago so this woud be the perfect Mother's Day ( get me out of trouble) present. So Ellen please get me out of the dog house, belive me I've been there before and it's not fun! Please help me make wife happy, she does so much for me and my daughter I just want to do something special for her and I know this would earn me lot's of bonus points!!!!!! Thanks Ellen- Charli
Hey Ellen or incredible staff executive reading this,
Friends and I were out recently as "Stand By - Rif Raf" and were awarded tickets for May 20, 2008. While we were there the place was packed and it was a no brainer we'd have to return. Hillary Clinton was the special guest that day. Do you know what it is like being checked over by the Secret Service???? Anyway, the Rif Raf room was really a fun time. Thank You! We danced and had a blast. However, while waiting outside all the seats were taken. So we sat in the VIP seating were NOBODY was sitting. WE all know we are VIPs so didn't think that was an issue. Though we were told by your staff later that we were NOT Very Important People when a limo brought in four people from Bakersfield, CA. No offense, but we were from Menifee, Temecula and Hemet, California. We know it isn't LA but COME ON! Bakersfield vs us?? We paid for our own gas and now must do it again willingly.
Would you be so kind to at least let us feel as if we are VIPs?? We are not asking for a limosine (if you want to throw that in we would not object). We survived the Rif Raf room and loved the experience. I'm pleading as the ring leader of the ticket pursuers. Please let us be VIPs. Each one of us deserves it. One person in our group in going through a divorce (she is a cellist in the local Inland Symphany Orchestra). Another lost her home recently and car last year in foreclosure procedings. Another lost her job, husband lost his job, father died and dog died. I had a husband who just retired as of February 1st, 2008 and is driving me crazy (my goal is to go BACK TO WORK). I'm not making any of this up. The "ellen show" is the only thing that makes us laugh. Sad but true.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon. We dance like we love it and need to compared to the boring VIPs from Bakersfield.
Make it your best day ever!
Linda Newman
Hiya Ellen!
I just wanted to drop you a few lines to say, "I love your show." Your FUNTASTIC!! also, I hope my entry for the GMC YUKON HYBRID took! I downloaded a pic of my 1989 Jeep Cherokee Sport. But, the sight gave me no confirmation that my entry was accepted. Hope you can check on that for me. Let me know if I need to re-enter. I am embarrassed to go to town in my Jeep. It's driver door is hanging on one hinge. My break lights went out a few days ago. The radio has a mind of it's own! The air conditioner is a rolled down window. I haven't registerd the license plate (due 06)b/c I do not have a title to the Jeep. The key is stuck in the ignition. Tried WD-40 didn't work. lol The biggest thing is I have to fill with water to even start/driver the darn thing.
A-E ways get back too me on my entry for the Hybrid giveaway.
Yours,
Nancy

Dear Ellen, I have 3 children. One of which just recently told me that he is gay. My son is 13 years old. I love him very much and I tell him he should be who he is. That is much easier said than done. We live in one of the worst cities in Illinois and my son is constantly harrassed and picked on. His grades have suffered a lot because of this. He sometimes become so depressed and I try to talk to him and let him know that he is not the only one that is gay. I feel so sorry for my son. He truly is a wonderful child. I sit up at nights and cry. My heart hurts so bad for him. No child should have to endure peoples ignorance. I pray that he be strong and come out on top. If you can help me at all please let me know. Thank You. You are a wonderful person.
I'VE ASKED 50 TIMES AND I WILL ASK AGAIN! WILL YOU HELP ME TO MEET ANGELINA JOLIE? SHE'S MY ALL-TIME HERO. GOD BLESS. BY THE WAY, I'M FROM LOUISIANA! EAT CRAWFISH!

Hi there Ellen.
My name is Kristen Hill. I’m from Chandler, AZ and I have a problem.
Bored yet?
Well I’m a senior this year and I recently got accepted to the school of my DREAMS, which would be Purdue University of West Lafayette, IN. And if you can tell that’s two different states. So even though I got accepted to one of the best schools in the universe-personal opinion- I have to pay out-of-state tuition, which unfortunately is around thirty-six thousand a year. That’s not including my housing; I’m not staying in a dorm so that in two years I can apply for residency and only pay twelve-thousand. I filed my FASFA forms and was not eligible for Financial Aid. Apparently my mother makes too much money, which I’ll be honest is around the fifty thousands. But she’s a single parent and I know that she can’t afford to put me in Purdue without going broke next year. As for my father, he doesn’t want me to go to Purdue because it is too expensive. I understand that but I also understand the importance of great education, and having a degree from a school like Purdue is worth my last desperate attempt at getting some financial help. I know that asking for money isn’t the best thing to do when you do not know the person, but I filed for aid and scholarships and so far I’ve only got twenty-three hundred.
I wish I was part of an organization so at least to someone I would be worth the donation. I promise that if you can help me or find a company that can help, I will spend every day giving back to the community. I would be the most thankful person in the world because I understand that you just can’t be giving money to anyone and same goes for companies. I’ll give you any information you need so that I can prove to you that I indeed need this help and that I have been accepted to Purdue. And to add to my desperateness I need to let Purdue know I accept their admittance by May 1st. If this letter does not get through to you or you find that at this moment you are unable to help me, I will accept Purdue and pull out as many loans as I need to so I can reach all my dreams.
Thank you for your time. I greatly appreciate you and your show, which I watch religiously with my brother. Have a spiffyfanstactular day.
Love ,
Kristen
PS.
Spiffyfanstactular means Spiffy-Fantastic-Spectacular. And I have thought of a not-real-organization, Help-Kristen -get-an-Education. (It rhymes) (:
Hi Ellen
I'm asking for a signed tee-shirt or coffee mug from you to be raffled off for a fund raiser. Centerville Iowa will be having their American Cancer Society Relay for Life fund raiser on June 21st. Our team is is trying to raise a lot of money for this. Please help us out. thank you
Hi Ellen,
Just wanted to let you know that your wonderful talent brings a smile to my face. I don't want a thing. Just remember that your gift and talent make a wonderful contribution to the world.
I love that you care so much for animals. What a plus for an already wonderful person.
My husband and I rescued a golden retriever after Katrina. She was abused terribly and left out in the storm. When we got her she was about to leave this world. However, isn't it wonderful what love and devotion can accomplish. She is doing quite well. She thinks I rescued her but in reality she rescued me! I would love to send you a picture of her but I don't think you can attach it here.
If you are in New Orleans anytime soon, come see us. (I'm sure your talented staff can find me)I am in a little town called Ponchatoula, Louisiana. You might have gone to school with my sisters at Grace King High.
Again,Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent of laughter with the world.
Much love,
Roberta Hoppmeyer
P.S. You know, you look alot like Princess Diana! Has anyone told you that?
Dear Ellen. I wanted to thank you for enlightening me to the young man from England-Andrew Johnston. I was brought to tears with your brief clip of him singing. I then looked him up online and again, he moved me to tears.
How can it be that just a few seconds of his angelic voice is so impactful?
I hope you can get him on your show so that millions of people can feel it too. We need to moved.
God bless you,
Lauren
Hi Ellen:
I wanted to let you know you're show is a highlight for me and when I work from home, I make a point of tuning in (and dancing!) I thought you might want to see what life is like for non-celebrity 50 year old women in the United States. If you wondered: "What would it be like if Portia and I lived in the country as non-celebrities?"
I have a daughter who in a week must decide which college she will attend for theatre and English. She may be a couple hours away or 12 hours away. I am trying to support either decision, but secretly feel heartbroken about the farther university! My 15 year old son has a rock band (in a barn) and I am surprised how much I enjoy hearing them play! There is nothing as beautiful as raw creative energy – harnessed in teen boys. They act all cool, but still run around and play outside after practice. Next week is my 21st wedding anniversary. I walk about 15 miles a week, sometimes more. Each summer we can about 100 quarts of organic tomatoes from our garden. I own my own company as an environmental scientist. I live in a big old country home in a small town near the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia mountains and try to be positive about life. Your show helps me stay thinking that way! I attribute being positive to my good health. Just wondered if you ever thought - what would my life look like if I lived in VA with 2 teens? You and Portia are welcome here anytime to visit - but we have no air conditioning – so be warned it is hot if you come to see local fireworks this summer. Even still - you're both welcome!
Life in the non-celebrity world,
Jilly
Hi Ellen,
I love watching your shows, especially when you made children face light up with the gift you gave them.
Hi Ellen, Hows it going. Well I am writing you this to tell why I would love the hybrid. I am a younger mother of two my fiance and I are trying to svae up for our wedding but repairs to our house and repairs to our car keep making it impossible. A new car would take the worries away of driving a unsafe car with my two small children in it go away. Ellen the main reason is because I am really into saving the earth and a hybrid is the way to go. I want mym children to grow up on a safe healthy planet and if everyone would step up then that could happen. I love you and your show. GO GREEN! hug a tree save the planet!
Keri Young
Dear Ellen, I love you and I love your show. I'm a 51 year old grandma who needs to exercise and I had the greatest idea for you and for me! I can't help but dance with you and your audience each morning. I look forward to it each and every day. It gets my blood going and then it hit me! You should do a 30 minute dance video (with an audience, of course). Your music is great and your dance style rocks. You'd make another million bucks and I and those like me would have a great new fun way to kick the ol' metabolism in high gear. Thanks for your consideration of my idea and keep up your good works. You're great. Love, Sam

Hi Ellen my name is Chris Amarante, im emailing you in regards to winning the GMC Yukon Hybrid, now im sure u get alot of these :) but i would just like to let you know that i watch your show EVERY morning at work. Im a busser at Gun Club Cafe in Royal Palm Beach Florida and we have Tv's in the restaurant so im able to see you everyday. Its a wonderful feeling to see someone so happy and thoughtful to people that you dont even know, you are a very kind person and in turn that puts a smile on my face every morning. Im 19 years old and ive lived in FL almost my whole life, I had lived in Boca Raton for a long time and my mom had decided to move to Sebastian FL which is 3 almost 4 hours north of Boca and it crushed me! :( i was in my senior year at highschool and i didnt know what to do, i had become very depressed and just stopped going until we moved. I had no choice though because it was getting to expensive for us to still live there so i had to go with her. I didnt want to start a new school because it was my senior year and i would have known no one up there so i started to work at Quiznos and i had used my bonds from when i was a baby to get a car which is a 1997 Oldsmobile achieva, let me tell you looks can be decieving! my mom had to help me so much with repairs to the car all the way from leaks to getting a new vehicle pass lock system because my car would not start, all the repairs had cost almost another car and i had gotten the car for $2800, Ive been trying to get my life back on track and i had gotten my GED and now work in west palm beach living at my girlfriends house, You would put such a huge motivation in my life to win this car it would be a dream come true, i plan on starting college in the fall and its going to be real hard to work and go to school to save up for a new car, and mine is coming to an end probly very soon! :(. You have plenty of these to read and im sure its going to be hard for you to pick someone, but i just want you to know it would mean the world to me, thank you so much ellen for just taking the time out of your day to read this.
Hi ellen,
I just wanted to say how much I love your show. I have 4 year old twin boys, a 21 month old boy and I am 7 months pregnant with a little girl. I get to watch your show everyday while the twins are at school and my other son is sleeping. Your show brightens my day, and I always have a good laugh when watching. I laughed so hard the other day with the marshmallow game I almost tinkled my pants. Who comes up with that? I was wondering if you knew how to do the a dance called, "It's time for the perculator?" We had a birthday party where I work and the dj played that song. I had never heard it but the dance was crazy. It is something I would love to see you do!
I was also wondering how to enter the yukon hybrid giveaway. We like so many other family's are struggling to make it. I am so scared we are going to loose our house to foreclosure any day now and on top of that we can no longer afford our vehicle. I have to drive my twins home from school everyday because there is no bus avaialble for them. I would love to take a chance on that truck especially with our growing family.
Thanks for making me laugh daily! Somedays I think the baby laughs with me when were watching your show.
Take care!!
Hi Ellen!
I am writing about the Hybrid Truck you are giving away! Oh how my husband and I would love it. We just had our third son and the more room in a car the better.....well, I am not actually asking for the truck for myself but for my Dad. My Dad is an advid baseball coach and spends all his time coaching kids at baseball. He is lucky that he makes it to the park with the car he drives and yet he never complains. With all of his baseball gear he can never take it all out to the park because of the lack of room in his car. He is so deserving of this!
Thank you for your consideration!
Hi Ellen. I'm writing you in regard to the hybrid truck you are giving away. I live in Florida with my husband, my son is 2, my step daughter is 20, and my step son is 13. My husband and I found out 3 years ago that my step children are not his biological children (after 16 years of thinking they are.) My step daughter has a disability and we have been taking care of her and she has lived with us for about 5 years because her mom wasn't taking care of her. At the age of 15 she had a shunt malfunction and had a heart attack and almost died. We have since taken over her health and she has lost 50 pounds and is doing great! She will always have to live with someone as she can not live on her own due to her disability. We got guardianship of her and got her life back on track, even though she and her brother aren't our kids...but they are and always will be.
We would like to have the hybrid to help fit our growing family.
Thanks for considering us!
The Wallace family
Hi Ellen,
you are really amazing and my daughter and i love watching your show everyday. i heard that you are giving out a hybrid yukon and i thought of joining the contest for the family.
i am pregnant with our second baby and i stay home to take care of our 12 month old daughter. my husband is the only bread winner and we cannot afford buying a new car. i sometimes pity my husband who does the groceries every weekend with his mini cart. it is really very hard for us to go out and travel especially with my condition and preparing & bringing all the baby stuff for the trip. i am thinking that it will be all the more difficult for us once our second baby arrives. it is for this reason that i joined the contest to somehow try our chances of making things a little bit easier for the family. i do hope you would consider me for this contest.
more power to your show and keep up the good work!

Hi Ellen, my name is Cherri I was watching your show today and saw that you are giving away a Yukon.I have been having the hardest time with not having a decent car for too long now.I live in a samll house with three kids.I have had to give my car away to my oldest daughter when she moved away to Oklahoma with her husband who is in the army.I now have had to be borrowing my brother In-laws car because of such amoney trouble I am in.My daughter Stevie is in travel ball and is a terrific player in softball. The only thing is that it is very costly.I have to use a samll car and with going all over the place traveling I have no place in my car to put her bag and equiptment. We have been thinking of alternatives also like, renting a car but we just dont have the money for it.My husband Steve is a construction worker and as you may know he has had trouble finding a job since most all the construction workers have been layed due to lack of building homes right now. I really need a new car and just have no money to get one.As you may know, its so hard to tell a child or your own child no.My kids have had to here these words so many times "No,we dont have money for that right now".I feel that if I had a new car that its just one thing that would be taken off my long list of things I need. For we are just barely making ends meet. If I dont get this car I think it will be a long time before I could come up with the money to buy one myself and that would mean that my daughter would have to give up her dream of becoming a college softball player.I really want my daughter to be able to become the person she wants. She has already given up so much over MY money issue. Thank you very much for listening to me Ellen it really means a lot to me.
Cherri
Dear Ellen,
Like everyone else I was looking how I could win what would be a dream truck for me and my two boys. I just spelled truck, b/c a 5th grader is smarter than me when it comes to spelling (let me scroll up to these other emails)Hybrid Yukon. All jokes aside thank you for your laughter and making life light hearted. I would normally be at work tonight, but I'm home recovery with strep throat and was able to watch your show today and it makes me laugh. I'm just overcoming some of life's toughest lessons yet at the age of 37, and there was a point that I think I would have rather died, but I thank God that I'm here and I'm a survivor. And like you said on today's show I do look at the clouds and the birds and enjoys what nature brings everyday. I don't take it for granted anymore, b/c none of us know how long we are given on this earth, so thank you for the laughter that you bring to people through their tv everyday. We need to remember, material things are just that, they are things! They do not provide long lasting happiness!
Hi Ellen,
I am sitting here watching your show and I love to see that someone who has the influences is taking and insentive to get other people involved in helping to not only preserve but help restore all the negative things we have done to this wonderful planet that we are on. As I walk down the road everyday it amazes me all the trash that is along the sides of the roads out in peoples yards and in the trees. Well since I live in alaska we have to wait a little longer than most states for our snow to melt. But yesterday I went out in the yard (I live in four plex) and did some cleaning up. It disgusted me so much to see that my neighbors would also be some of these people that just throw stuff anywhere. If we all just pitched in a little it would make a world of difference. If we don't all do our part we will not have this beautiful earth. Now as far as the hybrid goes that would be so awesome!!! about a year ago I bought a car used for about 1700. Well little did I know that My son whom is about a foot taller than me. He doesnt really fit in it.
And since there is 4 of us he has to sit in back and is constantly banging his head into the hatchback ha ha . I feel so bad for him but its all I could afford at the time. As much as I love my car my kids want one they can fit in. I would so love to have a new truck!!
Anyways besides the hybrid you are the best!!! Keep up all the wonderful things you do and keep smiling...oh and my daughter loves you and wants to meet you. She wants to be a singer in hollywood one day and watches you all time.

Hi Ellen...Today is earth day and I have a suggestion...since we're trying to eliminate plastic shopping bags, which all stores use...whether it's the clothing shops or a home depot...why don't these stores give away ecco friendly bags...they are the ones truly responsible for the plastic bags...I don't want paper due to the tree's needed to make them...so, I think that the shops where we make our purchases should give us the right kind of parcels...Thank you for taking the time to read my note...
Goood Afternoon Ellen,

Anyways, My Son & His Fiance are Planning to get married this coming Sept 5th. I am having a very rough time, as I am not well all the time, due to Domestic Violence inncodents, Beatings, so my Bodies, UGH,, anyways, (enough of that), they are struggling as all others are at this time, but, Do you have any other Ideas for me Pleeeez help lol, as I have to pay for their Cake and it's almost a "GRAND" , If I have to pay the rest of my life I will, but geeeezh I dont of course live on much on disability, also these 2 Young Mature Adults, have my "Lil Angel", My Grandaughter, whom which is 4, intelligent, and Beautiful... and they are having to pay for their own wedding, and of Course, My Lil Angel is going to be the "Flower Girl".
I gave My Son threw out these Years of raising him to become the Fine Young Man he is to this day, all the Love in the World. He did without alot of things, we did without food, due to running etc, anyways, If I Had One Dream to come true, "I Honestly dont even No what the Hybrid is, but I know My Son and His Fiance do, lol, but for "Just One Dream To Finally Come True To My Son , as I Love him so Much and Admire His strength for what this Young Man has been Through, and To do without so much growing up, (Which The Love Is the Most, and One of the Best Things anyone can have in life, as all other items are inmaterial,But Ive Never, Never Been able to Do anything Big or This Nice for Him, It would Sure Be A Great & Wonderful Wedding Present, & A Great Getaway Car" hehehe... lol.. anyways,

Dear Ellen,
I was at the 6 o'clock taping of your show on April 15th with my family. Loved the show, especially seeing "Ugly Betty" she is adorable and certainly not ugly! We all really enjoyed the Young at Heart group, and am looking forward to seeing the documentary.
My son, David Stern, bid and won the VIP tickets at an EQUA charity auction just to take me, because he knows I am a big fan of yours. We especially want to thank Claudia who helped with making our arrangements.
Ellen, you are a real class act!
Gloria Ellis
P.S. As a proud mama, I have to tell you my son is the publisher of "IN Los Angeles" and "Frontiers" magazines. He also left you a copy of the children's book "The Tailor's Gift" which he wrote, and I hope you received it.

Hi Ellen,
I really want to win the Yukon Hybrid, My hubby and I are in our late 40s and we live in Las Vegas, but my husband commutes to Los Angeles for school now that the children are grown up, we are trying to live the dreams we had to give up to support them. anyways, A hybrid would really save on travel expenses, not to mention the envirenment and I would love to travel with him sometimes, since all of my family is in L.A. and I miss them.
Thanks Ellen,
Rock on Dory
Hey Ellen,
My 16 month old son and I watch your show religiously, Little man dances whenever you do.
We are writing because my husband desperately needs that yukon hybrid. A year ago, almost to the day I had a seizure, and was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer. Since then I have had to quit my job, undergo 2 brain surgeries, one I was awake for. I have had radiation, and I am still going through chemo. Through all the hospital stays, and doctor appointments,my husband has never complained. He has never left my side, and was always my smiling face. Right now we are behind in every bill we owe, that yukon would really help him out. Truthfully, I am looking for an amazing way to say thank you. Plus that would be the greatest 3rd year anniversary gift ever!
Thanks for making the world a better place!!!
Hello Ellen!!!
My name is Alicia Swindle. I heard about the truck that could be won, and my mom really needs it. I see my mom stressing alot because she can never make it to the special activities that we attend to in school, or anything, and when I see my mom sad it really hurts me. I am 16 years old, and I am in the 11th grade. I have school dances all the time, but I haven't been to one yet, and transportation is part of the reason. Ellen it would be very helpful of you. That would probably be the greatest thing that has happened to my mom since I've been around to witness it. Ellen please hep my mom. Thanks for your time!!
Greetings Ellen,
As with many other email writers, I also have not found the missing Yukon link. I would give the Yukon to my son. I have plenty of sob stories but they never make people laugh and I'd much rather make people laugh than cry. You, indeed, have a remarkable gift for humor and sharing with the world, bless you. Thank you for bringing a lighter side to life's situations and for genuinely caring about animals, even people. I would hope someday to make you laugh and smile, as much as you have done for me.
Take Care,
Diane
Hi Ellen and Staff
My name is Laura,I am a new mother! I was driving a single cab truck. Which meant that my baby had no choice but, to sit in the front! I decided that it was just not safe at all so I took out all of my savings and put a down payment on an older Tahoe. Well, the dealership a month later decided that they were'nt able to find a bank that would finance me. So, they now are taking the car back and because I had driven it for a month, the money I put down was basically the money I would have paid for a rental car. So, they basically screwed me.
The one good thing that did come out of this is I can hopefully win a hybird or try and get someone to finance me a hybird. Because, I in the last past couple months since my son has been born have been becoming more earth friendly so that my son and all the other children of the world can live in a better clean world!
Bye the way I absolutely love your show! You crack me and my boyfriend up!
Hey Ellen,
I've been enjoying your show since day one and have always been tempted to try to win prizes online or to write to you, but I figure there's always someone out there with a better story or someone else who needs it more than I do. Well, when I saw on previous shows that you're giving away the new Hybrid, I would think to myself how awesome it would be to own it. Well, after todays show and after looking at that beautiful SUV again, I'm finally writing to you. I'm 25 years old, married to my high school sweetheart, we've been together for 7 years, and we have two children. A 5 year old and a newborn. My 5 year old and I watch your show and especially like the funny online things you find. Our favorite and we constantly remember the one with the guy that had fallen asleep on the chair and his "friends" flung him over to the neighbor's yard. Just wanted to let you know that you're doing an awesome job and whenever I'm feeling down or just need a laugh, I feel like I have a friend in you and I know I can aways count on your show to provide that.
Thanks Ellen.
Hi Ellen,
I want to start of by letting you know that I am such a big fan...
Ellen, My family and I just moved to the city of Gilbert, Az from Las Vegas, because of job a opportunity. Our move was within a month so we didn't have time to do alot of research, so we now live an hour from work and have to drive in traffic everyday.Ellen if we had the chancce to own a hybrid we would be one more car saving the earth and we will be saving alot of gas driving two hours everyday.
thank you Ellen..
HI ELLEN YOU MAY CALL ME CONEY OR WHATEVER - I AM ABOUT AS OLD AS DIRT BUT DON'T WANT TO BE PART OF IT YET--I WANT THE CAR SOOO BADDDLLY BECAUSE I LIVE IN MI AND ALL MY FAMILY LIVES IN IDAHO-MONT-AND WASH- BEFORE I DIE I HAVE TO GO HOME 1 MORE TIME AND NEED I SAY --CAN'T BUY GAS FOR MINE
Hi Ellen,
I don't get to watch your show, but I hear my mom talk about it often. I heard my mom talking about winning a truck, and she really needs it. She misses out on alot of stuff when it comes to my school activities, and other things that include her. She hasn't had a car in years. It's pretty stressful for her, and also all 5 of her children, because we dont get to go to many places, because we never have a way to get there. If you could bless my mom with some transportation, all 5 of her children including her would really appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read this...Alexia Jones
Hi Ellen,
My son Chris, his wife Amy and their 2 year old Ava and 11 month old Jake WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A HYBRID. Last year before Christmas Amy sent out a mass e-mail telling everyone she knew that their household was going green. She has done everything including throwing out cleaning supplies and replacing with earth friendly. For the children the following: cloth diapers, no plastic toys - only wooden, organic foods & clothing, earth friendly soaps, shampoos, lotions. They are really trying in so many ways Ellen to help our world and I sincerely think they deserve this vehicle. I think it is wonderful that they are teaching their children the importance of saving the earth. She drives a 5 year old Hyndai with 2 car seats in the back. Not much room for the grandparents (Cappy & Nina) when they visit them. Please consider these two for your contest. They would be wonderful role models for going green. I watch your show every single day. It makes me laugh & feel happy. Your guests are the best of the best. I have even learned some good dance moves. Best to you always for believing in yourself and others and your thoughtful heart. Thanks Ellen for taking the time to read this e-mail.
Sincerely,
Susan Haney
O.K i have a yukon Denali 2002. I love it! I have 4 boys of my own and a stepson (5). I spend almost 300 a month on gas and it kills us. Not only that. i never new this vehicle exsisted! Alot of the mothers i know have the same SUV as i(but newer) I want to make a difference and i want my kids to learn from me. I recycle as much as i can.let me tell you it's a pain in my side. I have 4!!!! Recycle bins a week and it's no fun to load them to the street in the rain(none stop crappy weather around here.)
My 2 oldest boys are very active with sports and i go to almost all their functions. Away games to much gas. I try to take as many kids back and fourth to and from practice.
I promise i will continue to make effort in doing my part & hope to influence other mothers on trading in the ozone eaters. I will also promis to have my custom made Hybrid sticker & The recycling way is natures way. We are one!! wanting this vehicle is totaly sefless i want to feel better about driving. Thank you
I am driving a 1990 Ford Tempo (that my sister bought for us), I have three girls in carseats. Whenever my husband and I decide to go anywhere as a family, we have to make two trips due the fact that all the car seat do not fit in the car at the same time. So, needless to say we don't go many places as a family.
We were suprised by our third child and found that it would actually save money if only one of us worked, because of the cost of childcare.
Financially we have been struggling, just making enough to diapers and rent. Eating has become a luxury for the adults not a necessity.
Winning a Hybrid Yukon would save us in gas (we live in San Diego, paying an ave of $4.00 per gallon) but would also give us room to go to the park as a family.
Dear Ellen: This World certainly needs more kindness, and we are going to be even more kind to those that we encounter. Your theme song for this "Kindness Challenge" should be the Jewel tune when she sings from her "Hands" - "In the end, only Kindness matters...." A kind word goes a lot further in making our lives on this Planet more pleasant. Keeping it simple is really the key to kindness. E.g. Holding the door open for the person behind you, letting someone enter in front of you in traffic. Doing these things without expecting a reward other than the warmness in your heart is the essence of Kindness. Booking Jewel to sing this beautiful song about kindness for your Kindness wrap-up show might be a producer's effort. Thank you for the kindness you offer this World in so many ways! Sincerely, Jim Clifton Brewton , AL.
i dont get the chance to watch you very often do to working as a second cook at a school. but when i do, you bring me to tears laughing. you are a real person not some hollywood snob!! better than oprah by a lifetime. i have looked for the hybrid contest but i have no luck. can you help?
HHHEEELLLOOOOO Ellen,
Looks like am not the only one that can not find the link to the Hybrid Yukon and from reading the other emails sounds like I'm not the only one that could use a BIG, black, gorgeous, gas saving, GMC Hybrid Yukon however I will tell you I'd be the proudest Hybrid owner out there if I won it from the Ellen Degeneres Show!
Keep on dancin!
Laura
Hey Ellen,
Today i watched your show and you mentioned that you are giving away a Yukon Hybrid. If my family was to win that it would help out a lot. I've been raised by my Mother and Grandmother and they have done soo much for me. Im 16, and all these 16 years they have gone out of there way to try to by me stuff that i like, i usually don't get it but i understand. I don't have a father and the two of them are probably better then any father anyways. But mothers day is coming up soon and i would love to pay them back for all the good stuff they have done for me by winning this Yukon Hybrid. As of right now my mom has a crappy 700 dollar 2 door jeep cheerokee that is going to break donw any second, so my mom and my grandmother share my grandmothers car, which is a 1990 cadilac. That isn't in very good condition either. Having a new vehicle for them to use and guarantee them from point ! to point B would be a really nice present.
Well Thank Ellen, and hopefully you pic my mother and grandmother to win this wonderful prize.
Hi Ellen,
I saw your show today and have been looking for a way to win the Yukon hybrid. I live in Detroit Michigan and work for the Detroit Public Library. My husband is a self-employed A/C mechanic. We have recently lost both vehicles due to constant mechanical problems. As you are well aware, the economy here is the worst in the country and there is no effective mass transit system. I am currently catching the bus to work and to take my six-year old son to school, and it takes 2 hrs each way every day. My husband cannot work because of lack of transportation-if a customer calls, he cannot go. I really hope you consider us for the Yukon-it would truly be an answer to our prayers! Thanks for all that you do, we love your show!
Hi Ellen,
Your shows are hilarious. I "LOVE" to see you put so many smiles on your audiences faces. There's never a dull moment in your hour. I just herd about your Yukon giveway. My Yukon was stolen 2 years ago while shopping at Costco for 45 minutes. Since I've been out on disability I haven't been able to purchase a new car for financial reasons. The car was a total lost. There was only 1 item I got back that was my baby daughter blanket that she is so attached to. It's called her Tinkie. It would be a sweet dream to have another Yukon.... May the person you choose be the Happiest.
I, too, would like a CHANCE to win a new.... anything so today I'll try for the hybrid. Where, on your site do I sign up. Thanks a bunch.
Hey Girlfriend ... I call all my "female friends" girlfriends. Just viewed your show this afternoon and heard about the GMC Yukon give-a-way. I have two twin sons, both of course are 24 yrs. old. They are fine young men and I have always wanted to get them each a new vehicle, but of course I couldn't afford to. They have purchased their own vehicles (used ones on their own, with money they have saved up working $8-$9 an hour jobs). They both have learned how to fix and maintain their vehicles on their own and through some college classes. They are both hard workers and have learned the real value of a dollar, especially when they have had to work for it.
I was a single parent for nine of their twenty-four years and even though it was hard at times, we were strong because we had each other. One of my sons once asked me if I had the choice to do it all over again ... would I? Yes, I answered of course. I am a firm believer that what doesn't kill you, only serves to make you stronger. Becoming their mom helped me grow up and take on a huge, but wonderful responsibility. I know you are only giving away one vehicle, but I would still love to put my name in the running so that I could give one of them a brand new vehicle of their own and maybe be able to buy the other one a new vehicle in time.
Thanks for hosting a fantastic afternoon talk show and even if I don't win ... I am still a loyal fan of the Ellen Show ... you've made me laugh and cry a little with some of your topics and guests. You go girl (friend).

Hi Ellen...I was just watching your show and saw the yukon that you are giving away and cannot find the link to enter. I really need a new car. I bought my car when I was single and I didn't need a lot of room, however, now I have a husband who is 6'6" and 7 week old boy that is growing so fast and anytime we go anywhere I have to pack up a whole room of stuff into my little car. We all just need a little more room not to mention the huge benefit of owning an earth friendly car.

Hey Ellen.
My name is Joe and i am 16 years old. I would have gotten my liscence on February 20th, but on my mom's birthday (my mom has also just been in remission for colon cancer), after my family and i went out to dinner, my sister and i got in a horrible car accident that ended up totaling our. My parents can't afford to get us a new one and driving everywhere has put both my parents in a bind. My dad drives and picks me up from high school, which is about 25 miles from my house. I am just a regular teenage guy who has had some unfortunate events stop him from obtaining the most important thing in life....his liscence.
I have always wanted an SUV and a hybrid one would be amazing, not only because it is good for the environment, but also because it is sooo sick. That's teenager for cool.
Thanks so much for your time and I truely love your show. Happy Earth Day!
always and forever a fan,
Joe
Hi Ellen I love your show I watch your show every chance I get. I was wandering How to win the yukon hybrid because I was tring to win it for my boyfriend. He drives a broken down pontiac sunbird convertable. He works very hard, but still can't affored to buy a new car.He helps support myself and my two teenage kids. He's always been there when I need help.I would like to do something really special for him.He has wanted a Yukon it seems like forever.Winning the Yukon would be perfect.

hi ellen!
i just saw on your show that you are giving away a hybrid yukon =)
I started my green home design and interior decor business a lil over a year ago and really would put this suv to good use.
i couldnt afford a hybrid when i started my business so i have a ford explorer to help me truck all the furniture, building materials, and accessories for my clients.
i feel so guilty & its so embarrassing that im promoting eco-friendly carpets, paints, and furniture but im driving this gas guzzler! I drive alot too, sometimes over 150 miles a day!
if you would be so kind to give this yukon to me, id be so so happy to give my explorer to a less fortunate family who needs it & doesnt drive as many miles as i do.
thanks so much for supporting earth day!
love, kris
Hi Ellen,
My name is Bobbie and I just turned 20. I am about to start my junior year of college, my major is early childhood education. I do have a rather newer car but it gets bad gas mileage and I drive home which is around 250 miles two to three times a month. I fill up my car a week and it costs 50 to 60 dollars and it just keeps going up. My parents don't have any money to help pay for school but they "make to much money" to get me adequate financial aide.So what I don't get in financial aide I have to pay for my school, housing, car note, insurance, so on with my own money and I work at a daycare and I don't make that much money. My dad died when I was 15 and my mom remarried but he has to pay child support on a child and he does not make that much money. I would really love a hybrid to help the environment and to help save money.I go to Texas State University.I plan go graduating in the Spring of 2010 and I want to teach first grade.I know that teachers do not make that much money but my heart is in it and I would really like to have a new car being how I won't be able to afford one for a while being a teacher and my future husband also wants to teach high school history.
I love everything you do and everything that your about. You are a great inspiration for all!!
Hello Ellen,
I would like to win the Yukon because I have been out of work since my fiancee passed away 2 years ago. I have been looking but haven't been able to land a position yet.
My current car is 16 years old and approaching 200,000 miles. I need a car to help me get a job and then transportation to go to work, daily.
Thank you for your consideratio.
Hey Ellen,
Love the show, watch it everyday...Like you haven't heard that before. Anyways, couldn't find the link for the chevy giveaway so I figured I would e-mail you since you read so many of them...I guess a couple other people decided to do the same. Well, my husband and I got hit head on when we first got together on our way to go camping in Big Sur, Ca. We are down to one car, a good one just small, and I would love to have that Chevy hybrid. Hopefully you consider me:)

HEY ELLEN, MY 17 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER AND I WATCH YOUR SHOW EVERY MORNING. SHE IS A DANCE MACHINE AND LOVES TO WATCH YOU SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THING. WE RECENTLY MOVED FROM SANTA BARBARA TO IDAHO BECAUSE MONEY WAS TIGHT AND WE ARE EXPECTING DAUGHTER #2. WE SHARE A CAR AND ALTHOUGH I HAVE FAMILY SOMEWHAT NEAR BY IN WA. MY CAR WON'T MAKE THE TRIP. WE DRIVE A 93 EXPLORER THAT GUZZLES GAS AND WE HAVE PUT MORE INTO IT THAN IT IS WORTH... MUCH MORE.IN FACT TODAY WE REPLACED THE FAN BELT AND LAST MONTH HAD TO GET ALL NEW TIRES. WE ALSO THREW ANOTHER $1000 INTO IT BEFORE WE LEFT FOR IDAHO, WHICH WE STILL OWE. I VOLUNTEER AT THE LOCAL HUMANE SOCIETY AND AM GOING TO FINISH UP MY SOCIAL WORK DEGREE IN SPRING WHEN MY RESIDENCY IS FINALIZED. MY FIANCE WORKS FOR UPS AND THIS IS HIS DREAM CAR. HE IS A WONDERFUL MAN WHO HAS BEEN THROUGH HELL AND BACK, AND HE DESERVES A SHOT AT THIS CAR, AND WE WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO VISIT OUR FAMILY. STAY CLEVER WITTY AND HEALTHY ALWAYS.
Hi Ellen, I have no sob story, I'm just a poor college student and I would love to win that Youkon. I go to University of Oregon, I love to ski and go to the mountains and I would love to drive a car that is Earth friendly and also able to handle the snow. Right now I drive an old VW (which o love) but it has over 100,000 miles on it and I'm afraid it's on it's last leg. Love your show, keep doin' what you're doin!
Hey Ellen... My mom Brenda deserves this car because she has never had enough money to get a new car the newest one she has owned is a 91 maxima.. She has three kids and one grandson. She works a full time job and takes care of her kids. She is not rich at all but she is rich in family love.. She is the most dedicated mother I have ever met.. I love her and i just wish she could just have something nice in her life.. She is always spending her money on food and shelter for her family and i just wish she could have something for herself. If she could owns something like that she would be so happy. Please Ellen consider my mom for this hybrid car...
Thanks Samantha P.S. Ellen your the best...
Hi Ellen,
I am a two time survivor of breast cancer. I watched your show every Monday while my chemotherapy was being infused. You are so funny and it was a great distraction. You are a true inspiration!!! I would love to enter for the hybrid giveaway but can't find the link. My 10 year old daughter says hi and she would love to come on your show and show our greeting cards we have created for breast cancer survivors.
Love ya Ellen!!
Happy Earth Day!!
Love,
Larena T.
MY HUSBAND NEEDS THIS CAR!!!!! My wonderful husband is driving a 1997 Ford Mustang, that my not sound so bad. Except for the fact that the speedometer broke over 5 years ago and reads 120,000 miles, only God knows how many are really on it. We have a two year old daughter and when we go anywhere as a family we have to use my car because when she is in the car seat you have to put the passenger side seat down so her feet actually have room. He is a youth minister and I am a part time teacher, needless to say money is tight. Please choose my deserving husband for this car.
If it helps, he looks a little like Ashton Kutcher!!!
Thank you!
HI ELLEN

-Mr. Ver libranda
Hey Ellen, first of all YOU ROCK!!!! well it looks like I'm having trouble locating the link to the GMC YUKON like alot of other people. Anyway I would love to have this truck..... I will make you an offer I hope you cant refuse!! I will donate my Jeep grand cherokee which is in great condition to whatever charity you choose. Please consider me for the yukon. Thanks for taking time to read my email. Keep up the great dancing. Oh by the way I would love to see you to the soulja boy dance....my 11 yr old daughter would love to show you how to do it (she makes me laugh almost as much as you do...) have a wonderful day... ;)
hey ellen my name is zane and me and my girlfriend watch the show everyday. The thing is my girlfriend whiney really needs a new vehicle, because the one she has is starting to break down. I am writing this to you is because she doesnt think she can win. She thinks this because she doesnt think she deserves anything, but i think she deserves everything. She is quiting school for two years to help support me while i am in nursing school, and she is going to be working two jobs. She is always stressed out by me and her explorer which is a gas guzzler and our mean downstairs neighboor. So if you would consider her for the hybrid it would amazing but if you dont i understand just keep up the good work.
Ellen I watch your show every day with my 8 month old daughter. You make me laugh so hard, its not even funny! I was watching today and saw about the Yukon Hybrid you are giving away. I cant find the link. I wanted to buy an SUV this year but financially things didnt work out. Right now I drive a 1996 Nissan Altima and am terrified each time I drive. My baby sister passed away October 1, 2007 in a car accident. She was hit by a man driving a Ford Escape, a small SUV and she was driving a Ford Escort. She died instantly. So I'm sure you understand why I want something bigger and obviously safer. Her accident was not even a mile from my house, so I have to pass that site each day and have anxiety attacks whenever I have to go by there. Ellen could you please help me over one of the humps in my life and tell me where to go to win this? My 10 year old son thinks you are the bomb and that you would be really great if we won this. He just thinks of it as a team mom vehicle!! Thanks for you consideration. Keep America laughing...I at least know I will be!
Your the reason I finally sit down at 3p.m. I am the mother of 2 and have a daycare of 7 AWESOME kids and can't wait for your show daily. I would love this yukon hybrid, offering all of the transportation I do would be huge as I am commited to making a difference in our community. I love your heart and appreciate all that you do for our earth and spirits. Please if you have never visited Chico Ca, you have to come for a Sierra Nevada cold one, a burger you will never forget and dip your foot in one of our many gorgeous water holes. Thankyou for your time and consideration. Cherisse
ok, so i've been on your website for a while and i cannot find a link to find out how to win the hybrid yukon. i'm sory if i'm just dumb and didn't see the link. but anyway, i love you ellen and have been watching you since the first season. my daughter who is four also loves you and gets so excited when your show comes on. she says, "mom, ellen is on!! yay!!!" it is so cute. i also have a 4 month old and would really really be so greatful and so appreciative if i could win the yukon hybrid. the truck i have now is so cramped, i have no room at all, and we like to go camping every summer, and this summer is going to be hard because of the new baby, we will have no room for anything. please please please let me have a chance to win this car. i will do anything!!!!!! i also think that i have the same birthday as your mother, may 19th! so if that has any effect than that would be great. please don't ignore this email. i've never won anything, and i just think that car is so beautiful and great for the enviornment. also, we can't even afford to make our house payments anymore because of how horrible the market is and how much we are gettin paid. my husband works so hard as a plumber, but he still can't make enough for us to get by. please let us have a chance to win the car, please!!!! thank you ellen. again i love you even if i don't win the car, i will always watch your show. you always make me feel happy. thank you.
Hi, Ellen!
Please consider my entry for the GMC Yukon Hybrid contest. I am a single mother of twin infants. I watch your show EVERYDAY with the babies. There are so many deserving folks that also watch, but I could sure use a larger, efficient vehicle. I have a small farm of rescued horses, dogs and cats. I too have a strong love of animals. Money is tight, and trips to the veterinarian and feed store are frequent. Please help us out. We love you, Ellen!!!
Hi Ellen I first want to say that I love your show. You are great. I'm 24 years old and a mother of 2 great kids i watch your show everyday. anyways i am wanting to enter to win the yukon but I can't find the link. I really want to win the yukon. I tried to win the acadia but that didn't work out too well. Recently my suburban was repoed and so I don't have a vehicle right now. I really love the suv's but I can't afford to get one. It's really hard to get around without a vehicle and having two kids. I have to drive out of town to do any shopping and to take the kids to the doctors. My grandpa is not doing well and I really want to go see him but he lives 5 hours away and I have unfinished business from my mom's passing in december that I can't do being 5 hours away. anyway I would really love to win the yukon, it would greatly improve my life. Thank you for your show and making me laugh.
Hello! My name is Marelyn Lopez and I'm from Caguas, Puerto Rico. I've been watching your show and your special presentations throughout the U.S. for years now and have always believe you are an exceptional human being. But I'm dissapointed to find out that in your web site, the people from Puerto Rico can not participate in your giveaways or contests. You do have many fans here because we have followed your career since your begining and will be nice if you show your appreciation to your Puertorican fans as well as you do to the ones in your show. Also, liked very much when you interviewed the actress that performed the "Ugly Betty" in your program. It was hillarious! By the way, you should take some spanish lessons. It's easy. I also think that it's wonderful what you do to the Susan J. association for the search of the cancer in order to find a cure. Actually, I'm a survivor myself (36 yrs.) and I feel great! (like Tony the tiger). Just take very good care of yourself and may God give you many blessings so that you can give us some happy moments like we have everytime we watch your show, which by the way, I don't miss it for nothing.
Oh, almost forgot, congrats to your dance crew! They're wonderful!
Bye.
Marelyn
Ellen,
As well as many people below, I am ALSO trying to find your link for the yukon! I'm only 16 years old, and this isn't just something selfish I'm going because I want this car. My mom, a huge part of my life and wonderful person, is a single mother and is under massive amounts of stress lately. About a year ago, her best friend died from breast cancer and she is obviously still dealing with that. My mom is also having a lot of money problems lately too. I try my best not to ask for material things and to always be there for her but I'm only a teenager and it's hard not to want things. She doesn't talk much about her money problems because she doesn't want to worry me and my older sister, Kira. Kira is 21 and about a year and a half ago her boyyfriend of about 2-3 years was killed in a motorcycle accident. They were living together, so Kira has lived at home since. My mom hates asking her for money, but she really has no other choice. I wanted to add that my dad is definitely in the picture. He is a great dad to me and Kira, but a little on the cheap side. I want to help my mom so bad but there's not much I can do. This car would help her and my family a lot. My mom is such a great person and deserves more. I didn't mean for this to be so long or problem filled, but it is what it is. Thanks for your time and show :)
Love,
Katelyn
So Ellen, Hi! I'll try and make this short and sweet because I don’t want you to have to entertain your show with my story! My name is Samantha and I am graduating from Montana State University- Billings this May. I just got a job in Alaska as a Special Educator and I am trying to figure out how the heck I am going to get up there with gas prices so high. My newly fiancee and I are thinking about selling my vehicle just be able to afford gas (we would probably take his vehicle... the range dog... and boy we are lucky if we make it to Canada)! I was watching your show and I heard about the Hybrid SUV, and funny enough I like those cars. I was just hoping I could be considered to be the driver behind it( I’ll even make you a trade and give you my truck)! Boy would it save on gas! Thanks for time... now get back to your show!
Ellen, I just love your show and try my best to watch you every day. I would love to have a new car since my car is a 90 Isuzu Impulse (only 65,000 miles),however, everything is having to be replaced and I'm going broke. Those Hybrid cars look really cool and I would love to have one. Do you think I have a chance of winning a new car?
Thanks, Susan
Ellen, I guess I am not the only one that can't seem to find out were to enter for the hybrid yukon or maybe this is a trick and I am already entered by seending you this e-mail. All I can do is think positive right!!!!
Have a great day!

From Kim Guernsey

Joy California Blonde
Hi ELLEN!!!!! GIVE ME THE SUV, PLEAASSSEEE..
I'm here to say that I love your show, I have to confess that I did not understand you few years ago, and it was because I was learning english. however,I would laught because everybody else was laughing! You are fantastic, and you should give me the SUV because I drive an old car, 1994 honda, and each time a open the dor I get a cut my hands :(, also, if I win I can take you for a ride and teach you some Brazilian Portugues, I learned to understand you, and you should learn portugues for me! what do you think, deal?
I wach your show every single day!!!! love you so much!
Dear Ellen,
I too am looking for the link to enter to win the hybrid Yukon. I have MS and my van that has a lift is extremely costly to operate. Since I divorced the major stress in my life, I gained enough mobility (and was able to get a small enough scooter) that I could certainly use somethng that didn't cost so much to drive.
Thank you in advance to the staff member that will answer this and point me to the link to enter.
Peggy Pitkin
Hi Ellen
I love you show i watch it on whio channel 7 everyday,if i no im not home thank goodness i can set my tv to record the show so i can watch it.

You are awesome! I hope one day i can travel and come meet you in person or i would even settle a phone call (hint Hint)

Love from one of your fans
Lisa Byers
from OHIO
Hey Ellen! Absolutely love your show, especially the high tech gaming (lol). Like the others, I would love to enter to win the Hybrid SUV. My Suburban (Nelly) is on her last leg and we certainly cannot afford a new one. I don't have much of a story - I just love taking my three son everywhere I go and the room is a total necessity. Unfortunately, that has not been far lately (fuel and unreliable ride). Anyway, I am very much a "baseball" mom with a very HARD working hubby and we would make great use of the eco-friendly SUV! Thanks
Ellen,
No sob story here, just couldn't afford a hybrid SUV back in November when I finally settle for a used Jeep Grand Cherokee. Unfortunately I get a whopping 16 miles per gallon, and while I would like to leave a smaller carbon inprint I have two kids and a dog, and a Prius just wouldn't cut it.
While I cart around my kids to their activities, my dog to the park, and drive for work, I spend a lot of time in my SUV, and if was able to afford it would jump at the opportunity for a hybrid.
I would even be willing to challenge you at the marshmallow game to win the SUV. =)
Love the show, thanks!
Dear Ellen;
I am E-mailing you in hopes of winning the Hybred SUV. I am a single mother of to girls. We lost my Fiance 4 years ago to cancer. My older daughter, Krysten(14 years old), is a Neuroblastoma cancer patient. I also have a 6 year old who barely got to know how wonderful her Daddy was. Anwyway, Until recently, I was driving the Ford thunderbird He had bought right before he passed; and it finally died and the junk yard came and got it. I now dont have transportation, and have to rely on friends and family for rides back and forth to the clinic or whereever else we need to go. Please Help. Thanks
Hi Ellen,
First let me say I love you and I love your show. I have been a faithful viewer since your first season. I have laughed till I cried and cried till I laughed. You have the most "real" show and that is refreshing. The best thing I love about you is your love of animals which I have a deep passion for myself. I have a wonderful dog, Lucie that I rescued when I found her at my grandmother's in Mississippi after she had been dump down at the lake at only 4 weeks old. I also have a cat, Hiedi, that I found when she was only 4 weeks old also. She is a special kitty because she has polydactylism (front paws only. I also took an injured cat that I named Mel and nursed him back to health after he showed up on my back porch. I had him for a wonderful two and half years, but unfortunately he had to be put to sleep when he became very sick and I took him to the vet and dicovered he had feline leukemeia. I am presently caring for cats that I have named Bootsy and Socks that just sort of "showed up" I provide them food and bedding on my front porch and while I have gained Bootsy's complete trust, Socks is still a little feral but he is getting better.
After seeing that you were giving away a hybrid Yukon on today's show I thought I would throw my hat in to see if I could possibly win it. And beleive me, I NEED it. I have had the same car, a Honda Civic DX (standard transmission)since 1995. I had a car accident in 2006 where my air bags deployed, I was able to get the car fixed body wise; front fender, radiator, hood, windshield but I was unable to have in the inside repair meaning the dashboard and have the airbags replaced. So I have been driving for the past year and ten(10) months without airbags. Not the smartest thing to do.
I would love to win the hybrid for a few reasons. 1) I really need a new vehicle 2) I made the decision to go green (I started recycling plastic and aluminum) Footnote: it took me almost two years of persistant phone calls requesting a recycle bin from the city waste management so that my recycling could be picked up, I almost have all my light bulbs switched to halogen light bulbs, I compost and I bring my own bags to use when I go shopping.
3)I am turning 39 April 28 and I have never won anything in my life.
This hybrid would mean the world to me cause I have recently decided to change my career and go back to school in the fall. It would great to have a safe reliable vehicle that could handle Arkansas weather. Since my new career is going to be medical related and I will probably be working at a hospital or medical clinic have a vehicle that would get me to work in bad weather would be a plus.
So thanks in advance for your consideration and keep doing the great work that you do.
Love ya Ellen!
Ellen,
I love your show. I have been a fan since your sitcom. You always make me laugh out loud and some days that is really hard. You brighten my day. I am a big fan of your wardrobe. Today on the show you mentioned the Yukon hybrid. I drive an old old Yukon and would like to be more earth friendly. I can't afford to drive the gas hog. I've done little things like the light bulbs and reusable bags but I would like to do more. I am a mother of three beautiful children 5,3 and 10 months old. I really enjoy that you have giveways online for those of us who can't afford to come to the show. Thanks for being YOU!
Love,
Chrissy W.
HI ELLEN!!!
I go home to lunch every day when I can at noon to eat and watch you entertain me for at least an hour. I saw that you are giving away a Yukon Hybrid and I think that is awesome because in
the same time you are promoting earth day and the need to take care of our only home, the world.
I would love to sign up for a chance to win the Yukon Hybrid since I'm a realtor in Houston, TX and need a bigger car to take my clients out for showings. I couldn't find the link or location in the site to sign up.
P.S. I love the music you have in the beginning of the show... Thank you.
Steven Oxley
Ellen, my car was broke down for a few weeks and needed a new alternator. My son fixed it for me.
Then not even a week later, the radiator and water pump went. Now it's been sitting in my driveway for over a month with no end in site.
My son and I are bringing up his three children and I'm disabled. My son has a motorcycle and we have no working vehicle. If you could let me know how to win this Hybrid Yukon I would appreciate it. And the way gas prices and polution is, it would be great to own it.
Thank You Ellen for your time
Missy Meade
Hello Ellen, as many others I'm wanting to register for the Yukon Hybrid. I am wanting to win this for my husband and family. My amazing husband works 2 jobs so that I may stay home and care for our 3 children. He is a hard worker, devoted husband, and loving father. He has provided us with a nice home, food on the table and bills paid; however, this doesn't allow for us to have a second car. He commutes 50 miles to and from his jobs / 6 days a week, which leaves me at home with only a 78 Jeep, that I am unable to drive, and if I was actually capable of driving it, then it would not have adequate restraints for my 18 month, 4 & 5 year olds. Winning this would be such a wonderful gift to give him, and would relieve stress from him. The children and i would have safe transportation should we need it for emergencies, and the savings on gas would help tremedously. I record every show and watch it with my children daily, you have taught and encouraged dance with my 18 month old, and should I happen to have to delete a show off the DVR before my husband has had a chance to watch you, then he's pretty disappointed. Never would I have guessed my husband would watch a talk show, but we all Love you, your wit, your heart. Your real! You help others, and you do it because you want to...and not for appearance of it. God Bless.... Kerry Smith
i was trying to find your link to win the hybrid yukon. i have been watching your show a lot more since i have had morning sickness for the last 3 months. we are expecting our third child in october. we really need something bigger; our little accord will not hold another child. and what better car to have than a hybrid.
Hello Ellen! I love your show and I sent you an email.. I saw you were giving away a Yukon. I am a stay home mom and my husband works very hard and I was looking on your page for the YUKON give away that you said to reg for on line.. I dont see it.. pls help. Both our cars broke down w/ in a week and we are now w/ out vehichle cuz one I wrecked beyond repair, and the other is too expensive for our one income to fix. Where is the registry for the YUKON?? My husband walks to work and he works on his feet and is extremly exhausted by end of day.. Pls.. let me know where the registry is?? Thank you.. YOU ROCK>. you keep me so entertained at 5 pm here. LOVE YOUR SHOW> HOLLY
Hi Ellen,
While babysitting my two and a half year old grandson, and his six month old sister this afternoon (I watch them Tuesdays and Thursdays while their mother, my daughter works as a Nursery School teacher for three year olds.) I gave my grandson several choices of what he could watch on tv, PBS, Disney ect. He chose your show, to my surprise, and kept telling me someone was coming on, I wasn't quite sure what he was saying, but when it got to the part where fake Ellen came out, he started pointing and yelling "there she is!!" He knew just what to expect, he probably saw it the day before while watching with his Mom. (I also watch when I get the chance) I also have a three year old grandson and another grandchild due in August. I watch the three year old on Mondays while his father, my son works as a Chef while attending Culanary School, where he has maintained a 4.0 average while going through a split up with his wife of less than a year, and taking care of his son, (who is with him most of the time). We would love to win a vehicle like that! It would be amazing with our family growing in leaps and bounds!! The new baby-to-be belongs to my son who has recently become a Pharmacist, and his wife of two years who is a Regestered Nurse, working in oncology. My youngest son plans to marry later this year as well. Thanks for listening.
Sincerely,
Paulette Burgess
Bristol, Ct.
Ellen,
I just love your show, especially your dancing! I have MS and just divorced my husband of 25 years. My youngest daughter and I moved into an apartment until she graduates from high school. I will be moving to South Carolina and getting a job in order for her to get instate tuition at The University of South Carolina. We have struggled together throughout this divorce that lasted almost two years. Even though it was stressful we have had a great relationship and thankful we have each other. It will be hard, but we just keep the faith as hard it is and are thankful for what we have. I just heard Dr Dwyer on your show and he is so right about the gift of kindness. Is this kind of the idea of the book The Secret and being thankful for the things around you and having a positive attitude?
Debbie Davino
Ellen, I am wondering were to register for the GMC Hybrid. I am a single mother of 4 and go to college and would love to register to win this Yukon. Thanks
I'm am about to enter the field of real estate and do not want to drive my current polluting gas hog. I am earth conscious and want to do my part and more. I do not see where to enter to win the hybrid Yukon. Please help me find where and how to enter so I will no pollute the earth with my current vehicle. Thank you very much.
Hi Ellen,
I'd love to win the Hybird SUV, I'm all about Earth Day and Going green. I would love the opportunity to be a contestant for this contest. Besides I'm currently utilizing a family members vehicle who is currently station overseas and soon I will need a vehicle of my own. Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity.
Hi Ellen.
First of all I have been a fan of yours from the beginning of your show. is it to lat to enter for the Yukon Hybrid. well i wasn't gonna win it any way. lord knows i can really use a new car. I hope you gave it to someone with small Childrens,

love you stay as you are Evelyn Frank
Hi Ellen, I watch your show while working out and I saw you are giving away a GMC Yukon. You said just go to your website to enter but I could not find the contest on your site. I would really love to enter because I would love to surprise my husband with a new vehicle. He needed a new car before Katrina but we left in his car because it was larger than mine and when we got back my car was gone. We are trying to start rebuilding our house so he won't get himself a new car. He always puts his family first and I REALLY WANT TO WIN A CAR FOR HIM but I need to know where to enter. Thanks, Virginia.
Happy Earth Day Ellen!
My work partner and I watch your show daily. We are paramedics. Thanks for the laughs! (Some days we can use them) We want to know where on your website we can find how to register for the Yukon Hybrid? Colorado stinks when it comes to being green...39th! GO GREEN! Would love the chance to enter.
Thanks Ellen!
Michelle

The 1st thing I do when I get to be off from work is auto-tune to Ellen in the afternoon. I so wish you were on prime-time in the evening instead of while I'm at work. I love your show so much, but rarely get to see it cause of stupid ole work. LOL
I'd love to win a hybrid, but can’t find info on your site about how to do that. I tried to buy a Ford Escape Hybrid, but they didn't have any when I went shopping - go figure! ARGH
Hi Ellen,
I would love to win the Hybird SUV, for my sister. She is a wonderful mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. I'm currently station in Soy, Korea and my children's father is station in Afganistan. She not only takes care of my children but she also has a thirteen old month grandson in which she provides care for as well. I will be returning to the states in June, the only problem is that she currently has my vehicle and once I'm assign to my new assignment which is sixteen hours away, she want have a vehicle to drive to work or to travel to see the kids she helped raise. I feel so bad and would love for her to be consider for entry in this contest.

Hello Ellen, I was watching your show today and you said to go to the website to win the hyrbid yukon. I am having a hard time finding how to enter to win this cool car. My husband and I have been using one car, which I hate but it gets us from point a to b, but it's not a hybrid. And I am a chevy/GMC girl all the way. And would love the chance to win this yukon. So please help. Thanks you are great.
Kristie from slc, utah
Ellen I would like to enter to win the Hybrid Yukon like everyone else on your e-mail page that cant find it. I have a mini-van currently and have always wanted a SUV and having a hybrid SUV is even better. I am a stay at home mom of 3. My youngest child is a special needs child on a ventilator and feeding tube. She just turned 8 yesterday. My 2 older children hate the mini-van. I would love to enter your contest...please let everyone know how. Thanks, Lots of Love, Cathy White
Hey there Ellie!
Just want to let you know that I am an avid watcher of your show. I was looking for the contest of the GMC Yukon. To be quite honest, after reading these comments, there are alot of stories on why someone needs the truck. Ill be honest, I dont need it. I want it. I love the Yukons. However it being so expensive I admire from afar.. (Dealership lots and of course the one that pulls up next to you at the red light and you just sit and gaze at it thinking man thats a nice SUV, the whole time the driver and passangers are looking at you like... what a weirdo) Yeah thats my story. I have no sob story and feel for those who are in that situation. So by all means hope someone gets it who deserves it.
Love your show!
Smiles!
Hi Ellen!
My husband and I both love your show and when we saw that you were giving away the hybrid SUV we were so excited! He just got laid-off today and a free car that's easy on gas is something we could really use. However, it seems I can't figure out how to register to win. Can you please help?
Hi, love the show I also would love to enter to win the hybrid but have not found where to do so. My family has alot of bad luck and one of these days that will turn around as long as we keep the faith. So please let me know where to enter. thankyou!

Hey Ellen, Where do you go on your site to enter for the hybrid SUV? I'm recently disabled and my wife has to drive an old gas hog Grand Marquis and the price of gas is killing us.
Yay, IT'S EARTH DAY ELLEN and my daughter and I are sitting here watching your show and laughing our heads off because you are sooooo funny!!! My daughter was going to turn the channel and she stopped because your show was coming on and we have been glued ever since. We love you and keep doing you ELLEN!!
Hi Ellen!
Like everyday, me and my 14 month old daughter Hailey watch your show. She would rather watch you than any other cartoon. She loves to dance! Today on your show, you mentioned the Hybrid giveaway again and to be quit honest I don't usually enter to win things, especially over the internet, but i thought "What the heck!" There's only one problem.. I can't find where to enter. I'm a single mom with another baby on the way. I work nights and I'm trying to get through nursing school. Needless to say I drive alot and gas is so expensive! Having a hybrid would be amazing! So please, PLEASE Ellen tell us where to enter!
Thank you so much for everything you do. You truely are a great person!
Your two biggest fans,
Filisha and Hailey
Where in the world is the Yukon?
Wouldn"t it be great for our world if we could all find one??? Anyway, I am also looking...
Love ya Ellen and Stryker and Gladys and EVERYONE who makes your show the best ever!!!!!!
Happy Earth Day
Hi ellen i watched your show today and i seen you were giving away the gmc yukon hybrid and my mom she wants a brand new vehicle and she drives a old toyota and she trys to take care of it and she wants to get rid of hers and she having problems with hers and she doesnt have the money to get it fixed and were a big fan your show and we love you and your show.
Hey Ellen! My name is Marigny Harrington, I was watching your show today when I saw that you were giving away the Hybrid Yukon, but I didn't know where to sumit. I am 20 years old and have never had a car! I am one of 5 children so my parents don't have money to spare on a car for me. They both work so hard and I would never want to ask then for anything more then they already give me, they have enough worries. My younger brother and I both have diabetes, and the cost of medicine for the both of us is so high. I work everyday as a nanny for 2 children, but cars are so expensive now that it's still hard for me to buy my own car. Me and my mother basically share a car since I have to get to work everyday. I have been saving my money (which is really hard for me to do) to try to buy my own car. I have never won anything in my life, but winning a car would be life changing, actually winning anything would be great. Thank you so much. Ellen I love you so much, I have watched you everyday since you started and I think you are the most amazing person! What you do for people and animals is just greatest thing someone could do. If there were more people in this world like yourself, it would be a better world. Everyday your shows makes my day so much better! I love you and keep dancing!

Hey Ellen & Ellen's Staff,
I saw on the show today that you are giving away a Yukon Hybrid and I immediately got on the website. However, I can't figure out how to enter to win. I have a 2 year old son and I am having another little boy in 2 weeks. We desperatly need a bigger vehicle, but we really can't afford it right now. We would love to have a safe and spacious car, especially one that is better for the environment. Please email me back if you can so that we can enter to win.
Thank you for all that you do!
Micah
Hi Ellen, pls sign me up to win that Yukon Hybrid Suv. I'm a parially disabled US Military Vet. I've been walking for many miles each day both to and from work during the long hard Chicago winters, under the extreme summer heat, in the snow, in the rain...walking each and everyday because I cannot afford to buy a vehicle. So please, please give me one of those wonderful Yukon Hybrids.
But whether you help me out or not please know that we thank you Ellen & we love you & your show.
Hi Ellen. I've been searching to find how to enter to win the Hybrid Yukon. My Jeep has 172,000 miles on it, the air conditioner doesn't work and hot and humid days are quickly on their way to this sunny Kansas town. Boy would I love to win a new Hybrid Yukon. (Humidity makes me cranky, and I don't want to be cranky.)
Love your humor; it makes me smile from ear to ear every afternoon.
CAW! I feed 8-10 crows in our back yard. They love cornbread. Every time they "caw" I smile and think of you and your show.
I would love to enter this Contest to win the Chevy Yukon But How?? I Searched all over your page and nothing.
Help!
I am also 3 months behind on mortgage, out of a Job , divorced with two kids.
I am so depressed!
Winning this car would help-

Hi Ellen,
We so enjoy watching your show. I also would like to find out how to sigtn up to win the Hybrid vehicle. I am a little over four week into hip replacement recouperation, and your show has brought a bright spot to my days when I was unable to leave the house. You are so real and seem so reachable, that you are loved by your many fans. Keep up the good work, and stay true to yourself.....you are worth it.

Hi ellen,
my name is meagan and me and my mom have been thorugh just about everything.and we live in a trailer.i have always wanted an suv or something but then i think of how hard my mom would have to work to get that.and i want to move because people keep breaking in our house and i want her to be happy and i no she would really really enjoy a new car.
please reply to my e-mail.
thank you so much, meagan
Hey Ellen! Love your show.
We (my family) are trying to find a link to the Hybrid SUV.
Our current van (a 1995 plymoth voyager) is a gas guzzler! Me being the semi-eco friendly kid i am (im her 15 year old son) doesnt appreciate tryin to drive around town in a MINI van with 2 black eyes and deer marks all over it. My mom seems to have a radar for wildlife!
But in all seriousness, the car would help our family cause we are strapped for cash, and gas is EXPENSIVE!
So we would try to enter the contest for the SUV, but we can't find it! So if you could get back to us, it wouold be greatly appreciated!
Ellen,
I've always thought that you were born with a name that best describes you - GENEROUS!
I'd love to win the hydrid SUV for my daughter. So if this is the application consider this one mine. She is the mother of two small children and she works very hard putting her husband through college so he can become a school teacher. He works a part time night job so they don't have time for each other. She drives an old gas guzzler SUV now and so badly needs to get out from underneath the payments from this useless vehicle. Please please help this family. My husband and I love your show, we never miss a show.
My Dearest Ellen,
My name is Jovan Monet Henburg and I am a big fan of yours.I watch you everyday, shakin' that money maker(and a fine one it is).I have been at home recovering from what could have been a fatal case of Menengitis for the past 5 years, which is a brain infection that put me in a coma for 10 days and also I stayed in the hospital for 3 months in rehab. It also caused me to have 3 mini strokes.
Needless to say the lord has really blessed me
but as a result of my illnes I have not driven in
over 5 years, and I feel that a new SUV is just the motivation I need to get back out there and tackel life again.I have not give up on life,I just got knocked down, but with God's help I shall rise again.
love your fan
Jovan in SC
Okay, I give....how do you enter???
Ellen...the old man has dun wint and run off with the trailer, with that no good tramp from lot #10...you know the one...that one wit the hot pants, tube top, and no front teeth. He left me and the 6 boys..bubb, bubba, bubbie, bubbabubb, bubbie bubb, and bubba jr, wit no food, no Budweiser, and no smokes, and left us here wit nothin but this old army tent to cover our heads...I'm goin caaaraazzyy wit out my beer and nicotine...you know what I mean...well bein an ex smoker and all...you know jist how hard it is to kick it...and well wit all these varmits runnin round it's drivin me bonkers...not to mention the skeeters are eatin us alive! It sure would be nice to have me one them there Yukon's...it would be jist big nough for them boys...I gost to take em to all their goins ons...like bubba jr.'s dip spittin practice on tuesdays (he's the Corn Polk County champ ya know...three years runnin now..me and his pa was so proud of him...that is of coarse til the no good took off with that tramp...but anyway), bubbabubb's got wittlin on Monday's, not to mention bubbie's appt on Wed. with Doc Coop...(poor youngin he is still tryin to recover from stickin that chicken up his nose) Anyway Ellen...you can see we rilly rilly could use that there Yukon...don't look like paw's comin back...and the storm is comin in and I don't know how long this tent is going to hold.
Hey Ellen, I saw on today's show that you are giving away a Yukon hybrid..my wife LOVES you & the show she is a religious viewer she has even gotten our 2 year old daughter watching & saying "KaKa"! I emailed you when you were giving away the Acadia , she doesn't know that & she entered every chance she got. I thought of her when I saw this! Where do I register to win?? Thanks.
Shilo
Hey Ellen! I love your show and watch it every day! My two small kids and I dance with you every day! I was watching your show and saw that you are giving away a Hybrid GMC Yukon, I'm just having trouble finding it on your website. I am the single mother of a 3 1/2 year old and a 15 month old and just found out that I'm expecting again. I drive a 12 year old bucket that would cost more money to fix than its actually worth. I just recently broke up with my fiance and am currently living with my mom. There is NO way that 3 carseats will fit in the back of my car so I could REALLY use this car! Thanks so much for listening! Heather, Tony, and Chris
Ellen-
The GMC Yukon would be such a great gift for my family and I. We are currently in a situation where we are needing to purchase 2 "new" vehicles before October 31st...all while moving from KY to MI. The finances are not there for us to be able to do so...let alone for us to pay the insane gas prices for any vehicle we choose to get. A hybrid would not only help the economy and the world that future generations have to live in, but would also help save money in gas! What an amazing blessing it would be to be given the opportunity to contribute in the fight to save the world!
Thanks!

Hi Ellen,
I had my fiance look all over your site to see how to enter the drawing for the Yukon. We were unable to find it. How do we sign up for a chance to win it.
Charlene Meredith
Hey Ellen, as the others couldn't find th entry for the hybrid, I would so enjoy winning this my fiance was in that tornado that hit arkansas and just now became able to work again, and i don't work because we have a beautiful 8month old daughter i take care of, my car is so wore out and already slips two gears and we can't afford to get it fixed or get a new one at the moment due to our recent loss of income thought i would add my story and hope to get a chance at winning that beautiful Yukon, much love! Dance On!!
Happy Earth Day Ellen! I love your show I got my kids to take late naps so I can enjoy your show. Anyway I would love to enter your suv contest but where do I go to enter it? Thanks for the great fun in the afternoons! Pam
Hi Ellen,
Like everyone else, I would like to know how to sign up for the SUV giveaway. Being a full time college student, a full time accountant, and getting married in August, I could use a break like this! :)
Thanks and keep smiling,
Heather
Hi Ellen...Hello to your wonderful staff!!!
I just wanted to say thank-you! All of you!! When I'm having a difficult time remembering to stay positive ALL day, there you are, picking up my spirits and making me smile! I appreciate that more than words can express. God has truely blessed each and everyone of you...and through you he blesses me each day. Be happy, be safe, and be earth friendly!
Rene'
Hi Ellen! First I want to tell you how much I love your show! My daughter Sydney (3) loves to watch you dance!! She is quite the little dancer herself! Like everyone else I was trying to find out how to enter to win the Yukon?? I am not going to give you a pity story about how much I need it..because lets get real there is ALWAYS someone worse of than I am. But I will tell you this...I would be so GRATEFUL if I was to win! It would definately help out! I just want to thank you for always putting a smile on my face! Thank you Ellen we all love you!
:) Stacy
Hi,
I watch so much I feel like I know you...anyway...a tornado put a tree on my van and it is not insured...How do I enter for the Yukon??
I really do love what you're all about,
Cris
Hey Ellen,
I was watching the show today & saw the Yukon that you you were giving away. But I cannot find it anywhere on the website. I would love to enter, because I am currently driving a Tahoe that needs over $1000 worth of work (mechanical, not body work)that I do not have the money to fix. Not to mention that the airbag light stays on all the time. (Don't know what that means, hopefully it won't pop out when I am driving with the kids in the car.) Also my husband just lost his company vehicle & we are down to one car. Also I am finding that my car is not fuel efficient & gas in my area is $3.65 a gallon. I can barely afford to go to church & the grocery store with this car! Where can I find the entry form online?
We love your show. But we cant find the Hybrid SUV. We love the earth and it would be great for us. We have a 1995 Plymoth with 2 black eyes (broken headlights) and my mom can't keep away from deer!
The SUV would be so great for us. So if you could make it slightly easyer to find out how to win it, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Love-The Montines
Hi Ellen
I would love to win the Yukon hYBRID. i HAVE 4 GRANDCHISDRE AND OFTEN TAKE THEM ON TRIPS WITH ME THAT WOULD GIVE THEM ALOT OF PERSONAL SPACE.
I have always wanted a Yukon and with it being a hybrid that makes it even better. I have two loving kids and a nephew that i have very often, and in order for us all to go somewhere together, we have to take two vehicles. With gas prices the way they are, it is difficult to do that. So
I would be greatful to win the Yukon, but
i need to kniw how to register. Thanks.
Hello Ellen, I heard that you were giving away a Hybrid Yukon and instantaly thought of my girlfriend and my situation. I recently had to give back the car I was driving and my girlfriend has had very bad luck with her car situation. You do not understand how much this would help our family (including her 4 year old daughter). I really do not want to take the bus and most important, I do not want the car my girlfriend is driving to break down when she has her daughter. I know that you are a person that is larger than life, I hope you can help.
Hi Ellen,
I want to start by saying that I LOVE your show I plan my day around it, here on the East coast it comes on at 4pm. there fore I make time to sit down and watch it. I just had a baby in January shes the light of my life...my husband and I suffered a Twin miscarriage just last year and our daughter has filled the hole. So i was watching today and wanted to apply for the give away for the Hybrid Yukon....I cant find it!! We are in dire need of a new vehicle...we are a young family, we have trouble with our bills, and we desperately need a new vehicle...My daughters car seat makes traveling VERY uncomfortable because shes in a rear facing seat, we could really use a bigger vehicle....but cant afford a new car.... take care and say "Hi" to stryker and Porcha
p.s. HAPPY EARTH DAY
Hi Ellen,
I just want to celebrate the earth and what better way then to be driving a hybrid Yukon , not only would I be helping the earth but if I do say so myself I would look damn good doing it too ! I don't have a big sob story for you but where do I sign up for this beauty !
well i would like to win that suv i watch your show all the time i have 3 kids its hard to live in monroe ny
Hi Ellen,
Just as I too was looking for a way to enter for the SUV, my 10 month old son caming crawling up to me with a hard plastic ring around his neck that was ever so slightly larger than the circumference of his head.(a piece from his sand bucket) I assume this was the work of his 2 year old brother. Anyway, for the safety of children everywhere, can you make entering this contest a little easier? Keep making us laugh and dance:). Gotta go, now he is chewing on a night light. Thanks, -Suzanne Pope Melbourne, FL
Hi Ellen!
About this SUV....
I keep hoping to hit the lottery and that hasn't happened yet....
So here is my deal...I am a struggling real estate agent - esp. with this sucky economy & gas at almost $4 a gallon - But my truck is a big pile of you know what and arriving to show people homes is soooo embarassing. My rattle trap has over 215,000 miles, rust spots, dents all over, cracked windsheild, peelinng paint and all the "gage lights" are on.
Don't think the "Danger Ranger" as I call her, can take much more.
I have driven this truck to over 4 years of college and now to show homes and trying to continue my education to become a broker for my family's company so that my dad can retire.
She's been a good truck but I think she needs a break. I don't think it will get me to the broker classes ...I don't really trust her. :)
Help a sista out!! HAHA
Thanks Ellen! Keep the laughter goin!
My daughter, jenny, loves you and your show and got me watching your show and am glad she did! She has taught me many things and I think she is awesome. She will be graduating from college in 3 weeks and I thought it would be the best gift ever if I could get an autograghed copy of one of your books for her graduation. I don't know if you do that sort of thing but if you do, she would love it and it would be a great surprise!Have a great day!!
Happy Earth Day Ellen, I'm in the military and I have been married for almost 2 years and my wife and I have been unable to go on a honeymoon due to my work, the Hybrid Yukon would be a wonderful gift to her to make up for me working so much. She watches your show and thinks you are the BEST ON TV, thanks and keep dancing.
Ellen,
I just want to say thank you for all that you do. You bring joy and meaning to so many peoples lives. I love watching your show. You always put a smile on my face and Lord knows I need that at the moment. You see, I have been placed in the hospital on complete bed rest due to an at-risk pregnancy. My water broke at 22 weeks and we are doing everything we can to keep little Zach from arriving too early. So far so good thanks to all the prayers of family and friends.
At this point I am 24 weeks, so I still have a long road ahead of me. My husband has been completely wonderful through it all. He has been working so hard to keep up the bills and take care of the home while I'm in the hospital. I have 3 other children, a step-daughter who is 19, and step-son who is 14, and my precious daughter who is 19 months old. I love and miss them all so very much. It's lonely being away from them day after day. Some days are worse than others. That is why I want you to know how much I appreciate you and the smile that you bring to face. Keep up the great work and know that you are loved and appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mellisa
Hello Ellen,
My name is Kelly and I'm a mommy of 3. I would love a chance to win the Yukon Hybrid. However, I've searched and can not find how to enter. I travel 40 minutes to get to work and thought how wonderful to have a fuel-efficient vehicle that is large enough for my family and better for the enviroment. Thanks for everything you do and thanks for such a great show!
Kelly C.
As everyone else, just wondering where to enter for the Hybrid? I could go on and on about how great this is of you and how much I could really use it, but I'm sure everyone is capable of doing that. I love your show and record every episode to watch on the weekends. That way, I get to have one hour of happiness everyday. I'm a stressed out mother of 4, ages 3 1/2 to 3 months. I don't work because we can't afford daycare. My husband works long days, so that leaves me taking my 4 children everywhere. We do a lot of running around and our van is about to die. I think a hybrid would be a great investment for our family and the world we live in. If nothing else, I'm just glad you have a show that I'm able to view. Watching you everyday!
Daggum it, Ellen, why haven't you come to Philly yet? I bought a cheese steak and a soft pretzel just for ya! But you aren't, so i'll have to eat it, huh? I promise that I'll buy more if you come!!!
DEAR ELLEN,
I VISITED YOUR WEB SITE TODAY TO ENTER THE CONTEST FOR THE HYBIRD YUKON BUT WAS UNABEL TO FIND IT. I AM A RECENTLY DIVORCED SINGLE MOTHER WITH A OLD TRUCK. I COULD REALLY USE A NEW VEHICLE BUT I REALLY CAN NOT AFFORD A NEW ONE. COULD YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO ENTER.
THANK YOU
PS. MY SON LIKES YOUR DANCING
i would love to enter for your yukon hybrid giveaway my husband was run off the road last month and wrecked our durango since we only had liability we cant afford to fix it so all we have is his truck we have three children and no way to haul them on our own plus he will be leaving in the near future for iraq he is in the national guard he is a medic thanks
HI ELLEN,
I HAVE BECOME SUCH A FAN OF YOURS. I ADMIRE YOU!!! ELLEN, I WOULD LIKE TO WIN THE YUKON FOR MY PARENTS. THEY HAVE WORKED SO HARD FOR US AND WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THEIR PRIORITY. IT SADDENS ME TO SEE THAT THEY HAVE GIVEN US THEY FULL SUPPORT AND AT THE MOMENT I CANNOT RETURN THE FAVOR. THEY HELPED THEIR FOUR CHILDREN BUY THEY CARS, BUT THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO HAVE A CAR THAT THEY DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT PAYMENTS OR IF ITS GONNA BREAK DOWN TOMORROW. MY DAD IS 65 YEARS OLD AND IS NOW RETIRED DUE TO A KNEE PROBLEM HE HAD A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW HE HAS WANTED A NEW CAR EVEN IF HE GIVES HES RETIREMENT CHECK AS PAYMENT, WHICH IS NOT MUCH. BUT MY MOM ALWAYS BURSTS HIS BUBBLE TELLING HIM THAT THERE IS NO MONEY TO THINK ABOUT BUYING A CAR. THEY HAVE A LOT OF PAYMENTS AND FOR ONCE I WOULD LIKE THEM TO HAVE SOMETHING THAT THEY OWN WITHOUT BEING IN DEBT. THE SUV WOULD BE PERFECT BECAUSE IT IS SPACIOUS FOR THEM, ALTHOUGH MY MOTHER WOULD PROBABLY SAY "OH ITS TOO BIG FOR US." BUT I KNOW THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO KNOW THAT THEY CAN DRIVE THEY GRANDDAUGHTER AROUND COMFORTABLY. AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF HARD WORK I WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL IF MY PARENTS WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE CAR OF THEIR OWN.
LOVE YA AND ADMIRE YOU ELLEN,

Hey Ellen,
I've searched your website for the entry form to win the Yukon Hybrid but I cant find it. I'm a mother of 3 girls 5 year old and 2 year old twins. For a long time I drove a small car with barely no room for my 3 car seats. It was just enough room for my children, husband and I. Well my husband decided to buy use a expedition it was a sweet gesture but we cant afford it. I am a student and a house wife. My husband was working two fulltime jobs for years until he currently got fired for having a second job.The payments and the gas of the expedition is taking up all of our money so we dont drive anywhere unless its a necessity. The hybrid will be a big help to our family as i know it would be to millions of families in the united states. Thanks for the consideration.
P.S.
I love your show and what you stand for God bless
hey Ellen, I really need a dependable vehicle and would love to enter to win the Yukon, but I do not know where to enter the contest on the site! Could you let me know? I watch you everyday and just love you. You are so real and so much fun!

hi ellen
i watch your show everyday while my kids are taking their naps, today i saw that you are giving away a hybrid SUV me and my husband have been trying to save enough money to get one but that isn't going to well for us. Anyway I am writing because I am a 25 year old stay at home mom of 3 kids 2 boys and 1 girl they are 5, 2 and 1. Right now we are squeezing them into a 92 honda accord (not to easy) I just thought I would attempt to throw my name in there. I love your show you are a truly wonderful person and cant wait to see Beckham on this week!!! Thanks for all u do for everyone.
Jessica From Maryland
Well I was reading through some people's stories of why they thought they should win the Hybrid SUV. I can't say that I have a better story or reason than them, because Im not terminally ill as some of them are, but I have a few reasons of my own I thought I'd share anyway. I am 21 and a mother of two precious boys. Joshua 3 and Jakson 8 months. My husband works in the Oil Field and is always out of state in Kansas working, so for the time being I live with my parents while we are trying to save for either a new car or a home. And right now our top priority is to get out of my parents house for the last and final time. I have scoliosis and am currently working on going to doctors to see what I can do about the pain and correcting the curve. As of right now I have a 2 door 1999 Toyota Solora, that I bought from my sister 2 years ago, and two carseats. There is no room for a family of 4 in there needless to say it hurts every time I have to crawl back there and put them in their seats. We are young and trying to establish our place in this world, but it is so hard to get anywhere when you have no credit but can't get credit because you have no credit. It seems we are in a never ending circle! In trying to get a new car neither one of our parents can co-sign for a loan because my parents are having to rebuild their credit from letting things go when my sister was terminally ill from brain cancer (my sister and my mom and I used to watch your show just to laugh) and my husbands step mom has rhumetoid arthritis and is on disability. I dont want to give you a pitty story or anything like that, its just our life! My parents are working on getting a new car for themselves and I would absolutely LOVE to have this type of vehicle not only for my back, but to have MORE ROOM FOR KIDS!! And all the stuff that comes along with! We have not always made the best decisions with money, but have been working VERY hard to get where we need to be for our children. Thank you for your time and I really hope you consider my letter. God bless and I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!!
Sincerely,
Sarah Mardis
Would love to enter for the Yukon Hybrid but can't figure out where on your website. Would love to win it for my son and daughter-in-love. Thanks for the opportunity, but need to know how.
Keep up the good work helping people!
Hi Ellen,
I'm in Chicago with my daughter who is in week 35 of an at-risk pregnancy. None of the doctors expected her to make it past 34 weeks but she's still going. She has a condition where she has two uteri (uteruses) and the baby is in the left one. Things are starting to get a little crowded in there now, and my daughter, Amy, is getting a little lop-sided. Anyway, we're thinking that if she and I get tickets to your May 3rd show in Chicago that would almost quarantee she would have "Lily" that day. If you have any extra tickets, keep all three of us in mind. (Lily won't need a ticket.)
Thanks,
Alisa, Amy (& baby Lily)
hi Ellen,
Just saw the great Highlander Hybrid suv on your show. We have a family of six (not even Mormon or Catholic, who knew?). Would love to get rid of our gas hog Dodge SUV. We thought giving up my aerosol hairspray was enough to stop global warming. Anyway, thanks for your consideration.

Hello Ellen! I'd like to start off by telling you that I never watch your show, lol, only sometimes. When I do happen to catch it on, I find you so very fun and very entertaining! Your dance skills are like WHOA! Happy Earth Day!

Hi Ellen..Awesome show as usual; what a great start to my day. I wanted to share with you that my 9 year old daughter Ashley rode 10 miles on her horse Saturday to raise money for Hospice and the food pantry. She raised almost 2000.00 dollars and I am so proud of her. Out of 238 people she raised the second highest amount. After the event they held a raffle for prizes donated. For every 50.00 you raised a ticket towards the prizes. My daughter had over 38 tickets in the drawing and guess what? She won nothing! People that left even gave her their raffle tickets and she still did not win a thing. It was a real bummer for her! Maybe we could win the Hybrid..that would be awesome! We are a jinxed family even with 3 times more tickets then anyone else we still cannot win anything to save our life. Although I win everyday by being able to watch and laugh with you and your show. Its the best! Thanks for being one of us!
Hello Ellen
Just wanted to say another great show today (Earth Day). I love watching your show and since I live in the Poconos I get to watch 2 times a day @ 10am and also @ 3pm with the kids (who love your show also). Well I am also finding it hard to find where to enter for the Hybrid. Love the truck and would love to win it for my husband because he drive to work more than 2 hrs each way. A Hybrid car would be better but you can't have it all (if I could I wouldn't need to win one). It would be great to win since I never seem to win anything (the story of my life). But anyway just wanted to say LOVE THE SHOW!!!!! keep doing your thing and thanks for all the laughs. Lorraine Longo

Hello Ellen!
Here I am in Mumbai, India, watching your interestingly zany show almost every day. Last week, when Heidi Klum was on your show, I was totally aghast to see you throwing meat balls at your audience. That was disgraceful! One poor woman got it smack on her glasses! Not only was it in bad taste but in view of the millions going without food, I should imagine, you of all people to engage in such frivolous activity. Shame on you!
Do write, if you're so inclined.
Susan
Hi Ellen. Greetings from Regina, Saskatchewan Canada where lots of people love you. Your show has become one of my favorite parts of the day. Not only are you very funny, I admire your love and respect for animals and am continually touched by your stories.
I am wondering if you are still planning to visit King. He is so cute and he sure loves you. I used to be fascinated with Koko the Gorilla who lived/lives in the San Diego Zoo. Koko had a huge vocabulary and he also had a great love for a little kitty he called Ball. One day Ball got away and was run over by a car and Koko grieved for a long time.
I am a sixty-one year old Gramma, and I want to tell you that when I listen to tunes while I'm outside walking, one of my most recent selections is the Low, Low, Low song, and it's all thanks to you. While I don't have all the words down pat yet, I have some of them, and sometimes surprise unsuspecting passers-by who are subjected to my singing loudly about Apple bottomed jeans, when I forget I am not alone.
Keep up the good work. It's a wonderful thing to make people smile.
Bev
P.S. I think it's Shayne too. Hope so.
Hi Ellen
I am a huge fan of your show...me and my 8 month old son turn it on first thing in the morning and it starts our day off on a great note, as it is so fun and light! I get so jealous watching it because you always give away so much stuff and there are such great guests and living in Canada, especially the province I am in, the closest I get to that is winning a dollar on a scratch ticket after spending $10 and seeing the local newscasters (pseudo celebrities at the mall) wooo hoo. Anyway, is there any way to win tickets to your show for your Canadian viewers who love you just as much???!!!! That would be a huge highlight. Keep on entertaining us and being such a generous giving person, you really brighten a LOT of people's lives...i hope you know that!
warmly
Amber Neale
Dear Ellen,
After watching today's (Monday, april 21st) show, i find myself with the hugest crush on one of your dancers from the dance crew.
At the start of the show was wearing a burgundy american apparel hoody with jeans. he is the dreamboat that always wears the toque.
I couldn't figure out how to email you since i am from Canada and this was the only way i saw i could post my comment.
If you have any info about this guy please pass it on.
Im not trying to be creepy at all.. i just would love to know his name!
lovin from Vancouver, BC.
Dear Ellen,
this is embarassing so don't read it out loud!
I am from Canada and can't figure out how to email you through your website since i'm not from the states.

Hi Ellen,
I was wondering if you could do me a favor. I am organizing a fundraiser for a local autism center in Massachusetts. Community Autism Resources is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides services to families living in the southeastern part of the state.
I was able to get a basketball donated by the Boston Celtics... I know you are probably not a Celtics fan because you are from New Orleans, but I was wondering if you knew some celebrities that were from Boston, or from the Boston area who might be interested in bidding on our silent auction. The person does NOT have to attend the event. They just have to be the highest bidder, and we will announce the highest bid at the event. All they need to do is make their bid via email at car.silent.auction@comcast.net they need to leave their name and contact info, and we'll let them know if they are the highest bidder. The person can also remain anonymous at the event as well, if they want.
if anyone is in MA and wants tickets they can order them online at www.community-autism-resources.com
This is a legitimate organization. you can go onto their website and check out what they do/offer... www.community-autism-resources.com.
My 7 year old son has Asperger's Syndrome, which is a mild form of autism, and we have benefited greatly from their programs. For example, they sponsored a family movie day which was the first time we were able to attend a movie as a family because my son is often overwhelmed by the sound in a theatre during regular movies. This was very important to us as we got to do something as a family most people take for granted. They have also helped us secure the appropriate services for our son at school. All of the programs they offer are FREE!
My son is a great kid. You would love to chat with him. In fact, you might not get a word in edgewise! He loves to talk about the Celtics (he DOESN"T know about the ball, because he would go crazy if he saw it), He is also an expert on the Presidents, the solar system, whales, and trains. He wants to earn as much money as Bill Gates, and he wants to know if he has "stashburgers" too... We told him, we think so... :-)
Thanks Ellen for spreading the word. The event is Friday April 25th, so I know that doesn't give you much time.
Sincerely,
Lisa Oliviere
Trying to show my 7 year old DREAMS COME TRUE! The Town of Woodstock Georgia keeps asking if I got a call from you or Howie!! The town may not be huge but they do watch both shows and They are watching.
GOING INTO 2008 WITH MY DREAM:

I can not give up now, I have to prove to my family and supporters that if you believe in something, you have to keep going: Do not give up on your DREAMS.
You have to reach for the stars and don't let the clouds get in the way!!!!!!!!!

Hello Ellen. I just wanted to write and say that I love your show. My 2 year old daughter, Kendylle, is obsessed with the show. I have to work most days of the week so I DVR your show. So when it comes time to watch it, if she is not sitting by me, she hears the show and comes running. She starts jumping up and down and says, "Ellie" (that's what she calls you). This is the cutest thing. When we ask her, "what does Ellen say," she says, "Kaw kaw kaw." It's priceless. You also taught her the Soulja Boy and Low (Flo Rida). Your show has taught her so many songs. She just loves it, just like I do. You are hilarious. We will continue to watch.
Hi Ellen,
I just to find out your opinion on something. I would rather not have this read on the air but instead talk with you on the phone or via email. I am a simple person with old style values, but happen to be gay as well, and am having a hard time dealing with losing not only my parents three years ago but what I thought was my soulmate two months prior. Would like some personal opinion.
Thanks

Hi Ellen yes my name really is Mandy Moore but not that Mandy Moore. I am from your home state LOUISIANA and go to college in Hammond LOUISIANA. I am coming to California in May and am watching everday for the posting of tickets for the week of May 27-30. If you see any extra tickets to your show those days laying around think of me! I am going to be there with 2 other people. I tape your show everday and am probably your #1 fan. I LOVE your show and would give anything to get to see it live. THANKS Mandy Moore
Hi Ellen, thought you may enjoy this as I did, my 7 year old Isabell is home sick today (thats not the enjoyable part, well maybe for her it is) anyways 9:00 am rolls around and I flip through the stations and land on you (which was my intention anyway)and she yells "STOP", so of course I did, the cameras switched to Stryker and she says "hey it's a different one again" (apparently it took her a while to notice) then with a nervous look on her face she looks to me and asks "they wont ever change Ellen will they?" then with such enthusiasm and expression in her face and voice she says "because if they do I'll never watch The Ellen Show again!!" Also she has to have her tonsils taken out (she's not at all doing well with that idea) and I think she feels better about it though because I told her she would be able to watch you every day.
Hello Ellen,
I was just wondering if you ever donate, even autographed pictures or shirts to Relay For Life. I live in a small town in Iowa and it's really a hotspot. At the rubber factory I work in here in Keokuk, we've had 5 women diagnosed with breast cancer in the last 2 years alone. One of them was one of my best friends who lost her fight with cancer this past November at the young age of 44. I promised her I would be an advocate and keep on fighting to raise money and awareness for this dreaded disease. My relay team is trying to raise the most money that's ever been raised in this county this year. I've spent numerous hours on the computer contacting different businesses I feel would be a sponsor in some way or the other. You are such an inspiration to others and make us all laugh. If you can help out in any way you can contact me by mail or phone which I can send you privately. Thank you for your smiles and laughter and for making the sick ones feel alive again. You are an inspiration to everyone!! We love you and everything you stand for!
Joy God Bless You, you're an angel
Hey Ellen, Love you, Love the show!! I heard somewhere that you don't like flying. Is this true?? I myself am finding it difficult to get up the gumption to get on a plane for a trip that isin't scheduled until 2010. Can you imagine...I have never ever been on a plane, the thought is terrifying to me. The thing is, this trip is to Hawai and alot of my family members will be going and I really don't want to chicken out...but what can I do??? Any advice on how I get myself on the plane. By the way, I don't drink, perhaps I should start!!
Thanks for your time,
Keep dancing!!
Kathy
Hi there Ellen.
My name is Kristen Hill. I’m from Chandler, AZ and I’m a stressed 17 year old girl.
I am writting on behalf of my daughter who is a wonderful person. She is my best friend. She is always there for me no matter what. As i am there for her.
She has had a lot of tragic in her life. Her first child died when he was two. He died at home. Her first husband wouldnt work. But she stuck it out with him .... they are now divorced. Her teeth got into terrable shape. But she got her a good job at the local hospital. And was able to get a loan to get them fixed. I would love for Sara to get a make over. I just know it would help her with her self esteem. I love my daughter with all my heart and there is nothing i wouldnt do for her. Thank you for your time it is greatly appreciated.
Dear Ellen,
I don't even know where to begin, but I hope you can help. I don't want money or anything like that, actually I need your connections.
I have 2 friends that are getting married (united) june 21,2008 in Louisville,Ky. I am the best woman for one of them. We have talked about taking a trip to see Mellissa Ethridge, because she never comes to KY. You can't believe how excited we were when we found out that she was not just coming to KY, but that she was coming to Louisville. Then reallity sinks in and they realize that the one day out of the year that we couldn't go and see her is the day she is coming, because the wedding invitations have already been sent out. I can't imagine any greater gift than to be able to get Mellissa to stop by just to say hello to them. These two women are my best friends in the whole world and I would do anything for them, if there is anything that you can do to help make this happen. I would forever be in your debt. Semper Fi, Susan
Dear Ellen,
I think that you're the greatest,I don't get a chance to watch your show very much, but the times that I have watched your show,I have really enjoyed it. It's great to hear that your number #1 in the polls, because you deserve it. You have got everything a person need's to have to be a great talk show host and then some. You look so cool on the cooler, you go girl. Don't ever lose that great sense of humor.
Love John
Hi Ellen, I am in the process of writing everyone I can think of that has a big heart and a sense of humor....I have a major (to me) problem and very little time to come up with a solution.....HELP ME PLEASE! One of my dearest friends is getting married in September and has asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. I love her...I really do and do not want to decline, nor do I want to hurt her. My problem is I am a mother of two and have packed on a few pounds in the past few years and cannot seem to lose this weight with any success. Today I went and got measured and saw the bridesmaid dresses and wanted to crawl into a hole and stay there until next Christmas. They are so not "me", and they are so not for anyone over 120 pounds...I am begging anyone and everyone to help challenge me to lose weight, get fit, and fit into this disastrous dress by the middle of September. Do you have any weight challenge type programs or contests coming up? If so, can I sign on? I promise to be a good student and I hope by commiting to a public program or display of my excess "goods" I can actually lose the weight, wear the dress and shower my friend with love on her special day. Help me please and thanks so much for at least reading this!
Hey Ellen we love you and your show. Check out elephant painting self portrait on youtube. It's awsome. Keep up the great work kiddo. Love Bon@Mar
Dear Ellen
Hi
I have known these 2 very special people for quite a few years now .. I never met them in person because I'm east coast they are west coast and one of them is very sick so traveling is kind of rough, but we chat on line , and on phone ... quite often ..
I have never seen anyone that has the kind of relationship they have with love even though they are going through all this turmoil in their lives ..Everyone should have this kinda of love ... Through all the pain and suffering they have in their lives right now .. Their love is still there and stronger than ever !!!
Richard is the husband and is the caretaker because Mary his wife .. Has M.S and she had strokes and it's really affecting her body ..She also had many surgeries .. And her Blood sugar is elevated ..and she is on many many medicines because of all the pain she is in .. and because of all this they have many medical bills ..They(Govt) are cuttin programs that won't pay for the medicines she needs .. and they are cutting programs where they don't want him taking care of her, they want him to put her in a home which he won't do .. He is a very strong person .. But even now , He is breaking down .. and it's gettin tough for him to keep going .. and they are coming to dead ends .. for gettin help for Mary .
So all in all . I am writing to see if there is some miracle that you could help them with ??? some financial aid.. or some medicines or even a good doctor that could provide .. some answers to help them ..I think any help right now would be so welcome ..He is too proud to ask for help ...So I am asking for him ..
I was hoping with Mother's Day and Father's Day coming up in the next few months.. If for once they wouldn't have to worry for just a little while and get alittle help that he wouldn't have to do it all on his own and not feel alone ..
They have one son at the house that helps them lots .. but other than that .. It is all Richard . doing everything .. And it's so taking a big toll on him .. Even over the net, everyone that knows him can see it's hitting him really hard ..and honestly I don't understand how he keeps it all together ..
Their names are Richard and Mary Ratta.. They live in Cali.
He could give you the history on Mary and all the medicines she is presently taking .. and her condition at this time better than I can ..
I am so keeping my fingers crossed that you can help and one day he will come in chat or call and say .. Heyy someone might finally help us !!! Hope that day comes soon , because time is so running out ..
A Concerned friend of Mary and Richard
that thinks the world of them!!!
Sincerely
Nicki
Dear Ellen,
I come from a small town called Harrow which is near Windsor, Ontario. A few years ago, a friend of mine named Brady Thrasher from Amherstburg (also a small town near Windsor) started something great. He calls it the Affected Campaign. T-shirts with the word " Affected" on them are sold for $20.00, and $10.00 of every sale supports any charity of the buyer's choice. This campaign has grown rapidly across southern Ontario, and we would like to see it grow even bigger. We were wondering if you would like to wear an Affected T-shirt during one of your shows, to help get the message out.
Thank you!

Dear Ellen, I've e-mailed you before about my Great Aunt Myrtle Young about her potato chip collection. It's amazing, you'd love it. You thought that smile potato chip was really something but you haven't seen anything until you've seen Aunt Myrtle's. She has hundreds that are shaped like all kinds of things and people. Years ago she was on The tonight show with Johnny Carson and David Letterman's show and many others. I'd love for you to meet her and see her collection. She lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Love you Ellen and all you do, Stacy Miller

Dear Ellen,
I have to start by saying thank you for being such a positive hour in my day! When you get up and dance I get up and join you... (well, if I like the song I do). Today we were dancing to Timbaland, which I just love, and there was a man in the audience that caught my eye. I am sure that you will be receiveing many comments on this man because he was sitting in the front row in a wheelchair and just had a such a beautiful smile on his face and a rhythm in his dancing that made me stop and rewind my Tivo over and over again. At that minute I think I got it... Enjoy life everyday!! No matter what your own situation is, always appreciate what you have!! Thank you Ellen for being so honest and giving and making people like me stop and love life!!! I love you!!

Ellen,
Love how you dance over your coffee table, but for fun and the audience will go nuts over this, dance backwards over it you will probably get a standing ovation over it. Love ya, Georgi
Dear Ellen, love your show, watch it every day. I have a severe problem that no one seems able to help me with, maybe you can. I live in Barefoot Bay, Florida. My home was destroyed in the hurricanes of 2004 I live in a manufactured home community of around 5000 homes, we lost almost 1000 homes here. I ordered a new home from a Company called Four Star Homes. of Port Orange Fl. After moving in in may of 2005 I discovered wet mold growing in the living room. a few weeks later. I reported it to the company I purchased it from, also to Fleetwood, the manufacturer. However the problem was not repaired properly and the mold spread through out the home. It is under the house and also in the walls and on the floors I have been ill for the past two years and have developed asthma amoung other illnesses. My (than) kitten also developed asthma. The mold is so severe that I am having a allergic reaction to it as it is from the penniciullium family and I am allergic to it. I have had to move out of the home and stay with my son's and his family. I am living on the sun porch. This little home has become very crowded. The owner of Four Star homes is dragging her feet replacing my home untilI I agree with all of her demands ,she does not want to appear guilty for neglect. Now she is threatening to stall for 2 to 3 MORE YEARS before having a new home installed. So I offered to meet her demands and she is stil stalling. One of my cats is coughing more each day she is in the house, there are two older cats here and no room for my two. This woman has gone so far as to rent a temporary home for me, however it is unavailable until I see things her way. My health is going down the drain more each day, I really need any help that I can get. Any help would be appreciated, Sincerely, Sandy Jones
Dear Ellen
I love your show, when you dance I follow suit
at home, you can't help but get up and move.

Hi Ellen

We would go anywhere to see you!
Thanks
Dear Ellen,
I just wanted to tell you, I never miss a show. I retired a little over 2 years ago, I missed the first year of your show. If I am not home at 3:00pm I DVR it.
The reason I am e-mailing you, I won the washer and dryer on Mothers Day last year and my husband just finished building a new laundry room for me ( just for this). I love it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!.
Anyway the main reason for the e-mail is, I love seeing your Mommy in the audience. I am 50 years old and I think you and your Mom look good and healthy. I know your Mom does not live with you anymore, but when she is in the audience, you always joke with her, and I can see the the LOVE in both your eyes. I think that is amazing.
Keep making me laugh, I miss your shows in the summer but still watch the reruns.
Love you, One of your devoted fans. Sheila

Ellen - After being diagnosed with fibromyalgia 13 years ago, any exercise is hard for me. But after I started watching your show, I just had to get up and dance with you every morning. My excercise for the day! Thank you for getting my sedentary butt up and going every day.
hi there ellen. how i love your show. it's the best american tv show and you should get those emmy awards every year! one thing, you give chances to ordinary people, not just celebrities,to show their talents, from kids to those oldies. and you must be a very very lucky person to get those hugs from all of your guests.
there's one guy, though, i'd like to recommend to you. an asian, particularly from the philippines, who won the jazz vocalist international held in 2006 in london, england, besting more than a dozen finalists from other parts of the world. he lives in los angeles, california. check out his website www.mondavid.i.ph or www.youtube "mon david". mon is short or nickname for ramon.
have a nice day and lots of love.

Hi Ellen,
(I hope this isn't redundant, I left a similar message under your "List.") Remember when Gladys wanted you to move the pokey plant behind your head because it made you look ridiculous? Well Gladys is slipping because she neglected to tell you that pink orchids have been growing out of your ears for more than a month now. Just wanted to let you know you should probably move that orchid plant too. Otherwise, love the show, have never been to Chicago but hope to visit someday. Thanks, Lisa in AZ.
Hi Ellen
First of all, I love your show. I recently emailed you, but I guess you didn't get it. I entered the contest for the GMC Acadia. I wanted to win that GMC Acadia, and I am in need. I really need your help. I e-mailed you about my son who had two open-heart surgeries, and he has one more to go. We had to fly him to Philadelphia, PA for his surgeries which took a tole on our financial burden. Now, we have medical bills that are continuing to pile up, because it's so much that medicaid can pay. I lost my job and they denied my unemployment. So I just sit at home and watch your show for some laughs and to keep me going. Now we have to struggle to take my son back and forward to the doctor which is 2 hours each way. The way gases prices are rising, we have to skip some of his appointments. I am asking for your help, please. Thanks.
Ellen -
Love Gladys!!!!
How come you use such an old phone???
How is sleeping with the pets going??
I can sympathize as I have two Boston's who also take up the whole bed!!

He is just absolutly adorable and very talented and i would love to know when he might be on next or even Rainn Wilson, both hilarious. I know John is from Boston like me, and I am always hoping to see him around somewhere but i never do I am assuming hes never really in boston anyways. And i would love to try to get tickets also So if you could let me know anything that would be great and i would appreciate it..Thanx a Bunch Ellen!

I don't want to stress and worry about our wedding, when its supposed to be one of the best days of our lives. My children are so looking forward to us being married and taking a trip on a plane.
I just want to ignore it and hope that the trip plans and pays for itself!! HA HA!!! So PLEASE Ellen plan my wedding, so we can have the time of our lives and not stress over every little thing. Hi Ellen,
Well where do I start? I want to let you know I love your show. I always try to get my kids down for a nap so I can have my quiet time and watch your show. You always have me laughing within 2 of 3 minutes of the show. You are doing a great job, so keep up the good work.
I do want to ask for your help or advice in something. Let me start at the beginning. I went through my local mc donalds drive thru the other day and on the window they had a posted a picture of a baby girl only 5 months old, she has a brain tumor. Her mother works there and they were asking for donations. I wish I could do so much to help because I know if it was my child I would be devistated. I want to help but I have now idea how to set up a web page to get donations for her. I am doing good to work e-mail. I was wondering if there was a way if you could set up a web page for donations and ask people watching the show to make a donations. I can't get this little girl out of my mind. The little girl is in need of a surgery in St Louis and if everyone could just chip in one dollar, it would be a great help to the family. I am sorry to ask you for help, because I know alot of people do. Keep up the GREAT work that you do. I know you touch alot of lives. love ya Angela in Murphysboro, IL.
Dear Ellen,
My name is Brandy and I watch your show as often as possible. I was watching Thursday (April 17, 2008) and I noticed you had Leo Wyatt, the man who saved his neighbors when a plane crashed into their house. Well, I found a coincidence about that. On the show Charmed there was a guardian Angel who protected and helped the innocent. His name was Leo Wyatt. I thought this was an interesting fact and as soon as I realized it I had to tell you. I love your show.
Love,
Brandy
my 2 1/2 month old son, Ruger loves your show. He loves to dance. So every time he hears the music he wants to stand up and dance. He also smiles and laughs and it puts him in such a good mood. If we miss your show it seems like he is completly screwed up for the day. I thought you would like to know you have a young really young fan.
Hi Ellen,
Just wanted to drop an invitation for you... Since I won't be able to attend your show while in Chicago, well, I am still trying so you never know, I am inviting you for an authentic Puerto Rican homemade dinner at my home with my husband and my three lovely children. Will it be a yes? : ) We can dance too!

Ellen, love your show, always have a good feeing inside after watching your show,(along with the rest of my family). Back in Feb. I saw a short video with Dolphins in it, they were playing with bubbles, it was one of the most incredible videos I've ever seen, is there somewhere I can purchase this video or is it a private thing? I'd appreciate any imfo you could send my way in regards to this. thanks so much, keep on dancing. Dean Witthun, Box 103, Eagle Lake Ontario, Canada,K0M1M0.
I a mother of a two year old and I am expecting my second in october. I spend a lot of time at home. I always thought that talk show were stupid! I never understood why my mother got into them. Untill one day, my son finally took a nap and for once I had nothing to do. So I was channel surfing and I came upon your show. You made me laugh so hard, I love the dancing and the upbeat of your show. Now I never miss your show, it was nice to laugh at something beside my son! Now I relized why my mom watched talk shows!
You just have to find the one you like and YOUR SHOW IS FUNNY! Thank for all the laughs, and I hope you make me laugh for many more years.

Hello Ellen and Staff,
I work for Adult Protective Services and have interesting things come up all the time. This week I was notified by the San Diego Poodle Rescue that 2 standard poodles were left homeless when their owner passed away. A Good neighbor visiting and feeding them twice a day.
One is black and names Beaujolais (Beau) and the other is white named Chardonnay (Chardy) They are 9 and 10 years old, must stay together and are newtered/spayed. They have been adored all their lives. Please Contact Janine at San Diego Poodle Rescue jlgreeno@att.net if you can help place this wonderful pair.
I am in need of help. I don't want to leave my house. I have been living like this for about 20 years, but recently my mom died and now I feel like I really need to try to stop it before it gets worst again. I watch your show and during that time you make me laugh and I seem to forget for a moment or two that I don't have panic and life is good. I don't know if you are even the person that can point me in the right direction, and even though I have never met you, you seem to be a person I can trust and believe in. I have a family that loves me so much and I would love to be normal for them and for myself.
Please Lisa
Hi Ellen:
I watch your show almost everyday, except when baby duty calls. It sometimes is the only chance I get to sit down and enjoy a good laugh. My first born is 6 months old now and her name is Allison. Last year, when I was pregnant I remember you giving out Ellen onesies to guests on the show. They were adorable. I was so excited to have my baby, so I could buy one. It is almost summer and I wanted Allison to have one to show off to everyone; but when I went to the Ellen shop to buy one, they're not for sale. Is there any way I could buy one from you. I really, really want Allison to wear it for summer. Size 9 months is what she will be wearing by then. She is the most beautiful girl(everyone tells me that it's not just me bragging in a motherly way). She would complement advertising for you quite well.
I hope to hear back from you.
Desperate Mom in Michigan
Hi Ellen,
I am retired so get to watch your show every day. You make me laugh, you make me cry. When you show emotion, i am there also. I love your shows. And i have many gay friends and think everyone should be able to marry no matter what sex they are. I have been married 4 times and no luck with men. Maybe i should have been gay, huh? But i do have 4 beautiful children & 11 grandkids,so something was good from it. Keep up the good work. You are a very beautiful person. A devoted fan,Patti
Hello Ellen. I watch your show every day and when you had Suzane Summers on yesterday I was very excited about her face master. I am retired and I also have an eye lid that drupes. They tell me that I need to get an operation to correct it. When I saw the face master I thought maybe that would help. I really don't want to go in for another operation. I have had too many of them already. Can you tell me where I may get a discount on one of those face masters. I would love to give it a try. I also know that you are a true aniamal lover. I saw someting on the internet that blew my mind. A man had a dog, a cat, and a white rat. they were all friends and the rat sat on the cat. The cat sat on the dog and just seemed to love each other. I do not know exactly wheree it was. But I'm sure someone on your staff could find it. I do hope to hear from you. god bless snd thank you. Barry Morgan.

ellen,
I am the mother of a fifteen year old gay teenager. We have come a long way as a family. She had alot of issues in her school with male boys talking about her and then with her behavoir because she didn't have a problem knocking the hell out of them. When I realized the problem was tolerance instead of her fighting I was on a mission to educate the very people that should have been educating her. I put her in an alternative school and she completed two years in nine months. She went from failing middle school to being awarded the academic and athletic exellence for our county for the month. She looks up to you. When your show came back on the air I think she got a fresh since of hope. As a mother I want to say THANK YOU. You don't have any idea of the people you touch just being yourself. She looks at you and knows that reguardless of who she loves, she can accomplish anything. She is finishing her 10th grade year with a 3.5. I had her when I was 18 and quickly quit school 4 weeks before grad. I could not preach to her about school when I had not finished so I took my GED and enrolled in college. My first term I made the deans list with 3.75 and I was one proud momma.I am sitting at my computer thinking about my relationship with my mother. She has Sarcodosis of the lungs and skin. There is no cure. The doctors have told us she was in the last stages of her illness and the thought I should e-mail you. I would love for my mom to see me in a cap and gown before she goes to be with her father. It would thrill me to know end for Diamond (my daughter) to be able to talk to you about your struggles coming out.I have known she was gay since the age of two. I don't think she knows what the inside of the closet looks like but I do think it will be a great thing for her going into her last two years of high school. I want it to be the best time of her life like it should be and I want my mom to have what I cheated her out of. Her moment: seeing her baby girl in her cap and gown PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE e mail back

We recently took in a golden lab that showed up on our doorstep I started feeding her because she looked like she was half starved and would shy away every time we would go to pet her. Well she now has 9 puppies (born 3-28). We are renting our house and the landlord said after the puppies are weaned we have to get rid of the dog. I already have a dog and 2 cats. Can you or someone help me find a house where I can keep both dogs and both cats. I have 4 people who want puppies but I need to find homes for 5 more (all males).I've been looking for another home but it's hard to find one that will let me keep my pets. Please help.
Dear Ellen, my friend and neighbor Becky had a very tragic thing happen. Her dog's ran out of her house and got hit by a car. 3 were hit all at once by one car. Tess the little dog died and the other 2 are being taken care of at the emergency hospital. Becky is such a good person, she went to N.Orleans to rescue animals and fosters many animals. Her farm is in financial difficulties and with the cost of her dogs to be taken care of, she really needs help. Can you please advise me on what I can possibly do to raise money? Than you, Carol

Ellen for President!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, our world would be such a better place if you were the leader of our country. Think about it...Flo Rida could open every State of the Union Address...it would be mandatory to start each day with a dance...and not only would we have a universal healthcare plan, but our pets would have a universal veterinary plan! Forget about being a Democrat, Republican or Independent...let's all become registered Degenerists!! :)
P.S. When are you bringing your show to DENVER?! :)

Ellen: Wanted to let you know that my 70 year old mother loves your show. About 3 years ago, she lost her husband to prostate cancer. It has been hard on her being alone and not having a lot to do. She is a docent in the Frank Phillips museum which she absolutely loves. You make her laugh and she certainly needs that. She would love, love to see your show and would give anything just to be in your audience. She is the dearest, sweetest lady you could ever meet. Her best friend in Oklahoma was able to get tickets to your show so she is a little jealous over that one. I would pay anything to be able to get my mom to your show. If we could just get tickets, we could get there. Anyway, thanks for listening and keep up the good work and God bless you. Mrs. Shawn Irons
Hi,Thank You
for having Miss Iowa on your show. my granddaughter is 12 and has a mild form of CP also. We found out when she was just 4 months old. I worked with the disabled and from my experience I knew there was something just not right. We took her to the doctors and she had an MRI and they found left-side brain damage. We are so lucky to have found out so early.
She is a beautiful girl, and so smart and a great sense of humor. She also didn't know the word "can't". They doctors said she wouldn't walk till at least 3yrs.,no way were we excepting that, she was walking at 15 months. We would walk and dance around the house to a Phish song.
She has been in Girl Scouts, dance class,Cheer leader, and she loves to fish, and write stories. She doesn't have to wear her leg braces anymore but does have a slight limp. Her right hand is "fisted" most of the time. She gets really tired when writing so we are trying to get her a Laptop, since she will be in 7th grade next year and will need the extra help to keep up.She can type faster with one hand then I can with 2! She was picked on terribly early in school, some of the kids didn't want to play with her because she only had "one hand".
She is so loved by everyone for her strength in putting up with so much. We can't seem to go any where with out someone saying "Hi Dani". She loves to sing and has many friends. I have taught her how to cook and bake and when she comes to stay with me for the weekend once in a while she has a ball. She is a really good girl. She still won't accept "can't".I will post a few pictures for you too. Again Thank youI have taped the show so when she comes up here for "spring vacation" she will watch it.
Janet

hi ellen i was wondering if me and my family could come to ur show. i was wondering if u could give us some money cause my mom and my little brother got into a wreck and now she cant work cause she has 5 split disks in her back which causes her not to be able to work. i wish that u could send us some money because she doesn't get that much for us to servive thanks
Ellen,
I want you to be in the know about your hairstylist...he/she did a crappy job on this cut. You have beautiful hair but your right ear continues to stick out which gives the appearance of a large ear. The left side is fine but there is no excuse for the right ear to stick out. You can really see it from the side so you probably didn't notice. I mean looking into a mirror you wouldn't see the ear creeping out of the layers. We all need to be in the know and now you are. I'd ask for a refund...
Dear Ellen,
SET ME UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today (4-15-08)you had Shemar Moore on and offered to set him up. I'm not sure what he's looking for...you advised him to leave a list of criteria he is looking for and you would set him up.
I'm in Technical Sales in NYC, live in townhouse in NJ (from small town in Massachusetts), I'm 33, educated, established, funny, etc. Let's face it...you're wondering...is this girl for real?! Is she ugly?! I figured what do I have to lose! So here goes: I'm 5'4" 130 pounds, curvey 36"-26"-36", dirtly blonde long hair, brown eyes and I have all my teeth! They're clean and I floss every day - 3 x's a day! Oh, and I'm white.
I dvr only 2 shows - Days of our Lives and ELLEN! We have so much in common except I'm straight. I would love to find someone with your awesome personality. Shemar is hot and I love that he wrapped for you! My dog Lucy and I love your show. It's always a great pick me up so when I'm cleaning or doing a house project - even on a sunday afternoon, I play one of your shows. I love that you sleep with 5 of your animals! Lucy is a 65 pound yellow/chocolate lab - vislia mix. She sleeps in bed with me too...under the covers, head on the pillow. I'll send you pictures of me and Lucy. Hope to hear back from you!!!
You loyal fans,
Amy & Lucy

Ellen: How is it possible that you could answer so many e-mails and you seemed to miss mine?
I think this is simply an oversight on your part.
I have written to you more times than I can count.
I wrote to you about my nephew, now 3, who can name all the NASCAR drivers and their sponsors. I wrote to you to let you know my niece, in the army, had a birthday on February 29th. I wrote to you about a product my mother bought years ago that I believe beat the "Hawaiian Chair" or whatever it was called.
Strangely enough, and surprisingly, I also wrote to you and volunteered to be a guest that no one knows, just to see if the audience claps when I come out.
And don't forget, I wrote to you and said I would be a prop on your stage, like a lamp or something.
I love you and always have!!! Your show beats any of the talk shows on now AND those from the past.
The reason I think your show works so well, is because you are such a compassionate and caring person. You are honest and genuine.
Keep up the good work!!! And damn it, read my e-mail.

Dear Ellen,
I just wanted to Thank you for being YOU, you have brought much laughter into our home since you began your show.
We are going through some hard times right now, our pet dog “Jordan” is going on 15 years. She has been such a pleasure from day one when we brought her home from Washington state. When we were crossing the border into Canada, we were listening to Sass Jordan’s song “Pissing Down” and while I was doing the driving towards home my husband was holding the puppy on his lap in the passenger seat and she had a major pee (relief) on his lap. The interesting part to this story is that when we named her “Jordan” that day on the way home, we realized her mother’s name was “Sassy”, so it all fit together. At any rate our baby is getting old and we do everything we can keep her comfortable, even the 3 hour wake-up calls in the middle of the night to go out.
I was watching your shows the days you were in Florida last and when you were posing as a “Facialist” at a spa and had Pam lying before you and Carol with a “C” not a “K”. When you mentioned your name and was spelling it out for her, I laughed my face off.
I laughed and laughed until I was crying with such laughter, at one point I was running to the bathroom, I was laughing so hard. I’m over 50 so my bladder is getting old just like my sweet Jordan.
I have always admired your quick wit and my dear you are genuinely, positively funny.
So I am writing to you just to say “Thank You” I really needed the laugh.
My request is “BIG” to stay doing what you do best and that is to make us all laugh when we turn the TV on and see your show.
You have helped me tremendously getting through my days.
De’el
I work at home (which sometimes can be a good thing), but we recently moved and I'm really missing you! I've kept your show on every since I started working at home and now that I've moved, I don't have my directv set up in the office (husband didn't think I needed the tv on for company). I so miss getting to see you every day. I try to catch your website updates, but it's just not the same...
Missing you in Arkansas...
Hey Ellen,
For your Mother's Day show, I would love to perform my song "Mommy" live with a special dedication to all the mothers across the world. This song is a reminiscence of the joys and pains, smiles and struggles that EVERY mother and child experience, and even though growing up we may not know or show our appreciation, there does come a day when everything Mother instilled in us makes sense and we are SO thankful for the sacrifices she made along the way to help us become the people we are. PLEASE take a look at the heart-felt video for the song:

Hi Ellen, Your show is the best on TV...I love every minute of it. I live in Ozark County in Missouri. We happen to be one of the poorest counties in Missouri but we have the greatest kids. I go to each preschool and kidergarten class as Mother Goose. You know about Mother Goose and your parents know about her but the children today don't know about her. I dress as Mother Goose and bring some of my friends with me.I teach them Mother Goose rhymes then have them act it out. I enjoy it more than the kids do. When I am through I give them a sucker... and I have copies of Mother Goose coloring books that I have the school run off for me. I give them that too. What a joy that is...Gloria Noah

Ellen, Looking at your lunch menus it seems you try to eat healthy meals and make healthy choices when choosing what to eat. I have also watched your show (we record it every day) and noticed some of the foods you enjoyed during your birthday count down. Some real treats.
I don't know if you like cheesecake but I have a friend who makes the best cheesecake in the world. The "Best Cheesecake Ever". No, really I am pretty sure it is the best. If we can find a way to send you a cake without ruining it we will.
We will keep trying to find a safe way to send you a cake and if you have any ideas about how we can ship it safely let us know.
My cheesecake maker friend is Judi Anderson and she lives in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She really is one of the nicest people I know besides making the "Best Cheesecake Ever".
My partner and I love your show and sometimes will wait for the weekend and watch several at one time.
Thanks for all you do to bring laughter, music and good things into peoples lives.
One of my personal quotes to live by is, "Life is too important to take so seriously".
Thanks for being there for so many of us,

hand shake germs solution- introductions w/a hand shake gets u germs, also hugs is a way to get a body slam and a covert cop a feel, yuck- so was thinking about bowing as in japan, might be tricky if u dont know who is behind u, there is also the risk of butting foreheads, maybe noding to ea. other would if u know when to quit so u dont look like a bobble head, or we could just blink our eyes rapidly at ea. other. if u feel an attraction to them u could open ur eyes wide and whooooot/ ANYWAY
Dear Ellen,
Mail lady here. I am expecting great things from you next week!!! I am taking the whole week off from delivering the mail and I will be "watching" your show instead of "listening" to your show on the radio. I still hope to make it to a taping of one of your shows. Haven't heard from your show yet about when you will be near my home of Currie, N.C. I know you are a busy, busy lady. Oh, by the way, if you ever have Phil Keoghan from the show, The Amazing Race on your show, PLEASE, PLEASE let me know!!!! I would do my best to make it to that show. Maybe I could get him to let me jump on the "mat" and say that I am team number one, or two, or three. (anything but LAST). That would be a dream come true for me. I applied 5 times for the show, but no luck. I must have one hellacious case of the COOTIES!!!!:>) Well ladybug, I'll sign off for now. I am looking forward to watching you next week. Keep on dancing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Ellen: When you do the marshmello game sometimes it's not fair. Some people are shorter than the hanging marshmellows and they can't reach them. Thats why most of the taller ones win. You should have them adjusted to the highth of the people.
thank you for being a caring ,fun person , i like the way you stop to greet the handicap people on your last part of daning . thanks, for they are people to.keep up the good work making people laugh . your mother has to be proud of you

Hi MY Dear Friend Ellen, I feel like you are a dear friend because I love the time I get to spend with you. We have shared laughter, joy and yes tears together and the greatest of these is the laughter.
I have been sick these last few years but that's not what I am writing you about. I have lost my ability to walk a great distance and hopefully will be able to get around better soon with the aide of a scooter. I have a beautiful, loving sister which is a mentally challenged angel from Heaven. She helps me with so much. We fell in love with the cooler scooter we saw on your show and wondered if there is any way we could get the "how to" plans to build one for her. I would love to surprise her with one like Ellen's. Thank-you so much for the sunshine on the hardest of day's. I also have to tell you this is the first time I have ever wrote a fan letter to anyone and even if I don't hear from you I still will think of you as a friend and pray God Blesses you for you kind and loving heart. Your friend always. E
Dear Ellen,
In a time of utter despair, I have one hour a day I allow myself. It's your hour! My Mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung cancer 9/13/07. She has lived with myself and hubby and son since. We almost lost her twice, but through faith she pulled through. However my day's are getting filled with Darkness yet again, as her condition is failing very fast. I dont know how to do this? Is the only fraise that comes out of my mouth these day's.When she passes it will be in my home with her family here.I am rambling I am sure to a normal person's perspective. I know how much your Mom means to you! Maybe you will understand, you give me an hour of happiness. I thank you for that!I have had the worst 3 yrs, 2 surgeries do to a work injury, day before the last 1, mom was diagnosed. Then to put a cherry on top, the company i worked more than 75hrs a week for fired me after my first surgery. My Mom is my best friend, and was there for me through all of it! She is an incredible woman, and loved so much! Ellen how do I get through this? I dont know how to do this? She is only 60 yrs old. I dont know how many of these you have time to read, maybe you will get a chance to see this. Not sure. But you are a good person, with a heart! Always cherish your Mom and spend as much time as you can with her, because we just never know what our futures hold for us. Mine will be complete darkness. Thank you for letting me ramble.
Love Ya
Dori
Dear Ellen,
On a regular school day (i'm a 7th grade teacher) I leave schoolat 2:15 and go right to the gym. I always try to get the same treadmill thats right where the cannel is for your show. Working out is sometimes no fun at all, but watching you makes the time go faster.
Recently my father, who is only 55, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to face in my life. I have two younger brothers, one 18, one 19. My parents have been divorced for many years now so my brothers andI have always tried to do the best we can for my dad. My father is one of the most giving, selfless, and courageous perople I know. He has been an amputee since age 18 from being hit by a drunk driver but that still has not stopped him for running and working for his own concrete business along with being a life member of Somers Point's (the town i grew up in) volunteer firefighting company. I remember it being 2 a.m. in the morning, the alarm going off, him strapping on his leg and running out the door to go into a burning house. My father is the type of man who would lay his life on the line for you, however now his life is on the line.
Unfortunately there is no cure for my father, only chemotherapy to help the quality of his life for the time he has left. One thing that keeps me going is knowing that I can go to the gym and watch your show for that brief time to make me laugh. I enjoy watching you make things look so simple in the chaotic world we live in tody. So I guess I just wanted to say thank you for putting a smile to my face.
Thanks for making my laugh!
Sincerely,
Alyssa Elwell

Hey Ellen,
LOVE your show!!! I have to ask you though about the Marshmellow competetion....The contestants actually put their mouths on the same marshmellow.......ick. Looks like alot of fun but would really hate to be the 2nd one up...hehe.
Hi Ellen,
You probably hear this all the time, that you are an
incredibly gifted and unique individual. Never stop
being who you are. We love your show and your caring
and compassionate heart towards people going through
very trying times. Approx. 3 or 4 weeks ago you had
a male Senator on the program who survived cancer and wrote a book entitled "Don"t Quit" It had a real
impact on my husband and myself as the Senator was
basically given a death sentence as a result of the
disease but apparently is in good health today. Unfortunately we missed his name and have tried, without success, to buy a copy on the book. My husband was told it is unavailable in Canada. He has been diagnosed with terminal Melanoma and should have passed away this past Christmas....NO WAY..we will never give up the fight. It would be wonderful if you could get us some information as how to acquire this book. My deepest thanks,
P. Lindsay

Ok, first I want to tell you what most everyone does....How much I love YOU AND your show. There isn't anything about it I don't like....well, maybe just one. I am watching it now, Fri. April 11, 2007 and you are doing the marshmellow game. Its GREAT fun to watch and the faces they make. Today that one lady had her arms stretched out like she was ready to take off. lol. BUT~~~~~~~I don't ever see you 'wipe' those things they put under their nose? Ewwwwwwwwww..Maybe you should keep some of those little germ wipes near by..spreading germs is not good...lol. I would love to see your show in person some day...I love to watch you dance and your emotion you have with childresn and animals..Keep up the good work. Linda Omoletski. in N.M.

Hi Ellen, my name is Nirva, I'm 47years old, and I'M from Georgia. I am currently unemployed and I just can't find a job. I've always wanted to have a couple of foster kids and I think now would be the time. I think it would be a good idea to buy a home(while the market sucks)and open a foster care home, starting with a least 8 children. There would be 2 full time employees on the premises at all times, and I would get volunteers i.e college students, Big Brother/Sister program participants, etc. What organization will help me start something like that? Any help/advice will be greatly aprecciated.
Hi Ellen,
I'm 9 years old.My b-day just past and I tried to
get a cake with you on it, except they didn't have
one. They should get a cake with you on it.I watch your show every day except I couldn't yesterday because we had to pick my bro. from 1st grad book club. you are so funny, when I tell a joke no one laughs. I love dancing apparently you do to!You look so good for 50. I love animals, I have a dog, 2 hamsters, a gecko and a fish. I hope I can come to your show one day. I LOVE YOUR SHOW!

Hey Ellen......Why don't you .... introduce the world to HOW LOVING DARK HAIRED DOGS ARE.......MAYBE IT WOULD HELP THE SHELTERS ADOPT MORE OF THEM OUT TO PEOPLE.
I can't believe that some folks think that the color of a dog determines their personality...wow...I have many dogs of all kinds and black dogs are absolutely as sweet and loving as any other color.
Love you and your show...you're so great and FUN!! I turn you on just to brighten my day most days.
Hey Ellen,
I just found out that you are coming to Chicago and I am so excited. I have been thinking of what to write to you to make me stand out from all the other letters you get, but I've got nothing.
I have never saved anyone from a burning building; my dog unfortunately can not speak or ride a skateboard; my 16 month old son, although he bangs his xylophone, is no musical prodigy; my family is healthy, no heart wrenching tales to tell of. But I do share your love of laughter.
Like every other viewer, I TiVo you everyday and I swear the calories I don't burn off running after my son, I burn off from laughing along with you on your show!
I have always dreamt of coming to see your show and would hate to miss the chance since I live in a suburb of Chicago and will be so close.
Ellen can you make my dream come true?
Sincerely,
Heather Hendrickson
Dear Ellen:
I'm wondering if there is something you can do to help this family? Maybe with your sponsors or some connections they could help this family get back on it's feet. This is a story close to my heart as my daughter's house caught fire on Thanksgiving eve in '06. Her husband was working out of town and our 18 month old grandson was trapped in the house. Our hero a Des Moines police officer rescued him and saved his life. My heart goes out to this family as they've lost everything. This young man is putting his life on the line for us in the military and I just wish someone could help his family. I'll appreciate anything you can do. Time is of the essence as he's only been given a week's leave to find living arrangements for his family. Thanks Ellen in advance.

Fire Destroys Military Family's Home
April 10, 2008--A Humboldt soldier left his wife and baby last summer for a year long mission to Kosovo. An emergency at home brought him back to Iowa last week. Fire gutted his family's home of two years.
Shawna Stalpes and her seventeen-month-old son weren't home at the time -- just the family dog, which didn't make it out. "I couldn't even tell you what I felt. Just panic," Shawna said.
At that moment, more than anything, Shawna wanted her husband Brandon by her side. But the soldier with the Iowa National Guard was a seven-hour time difference away in Kosovo. Brandon's unit left on a peacekeeping mission in July and he had just been home on leave in February.
"I didn't think it was possible," Brandon said. "I didn't think something like this would happen. Obviously I was wrong."
Brandon went from living at the barracks in Kosovo to living at the Super 8 Motel back in Humboldt. He has one week to find a new home for his wife and baby before he returns to duty. "There's nothing left. We haven't been able to salvage hardly anything. So it's hard," Brandon said. "I don't think it's set in yet," Shawna said.
Home on emergency leave, Brandon says all he can think about is being a husband and father. But in a few days, the soldier will leave his family again and this time it's even harder. "I do have to go back. I don't want to, but I have to. It's a job," he said.
Northwest Federal Savings Bank in Humboldt has set up a fund for the family. You can send donations in care of Brandon and Shawna Stalpes to the bank located at 801 Sumner Avenue, PO Box 669, Humboldt, IA 50548.
Ellen,
I just needed to vent. I have been off of work since July. I got pregnant and had to be on bed rest due to my diabetes. You have helped me through this tough time by watching your show. I have been under great stress because I moved back to my hometown and don't have many friends left here anymore. Shortly after I had my daughter, her father took off and threatened us if I went for child support. I have had numerous phone calls about paying back my student loans and credit card payments. No one seems to understand that I am unable to pay these. They have been down right cruel. Also, just the other day I had to rush my Lab, Haley to the vet because my other dog bit her. That bill has come to over 500.00. I did receive my income tax check, but that will not cover half of any of the bills. I was wondering if you could have some research done and find out if there is anything I could do for help. It is hard enough coming up for money for diapers and other things my daughter needs. PLEASE HELP!!!
Dear Ellen
I watch your show regularly and really enjoy the lighter side of life in what is a hectic day. My 2 year old, Max, has just started watching TV and loves The Wiggles. After dinner, while playing in the family room, he often wants to watch their show. This is when I usually watch your show. He says something that I think is so funny, that I wanted to share. He has made the association that when you are on the TV he can't watch The Wiggles. When he sees you on TV he says, "I don't like that little girl. I want to watch Wiggles." Of course, as a family, we all take turns even with the TV. Ever thought about having The Wiggles on Ellen?
DEAR ELLEN,
FIRST OF ALL, YOU ARE HILARIOUS AND WE LOVE WATCHING YOUR SHOW! I WANT TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE LUCKIEST GUY ON EARTH, WHICH MAKES ME THE LUCKIEST GIRL, BECAUSE IT'S MY HUSBAND.
NOW LET ME BREAK IT DOWN FOR YOU TO EXPLAIN OUR GOOD FORTUNE.
*IN 1981 TERRY WAS SHOT IN THE LEG BY A DRIVE BY SHOOTER COMING HOME FROM A POKER GAME (ABOUT 9 MO. AFTER WE WERE MARRIED) HE SURVIVED!

Ellen,
I am so glad you are coming to our great city of Chicago and I was wondering if I could please get a few tickets. I love and never miss your show. I have lived here all my 40 something years and never even went to an Oprah taping. But you coming here is the greatest and it would be such a treat to be able to be in your audience.
Thank You So Much,
Kim
Ellen: I love your show. I watch it everyday. If
I have housework to do, I do it during the commercials.
My husband and I just went through a horrible experience. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. We came back here from my daughter's
house to mourn our grandaughter's death.
She was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, WHO IS A
FIEND! She left behind a 2 1/2 year old little boy. He is in my daughter's Denise's custody now.
This was so heart breaking. She was to graduate May 22nd from Rutgers University of Camden, NJ.
There was special on CNN, Nancy Grace Show, on Thursday,March 27th. She was killed on March 25th.
This was all over the Philadelphia and Nj news.
Krystal lived in NEw Jersey.
I didn't put the TV on until today to watch your
show. You lightened my heart a little. I was able to laugh a little.
My husband and I live in White Haven, PA in the
Poconos. It is two hours north of Philadelphia
and two hours south of New York.
Hi Ellen,
I work in the labs at a Hospital (very big) in Park Ridge, IL.
My birthday is very close to yours.. Jan. 24. Quite a bit older..63.
I look forward to the end of the day for my medicine. Everyday, after work(3:30), I go home to watch your show. My husband and I actually spend the hour, laughing, crying, and just loving you!!
You are coming to Chicago! I feel like you are coming to visit and I should prepare a brisket!! Ellen, I have a very full life. I am proud to say that I have 2 married children that have given me 6 grandchildren. What more can I ask for. Honestly, if I didn't have you in my life...something would be missing. To laugh out loud, is not necessarily a commodity these days.
Many times I have wanted to travel to Calif. - however - never sure that I could get tickets to your show. Now you are going to be here!! I would love to be at the show, see you, feel your presence, and possibly meet you.
Ellen you give so much to the world, you make us human with our laughing till we cry; you are so very generous, and you take.........
our breath away!
I do have a recommendation for you while you visit our city.
The marshmallow game is a very funny part of your show. What do you think about getting a dessert of 'some mores' . You can skewer the marshmallows - cook them til they are black and combine it with graham cracker and hershey bar!!!! I know just the place in Deerfield IL. We love to take the grandkids (all 6) there. We can take you!!!! Right now I am imagining you serving up the 'some mores' to all the kids at this restaurant!! What a sight!
Thanks to you for being you!!!
Sharon Newman
big old fan
PS: I don't want anything accept two tickets and fulfilling a dream of meeting you.
